I got started in Dayz by watching Sidestrafe vids until he died of starvation.Then I found Sacriel who is a blast.Those two are great!!

Looks great and makes me wish for a reason to wear gas masks in Dayz but I can't think of one.

Its pretty simple really.We all came here in hope of a survival game.A game that is hard to survive for long periods of time has never been done and Dayz has opened this door into a new type of game style.But it only went halfway and instead seems to be intent on making more a PVP game with some survival aspects added in.Just go all the way and make survival hard and thats end game.You want people to feel things like"wow I have survived for 2 days,that's my best yet".That is very addicting,just look at Project Zomboid.

Well I just found a cow wandering at the Neast airfield and now am at full health with 10 cans of coke,and my ammo just respawned to full amount and not a worry left,so I logged off.Man this game needs alot of work.:(

Nice idea there.So infected when at full health will fight for their lives and so they decide not to attack each other but when they are very weak and crawling around they can't fight back and so they become food to restrengthen the horde.

Just played for 4 hours at 3K blood and cannot for shit find animals bigger than rabbits to get my health back.I posted that I wanted this in past and now that I am experiencing this shit I find that I absolutely love it. :D Four freaking hours searching my ass off trying to find M249 ammo and animals bigger than rabbits(while avoidng infected and killing bandits) but I can't complain because if I had stumbled upon the multitude of cows I usually do I would of been at full health after 10 minutes and logged off from boredom.The game,now that I am frustrated,feels more real to me.IMO survival is awesome for game play but I just think Rocket is afraid to go forth with this since many people will complain and rage on these boards to no end. The problem of tweaking food drops(reason IMO Rocket does not mess with it)is that many people will die just to starvation and the players will revolt.When I am at low health(but fully fed)and searching for large animals to hunt I feel immersed into the world and I feel that this is due to no time constraint on me.When I am starving to death though.....if food is very scarce,and yes I have died from starvation,then its super annoying and I start to hate this survival aspect of Dayz.Its supposed to be immersion enhancing not game breaking. So how to fix this is the question.I think a fix would be to remove starvation leading to death while keeping dehydration leading to death.Why....because food is health and if your starving and food is scarce you now have to tweak two issues.One is that as you scavenge for food your blood will be dropping at same time because food/animals are so scarce and when you do finally find food it will just give you back what you lost.That is hard as hell to tweak since you do not know where players will search and you WILL lose alot of players from frustration.Keeping the death from dehydration though is different because you have watering holes and wells placed around the maps.Forces players to keep good notes on their location relative to the water spots.Whats great is players will still have the survival feel since you will be searching out watering holes(always stationary on map) say every 4 hours but will not die from food that is very scarce and most important hard to find on map. So food is just to increase health and fluids are just to prevent death We probably need to start a poll so maybe Rocket sees that many players want a harsher world to survive in.

Weapons make a different sound depending where you are in relation to the barrel end.When you hear snaps you know bullets are headed your way.;) Just do this test to see it in action.Go into 3rd person and fire a weapon and as you do move the view around.You will notice it sounds different when watching from behind as opposed to from the front. -

What if the game devs would add in a LOS to the 3rd person game style.Right now in 3rd when you walk to a corner and then turn your character towards the wall you can see the person standing around the corner.Change this so that the person who would be spotted is now invisible until the player leans his head in to actually look. -

First off,no one wondering how good this really is?They are just changing the head gear here fellas and that opens up a whole new world for Dayz.And for heroes,Rocket says that a scarf and some kool pouches.So kool even though scarves to me are so gay looking.Rocket if you read this please posts a pic so we can vote on this scarf look.;( Right now I am shooting everyone and that sucks.Its deathmatch and this game deserves better.And we still will not know everyones intentions here because even though the person in same room as you with the axe is not evil looking.....they could very easily change their mind.;) -
What Rocket needs to bring is one other option when choosing male/female.This one for all those who so desire.... ;)

Why are people bringing up the single player campaign considering that it has nothing to do with Dayz?There is no mention of USA in the description of Dayz either. -

Yep,against unarmed men they are an asset,sadly though I still do not see how they will be used in Dayz where enemies are geared with weapons. -
Yep random skins would add fun factor and look more realistic too.And then finding better wilderness survival type outfits would be great find but as pointed out....a bandit in a priest skin would rule! And shorts and Hawaiian shirt is awesome.

The problem with wanting to dumb down the infected is that the game gets super boring then in between the gun fights.This is not like CS where you can find an opponent around the corner but instead its a huge open world map that is HUGE.You must run around for a good while looking for people to kill. Right now I get so bored I have to find action by looking for players to PVP with.This is why I keep saying that Rocket should make two versions of the game that a server can choose to run.One is an easier type where drinks and food are plentiful and infected behave as they do now and another hardcore server where you enter at your own risk.You need to constantly scavenge from town to town since food is rare,where the infected are aggroing faster,they are harder to lose and hit harder.When the infected are aggroing from further away,are hard to lose and hit you like a bull then the game puts the player on constant edge.Yes there will bandits still but everyone is trying to just stay alive. -

Great Loved the newer movie.As for people that think zombies should be less of the game and people should be main enemy I present this video.Just goes to show if the infected were way more deadly how would the players team together to survive. -

This is the deciding point sadly.Do I make a game that is harshly realistic and to point where people will be running around weaponless and crawling everywhere to avoid the infection OR do I make a game that allows people to grab guns and then battle it out.Its not a choice I would wanna make....yet I feel that it could easily be cured with a server choice of spawn rate. -

I can envision a zombie movie which was less a human conflict movie and more a zombie survival tale and it would be a huge hit.People banding together and out of 30 people by end movie there is 5 and finally one and then nothing.It would be a very moving movie be sure.;) -

Not sure what your post means.I was just pointing out that the bulk of their income was as a military training simulator developer.Hey I am grateful they make a civilian version for us and I can understand their choice to not put so much effort into fixing Dayz.This is Rockets baby and so we need to push him into making it standalone already. Rocket.....go forth with the minecraft model and so the close to a million people that just recently purchased A2 to play Dayz are still loving the game and will spend their money to fund further development.
