First off I love the look of this and this screams to get rid of the bandit and hero skins.If Dayz adds full clothing piece by piece then this mod will sell like hotcakes but the bandit skins ruin this experience.Maybe have the hearbeat that the instant you place the cursor on a person you hear the hearbeat and loud?? EDIT....NM this as a baclava mask is perfect and forced clothing is kinda a punishemnt yet it looks good.On the other hand good people will have access to moth covering bandanas,hats etc to also look kool but not evil. :) The full 3D view is such an excellent idea allowing a player to view how they look yet still play in 1st person only servers.Bravo for this one!!I agree with Wraylir in a separate screen for outerwear to get rid of the excessive clutter.So when you first press G the full contents of the backpack should open up and below it the stuff you carry on your self in pockets etc.Then click on a body icon and all the stuff your wearing is there.Think the 3D body shot showing whats being worn and each individual piece of clothing/equipment in their respective boxes.Feel this would tidy it up greatly. And for the love of realism,make it so you cant carry a huge toolbox,hatchet,crowbar,baseball bat all on your belt.This stuff should make the player have to choose what they will carry and all go in the back pack or if thats not gonna happen at least show the stuff on the 3D model. -
Nice attempt but I really feel a drag and drop system is what Dayz needs.

Rocket agreed that pencils and paper would be great in game and said in standalone.Then you can leave all the love letters you want.

Are you freaking kidding me??I aggored a ton of zeds and ran to a powerplant and up a ladder.When I turned and saw the zeds climbing up after me I cheered aloud!!! Was so fucking kool to see that IMO.And for me I believe the infected are humans that have a part of their brain that controls intelligence destroyed by the virus.This means they become more like monkeys or even primitive man with inability to use man made items but retain the monkey ability to climb. ;) Also,there are many reports of bacteria or insects that invade an animals brain and actually control the animal.Studies show that gut bacteria can have profound effects on lab animals changing their behaviors so much.Things like a rat being a rat and staying in pipes from fear of being in open spaces.....give them a certain bacteria in their food and suddenly they are running around outside with little fear.

Yah for the dots being tied to difficulty.So now we just need Rocket to add some earned skills that you lose upon death. For weapons I think a change to dispersion for each weapon would work rather well.As I modded my own Stalker game yrs back I modded dispersion slightly so that in close quarters the weapons were all highly accurate<<this being the total FAIL of Stalker series IMO.When I first started the Stalker game and found myself shooting at a bandit ten feet away and not one bullet hit I knew it was modding time. ;) I am more talking about just seeing bullets hitting around a target that is at range and a tightening of the dispersion as skill level is achieved.Again slight so that at say 600m and aiming for the head of a bandit and my bullets are hitting his chest or around the head etc. Stamina....for me I would rather see the animation of running be changed to jogging instead and then this speed allowed for long times=as is right now with the unlimited running.Would make it feel more real.This could be enhanced with coke drinks giving a slight speed boost,just enough to where you feel it but overtime you will notice it on the time to arrival.Sprinting should or rather could be done to have stamina where after a certain time,maybe one minute,you need to walk.And this could be tied in with your ability to lose zeds so that as you gain in skill your time to sprint increases to its final amount of 2 minutes.Plenty of time to lose the infected aggro you incur.I feel Dayz really needs this as the running thru towns knowing not a single infected will touch you is terrible for immersion.I read that Rocket say that eventually the zeds running in buildings will be eliminated and that is just excellent news!! -

Maybe have the blurs at screen edge start off blank or turned off.Then as you progress they will slowly start to get bigger and bigger until they look exactly as they are now.As I only eat meat in game they help me to stay alive.Many times I have been blinking red and starving to death to suddenly spot a blur at edge of my screen and hence see the tiny rabbit running parallel to me.Of course fix the seeing blurs thru buildings etc. -

