AI set to veteran,decked out in some vigilante outfits that spawn on map near a bandit every say 8 real hours with the goal of taking down the lowlifes with deadly force.:D You wanna be a bandit then deal with bandit hunters.It will deter some from taking that first life and will give excellent gameplay to the players who want to live this lifestyle. -
Forests too safe? Limit usage of matches?

The matches having a limited amount is excellent.Add to that meat that rots and your half way there.Then maybe have the backstory say that getting infected starts as a simple cold which is just that,a cold.But when you get sick and start coughing you chance to become infected yourself rises greatly from your weakened immune system.This way not only do u have matches and canned foods to have to go into town for but also antibiotics. Never found a knife yet but I would love it if catching a rabbit gives you one meal but a larger animal gives you many steaks to feed your troops easily.Also,animals should not stand around letting you kill them.I tried so hard last night to hunt this wascally wabbit for like 20 minutes till I finally gave up as it was running all over the place. -

Posted this in another topic but it will get lost and disappear. What makes bad people?If you think about crime you will realize that people who do bad things mostly seem to have been up shits creek a time or two.Drug dealers deal drugs why...to get a better life.The reason why alot of drug dealers are from slums seems like no excuse but its reality.Many murders take place from bad situations happening.Yes there always psychos etc but crime stems from hard lives and wanting a better one. I think the game needs a deterent to being a bandit and bad luck fits the bill here as it mimicks real life well.By giving bandits reduced loot drops you instill in them anger and that turns into murder and mayhem.So you wanna kill that person for their loot?You do it and your now forced into a life of murder.From then on you will find little loot and have to become a crazed killer.:P Then to put a little cream cheese frosting on their cake.... hurt their pride by a removal of their stats from leaderboards.

"If there is a god,will I go to heaven if I kill innocents to ensure my survival" is a huge deterent to real life murder.While in a post apocalyptic world many people will just say fuck it,not everyone will be able to escape the going to hell aspect or even want to kill innocents.To me this is a very gamey aspect of this mod in that while I always play a good guy I am now starting to want to be a bandit.There HAS to be a negative.Its gonna become a banditfest.:( What could it be??Karma giving bad luck.You get less loot,you spawn in high bandit areas(think of it as being born in a slum area) :D,no leaderboard rank???Those are enough to make a player rage kill. LOL Those are enough to deter many players.

I take it your not the good hearted types,in DayZ,by your name.You wanna be a prick and kill people instead of looting the humane way.But if killing from then on is forced on you,why do you care?This will deter the desperate people who kill once and then say thats it.LOL

I was thinking alcohol would be great to reduce paranoia.Maybe an effect where you start hearing footsteps and zombies even out in the wilderness and very far from any towns.

Number one is excellent.You can make a makeshift distiller maybe with parts you find.Distilling is the process of boiling water and collecting the steam which is pure H2O. -

Instead of classes what about allowance to choose your skills.Everyone is the same but you get a skill point to put towards what you want.This way we can all do everything but some are better than others at it.Three simple ideas but good for gameplay I think are.... Medic skill point allows bandaging more wounds with just one bandage. Military skill allows less sway while aiming and more endurance. Hunter skill allows one to survive longer with less food/water. -
My goodness I just spent 3 hours looking for water.I found so many water well pump things but no option to drink.This is a must have since all I found was loot after loot spots of empty cans.I will say it felt very realistic that the loot drops were very VERY little.But dying from thirst after so many zombie attacks thwarted and running from a psycho or two while running into water sources...it was sad to go like that.

Give us a knife to spawn and make it less powerful than the hatchet.I played last night for 3 hours only to find 2 weapons and never found any ammo.I did find a hatchet and got good at killing with it pretty fast.Funny when a person started making fun of me and I hatched him to death and I hear over the voice channel...he just killed me...HE JUST KILLED ME>lol -

I feel very stupid now for not thinking of that.:dodgy: A very good idea. YEP....remove their pride LOL.No chance to be on the leader board is incentive to steer a straight line.Kinda like in real life but instead we are being steered by Gods law of not being a killer.In game though itsdifferent as its just that' date='a game.Everyone can be a killer and then turn around and say AWW mom we ate chicken nuggets last night:@ I was also thinking a bounty depending on your murder count but that makes the world seem to too controlled instead of the chaos that a post apocalyptic world would be. [hr'] How about giving a sort of bad luck to murderers by spawning them new in areas of high bandit activity. ;) Maybe more bad luck by having a bandits sound and view difficulty very slightly more harsh. -
Excellent idea.Make shopping areas spawn them and way too slow offroad.

A great way to punish a bandit is to do what we do in the real world...punish their pride.What I mean is we need to look down on bad people and the leader boards do not do that.Remove bandits from the leader boards completely and just honor good men and women. -
I feel that the option to have bandit skins could very easily just be server side.Also,I posted that we should have military personnel running around trying to stop the infected so I feel a bandit skin should not be military looking.

If you make it so just a few elite players(the ones that have survived for a long time)can kill other players....then that is punishment enough.By allowing these few players to achieve PVP status you are basically pitting them against all humanity. -

If the game strives for a bit of realism,for which I tend to think it does,then realistically not everyone is capable of being a murderer.While some murders are born that way,some actually snap from life and its difficulties.I would think that a Zombie Apocalypse would be a huge maker of madness and so my idea stems. First step is to make PVP forbidden until a trigger is set.Then have it so that players that last a certain amount of hours OR kill a certain amount of zombies are given a choice of killing another living human.I am talking a good amount of time surviving or a pretty large amount of infected killed so that you really have to work hard to achieve it. A creepy message could appear that reads...... How many days have I been at this?Days or is it weeks?My mind stumbles upon thoughts that I dare not concentrate on.These people are innocent after all.This nightmare,and the few remaining survivors that I see here and there are all I have left.These people,are they people?What would happen if I kill a living person?Is this hell maybe or a test?Maybe if I kill innocent people I will be allowed into heaven?Or maybe just maybe I am the grim reaper and I will guide the sheep to this promised land . _______________________________Dare you lose your mind YES/NO______________________________ You then get a skin of a guy in a trench coat that looks all disheveled and creepy and maybe makes zombie noises. OR I am starting to realize,I am growing sick and tired of these other survivors.Either they loot out supermarkets for food before I get there or they find the precious ammunition that I myself need to survive.I could just kill them like the infected....right?I mean,if this is the end of days then maybe I am doing them a favor.Afterall,I have always fantasized what it would feel like to kill another human.Man oh man,this would be a perfect time to try this out finally.Yeah,that's what I need....fuck these people!! _______________________________Will you become a murderer YES/NO______________________________ You then get a skin of a commando type guy that is hell bent on survival if you desire....or not;) It would serve to keep the bandit population small and doing it in a realistic way IMO.I would think this would make people a bit less suspicious of everyone they meet while still keeping that feeling that there are some sick mutha fuckers out there.This will also give the bandit types a goal to work for. If no then maybe change the story of DayZ. The world as we know it has ended.Not only have infected people lost their minds but I am starting to feel that even the non-infected have changed.Could we "survivors" actually be infected but able to suppress its most debilitating effects?Everyone seems to be killing people wherever one travels.Bands of people are forming that seem hell bent on just killing anyone they encounter.I even saw a kid kill a dog then turn the gun on a little girl.I do not know what is happening yet I feel I must survive.For what reason I do not know yet.Maybe just maybe,if I survive long enough,someone will find a cure.I hope so,God help us,I hope so.
