Can someone explain how the loot is spawning in this current patch. option1. Enter a building wait 15minutes. Then wait 15 minutes in between loot spawns. option2. Enter a building loot spawns Immediately. then wait 15 minutes in between loot spawns. Everytime i run into a building its empty for a long period of time. Love the new patch though. Its nice to not die so much.

someone else set ours up. Given the files.. all you need to do is download everything, then upload to your host. and change the squad.xml for your team.

Nope.. I'd rather not play at all. But I keep checking back to read all the complaints from people that are sick of the current game style too. great mod though. It is very exciting when your new.

I agree with the original poster and so does most of the people I know. Am I wrong with this? DayZ - Broken down. Its the end of the alphabet. "Z" Zombie. I get it. "Day" means its NOT the first days of the zombie apocalypse. This means supplies are limited, Finding people is rare, cars are more than likely either broken or out of gas. I see the thrill, But it lasted only about 6months and I guarantee I will never run around in a game doing absolutely nothing but loot cycling again just so I can get a tire to fix a car that will eventually lead to me getting shot by someone who just wants the car and doesn't want to team up. That said... What would be wrong with DayA? The day you learn the zombies are here, its real and its not going away. When you can walk down a street and grab the car of your choice. Or walk into a grocery market and steel a ton of crap! The day when you trust your neighbor and are fighting over that last power generator. your willing to fight for it but not kill for it. I guess the problem with this design would be too many ppl. Lets face it. I dont think supplies will last very long when everyone sees zombies are here. Ive spent too long with this post.. lol

So this is basically an area where admins have their own private helicopters without fear of them being stolen by other players. When in all actuality you have no idea if your chopper has been stolen or teleported. BOOO to dayz.

Ive stopped playing DayZ. Not because of this update. But because of how difficult it is to survive and then you just get hacked and die anyway. Its nice to see they have done nothing about the cheating in the game and just made it more difficult to survive. More of the bad if you ask me.

where did you get your Arma2 files from? Did you run each game separately prior to trying to launch dayz?

I am having an issue launching my server on the UTES 1.2 version.. Please see details below.... After the server was handed to me I started DayZ commander and in order to find the server I had to filter "utes" on "Any mod" in order to find my server US 1456. Please notice, When I selected the drop down box that should filter out all Utes only servers my server would NOT appear. Now I was able to connect to the server for some reason. However, SOME, NOT ALL of my friends try to connect and they get a message that says. I have spent a considerable amount of time today investigating this. I have made sure we were all running the same mods. the correct beta versions. I have re-installed the UTES map and the latest bliss on my server. And still the problems above are there. Then I stumbled across this. I noticed when joining other UTES servers, not hosted by survival servers, I was no longer playing using the the @DayZ mod. Instead, I was playing using the @DayZUtes mod. I went back my server command lines and here I noticed that all other maps lingor, takistan, Zargabad, Fallujah.. They all launched under the @DayZMAP format. However, When you look at the UTES map. You can see UTES launches using only @DayZ And YES.. the folder and the mod does exist in the file manager. I can not change the command line. I have several tickets in and I have not gotten any responses. Please. Can you get someone to help me..

survival servers has updated their files to now host UTES with vilayers version. I am no longer having any issues. Than you, all that helped.

I concur. Survival servers has proven to be poor in customer support. I really don't mind that there is issues starting the server, as long as they can fix it in a timely manner. Its been nearly a week now and I have not been able to get players to join my server. Its like they are offering a sale as a last second effort to steel money from the public. As you can see. I left the server running last night. The only players that I know can connect are myself and my friend Takeknowtz. Players that I know personally that can NOT connect are... -=UGF=-Sheldon, -=UGF=-Neo, -=UGF=-Smitherines, Rick, Y3st3rd4ysTr4sh and MasterRage. How many others in this list do you think get the error? If your reading this post. Can you please try to join my server and see if you can connect. Maybe post your results too. NEWEST TEST I completely deleted my Dayzcommander recognized @DayZUtes folder/mod out of my arma2 operation arrowhead folder. I launched Dayz Commander and was still able to get into my survival servers utes server. So now the big question is. what makes my client have the ability to join my server, yet other clients can not?

Where I can not change the command line. I tried the following option. In my file manager for the server I renamed my @DayZ to @DayZ_Original. Just so I remember its the original :) I also changed the name of @DayZUtes to @DayZ So this way when the command line launches @DayZ its actually launching the addon contents of @DayZUtes. Then I tried to launch into my utes server using the DayZ commander. My game still launched version 1.7.4.4. and I got a your running the wrong version message. So then I used the arma2 launcher to specifically make arma2 launch using My client side @DayZUtes. My personal client was able to join the server. HOWEVER. My friend also tried the launching @DayZUtes using arma2 launcher. We verified eachothers @DayZUtes versions were all the same and he still got the error message. Not the wrong version error message. he got this message. What is it about my client that allows me to connect, where other clients are NOT able to?

I uploaded the vilayer bikey but it did not help. Im up to 3 out of 5 people that can not join my server. I have had tickets in with survival servers now for approximately 36 hours.

I would take a chance uploading the vilayer_utes.bikey myself, but I still wont have the ability to change the command line asking the server to start @dayzutes mod. Is it possible that survival servers just should not have offered utes?

I renamed the server to say its running version 1.2. Just waiting for the cache to update and have it displayed properly. Either way. I still have ppl that when given the IP get the error message as stated in the original post. EDIT: Ok, the cache updated on the commander. First post shows 1.2 in the server title, It does display when "Any mod" is selected from the drop down. However, when I i chose "Utes Only" from the drop down box No UGF servers are shown.

ersan. My clan hosts another server through dayz.st and we were going to rent through you but we had seen that utes was not an option. I have been put through the ringer trying to figure this out, It would have been a better option had survival servers just not offered Utes. I hope now that they can just fix the issue. As you can see the key is not there. Would it be possible for me to just upload the key to that folder? I still cant change the command line. Thanks for all your help.

Can I just point my server company to this thread and they might be able to fix it?

I know its a bit taken from warz, but I think the note thing they have is pretty sweet. I think it would be better utilized if we could use Notes to Identify belongings. Think of it. You could have pencils(tool) added to the loot table. then you could have paper found in residential areas. You could use the same animation as making a fire and all it would do is make a note saying some basic things. Maybe person who made it the note, and date and time. Then the user could place the note in the tents and ppl would have the ability to view it. I cant tell you how many times guys in my clan will find my tents. loot its belongings, then drop everything on the ground. Steel my vehicles and later on say.. Oh crap! that was yours! I dont want to give out the locations of my stuff. But if someone should stumble accross it they should know whos it is. OR.. on another note. It sure would be nice if we could have tents exit as we exit. :) Maybe a dream.

Alex thank you for bringing this to our attention. As I replied in the forums sometimes Gotcha and battleye kick for reasons we dont understand. I was the admin on duty tonight and I assure you we did not ban you. I have seen you playing on our server for a long while and I have never seen any issues from you. Please just try logging in again.

Thanks for the support on the idea. Its true google. As soon as one helicopter gets in the air, everyone might as well kiss their camps good bye. We have limited our server to 1 helicopter and chopper operators are NOT allowed to loot and destroy bases because of the ability to see so clearly when in the air. I also hope this changes.

yeah man. Cargo carrying scripts in dayz would be sweet. I used a script in one of the domination missions I made that allowed you to load vehicles in vehicles, other weapons in vehicles. Not to mention the transport ability how choppers can carry vehicles. This would be best. However, a simple bike in a truck would work for me.