A parking lot??What Dayz needs is a freaky huge abandoned junk yard and the parts needed to repair vehicles expanded.Make this place a must go to spot if you find a vehicle in need of repair,like a hospital is now to meds.And if Green Mountain stays in game then make it spawn a special item....maybe parts needed if you find a radio. -
I say leave SP for other games that will do it better.SP needs a huge world filled with zombies in closets that jump out at you,things that you find that will lead you on paths to other places etc etc.This is a lot of work and drains the resources from Dayz but a team that is geared towards SP can make one killer game.Think how creepy Stalker was at times with music cued to certain sequences or just think of original Resident Evil.;)

I still think Chenarus should be starter map and the next map should be where advanced players go to upgrade to the better equipment and die.So by making Chenarus wiped clean of any advanced equipment(assault rifles/sniper/NVG stuff)you now have a way to make players feel death more as you will have to respawn in noob world till certain conditions are met.You also force a feeling of advancement that Dayz lacks by making new spawned players strive to survive to make it to the next kooler map.The next map can have more in terms of larger cities,junkyards,huge cemetaries,humongous military base etc to fight and survive in.

Its not perfect but it adds a more severe death penalty yet retains the game as it stands right now.This will make you actually strive to survive rather than just go to town and PVP for the Lulz... I do not care at all what my stats are.If I die and have 15 bandit kills it just means I screwed over 15 people and gives me no joy whatsoever.Now if I die after getting to the next map I would be pissed the mutha fucking off!!!LOL maybe its not a good thing to do then as it might make people not even want to play the game.Maybe 12 actual game played hours is less severe.

I added this into another thread but it fits here also......what about you must survive for say 3 days and then your allowed to head further north where the real devastation of the infection has taken place.Say your crew is a bunch of boobs and still on Chenarus=you can get geared at your tent easily if you die.Problem though arises if your in the further north map and die....screwed over for 3 days until access is granted again.

Maybe come out with the Chenarus/plus map as base for standalone.Any new maps added into the mix though are only gotten to if you survive for say 3 days.Put some stuff in them to add to the draw....maybe that is where you actually build the underground structures?Like in the MMORPG Fallen Earth where as you progress you enter new maps that have new things but with the looming feeling of perma-death hanging over your head.I am thinking that Chenarus as it stands now could be the outskirts of the area that got hit the worst when the infection started.Make the second map you enter a total warzone.Pure immersion with destroyed buildings and death everywhere type look to it.

Would love to see the dead military all over the map actually have loot spawn on them.Was crawling thru thick grass in a small town and stumbled upon one and thought how hidden this body was that it would make a great find.

Dogs are for the tears that strengthen Rocket somehow....his words not mine.He seems to feed off the suffering and what better way than to "give" pets to the carebears fully knowing they will die easily.

This post is awesome and I absolutely agree with both weapons and outfits.I love going into the editor and messing with the Russian weapons that could be in.They all seem to fit the world of dayz better and it opens up the possibilities of new maps centered in bumfuck USA somewhere with American weapons.Sadly I do not think the Dayz team believe in consistency.The front page says post soviet Chenarus......the weapons and food should be post soviet for consistency. -

I am sorry to see that and feel your pain.That said,I have complete opposite as I had a hacker guardian angel.I swear I was running in forest looking for drink as I was losing blood and suddenly a voice says "check your pack".I look in pack and its loaded with soda and food.Drink one and then start running towards next town.I arrive and my guardian hacker drives at me in a range rover type vehicle nearly missing me.I thought he was gonna run me over but instead the vehicle stops and he gets out and runs away.I get in vehicle and for next hour every where I go this Guardian Hacker was killing anything that stepped with 10 ft of me.Thing is that bullets were coming out of thin air as there was no one insight but enemies dropping around me like flies.Suddenly bandits on horizon and guardian hacker says "check your pack" and I find my first AS50.This time there was no help from him and I took down one guy but the other two were gunning for me.I ran towards the powerplant and suddenly my guardian hacker says "check your pack" and inside is an Mk48 Mod 0.I lay down these two thugs easily and then hear a voice say "goodbye"and just stood there for a minute waiting to blow up....but never did. -

I also feel the Arma engine looks fake when the colors are vibrant and then looks better when you start to lose health. I permanently lowered this so the color is never super vibrant even at full 12000k health.If you have Nvdia card just go into control panel/adjust desktop color settings/drop digital vibrance from +50 to +40
