The Standalone is likely to utilize a few graphical enhancements from Arma II, but overall, most graphic detail will have to be dealt by the developers. The DLC just allow HD Textures, so who knows if Rocket will make new textures or reuse old ones.

I would tend to it's wounds as much as possible. If possible, I will stop by any industrial loot spawn for parts and fuel. If that's not an option... ...always nice to keep a grenade in your inventory.

Well it completely defeats the purpose of a Zombie Survival game, making you seem weak and hopeless. If you are being chased, you need quick-thinking and try not to get cornered. If you are low on ammo or don't have a weapon, your best option is to try and escape. I can leave this as a simple exploit, just try not to do it anymore...

Just a small contribution to the 1K post milestone. Hopefully this meet-up has a few more people, but either way, the fun is always somehow doubled in the end.

Or it could just be Day Zed. This conversation has become really pointless, lets not get too into this. Anyway, BACK TO THE TOPIC. 24/7 servers are there, and they will be there if someone wants them to be there. Just filter out any servers that has a regular 24 hour time span with day and night, and all your problems will be washed away. I know that scavengers tend to play on these servers on the public hive specifically to safely get their loot, but who doesn't want to be holding a flashlight while checking a loot pile? It's so damn riveting!

Vehicles and tents are tied specifically to the server and not the player because you can't technically "own" a car or tent. Doing that would be too much of an advantage to the players. That's why several other players are able to hop into your vehicle and drive away, or take a peek into your tent and steal you stuff. You just have to hope that the next time you log in, you trusty tent will still be up and not be crushed by your UAZ, which also mysteriously disappeared. The game depends on unfortunate events, and vehicles and tents are a luxury, to have, but also a risk to have. I might be nice enough to put something in a tent I happen to find, maybe a weapon that I really don't need.

Development may have seemed like it only started just this summer, but this game has been developed over a long course of time, from Rocket's military career to today. I'm sure they have picked up certain elements from the mod, the feedback, and the limited ability of the Arma engine, and have done their best to improve on it. If it takes them longer, I am willing to wait. If it is released by December, I will most certainly purchase it...

I use a fine thing called DayZ Commander. I am sure there is a better third-party server list around her somewhere, but this is what I prefer. In it, a magical called filters allow me to choose what map, server population, and even server settings I wish to have. I also tend to read the names of servers to be sure whether or not it has a sudden influx of vehicles. Quite a fine invention, it is...
