Street Sign Need English Name and Why

Authenticity and realism aside: what's the point? There is no real valid reason to bother. I am sorry, but if you bother to read a road sign and cannot understand what it says then you are most likely just taking a quick glance and thinking "meh, never seen these symbols so I will not bother". Here's a quick tip: You know where Electro, Chernogorsk and Balota are? Go to them, look at how it is spelled and match the sounds to the letters (English versions sound just as they do in Russian). If you cannot read every single city sign from there then go do it again, because obviously you didn't. Now going back to authenticity: The people are correct. There is no authentic reason for signs in English to be there. You would just not find such things. That picture with the street names is irrelevant. You will get the English names in large cities with a bulk of English speaking traffic (let's say Airports, tourism hot spots etc). Go outside of the city into the countryside and I doubt that any of those will have signs other than the native language. Russia aside, can you honestly say that going into the deepest parts of Ukraine or Poland or Germany or anywhere else, you will have all towns all smaller cities labeled with names in English?

    To all killers

Meh, if you have a gun, you are a valid target. If not, kneel and press F2 - you'll put up your hands behind your head: after that it's rotten kiwi feeding time!
  3. The game needs both in due moderation. I see nothing wrong with bandits. I see something wrong with the mentally ill people who stalk the starting areas with their sniper and assault rifles who just enjoy ruining someone's day without the challenge or thrill. Now when you meet a genuine survivor or bandit who is armed to the teeth and out hunting or looting, that's where the thrill is. The bandit has to be careful enough not to alert the survivor and die whereas the survivor will want to be careful as he is playing for survival instead of a simple FPS with zombies in the mix. Sure zombies need tweaking but alpha is alpha. The problems right now are the people who go around killing others on sight and call it a "challenge" when there is none to be found. However they must exist. For the survivors do need a challenge and who else to provide it but some bandits that can't sit still with a gun in hand and a player in sight for fear of dropping back into CoD or BF3 (not that there is anything wrong with the games). That is my opinion though. You are free not to care as I am free to express it and not give a damn about the response as it is just as meaningless :D

Server hopping: a way to limit it?

Nonsense I say. Right now server hopping is something that might be exploitable but also something that is very necessary because there are players who just keep shooting everyone on sight just for the heck of it or using barbwire to block off all loot areas. What's your choice? Jump to another server. If there are people like that there? Jump again. You want to penalize that?

    PvP

I think there is a need to cut down on the murders a bit. For one I think that just shooting a person in the back should somehow penalize you. Killing someone once or twice would be still more or less ok. But if you shoot all 20 people you saw in the past 5 hours you should get a smack on the head. For example zombies find you easier. Or if you keep killing players they get up as an extra strong zombie and attack you. Might somehow slow down the griefers. Another thing I would like to touch on is killing for gear. It's all fine an dandy being the douchebag and killing someone for that knife of his, but how about making it so that if you shoot someone there is a chance (I'd say 60% is about right) of some of the items breaking. Like a drinking flask getting a hole in it so it's unusable, a knife gets chipped and is also unusable. Basically anything the player carries can get damaged if you shoot him. Would be more realistic and might encourage hold ups. Give me some of your stuff or I kill you instead of just plain old shoot him in the back and loot him for what he's worth.

Solution For Disconnect Exploit = DEATH

10 seconds would be more than enough. A zombie if not kill, would inflict lots of damage. As for players I think we should leave the option to just disapear from the face of someone trying to murder you. Because right now there are just too many griefers that hunt you down. Either make a penalty for killing other players or allow them to disconnect. Today playing with a friend on TS he said that there were two guys chasing him screaming over the Voip that they are friendly.

why do people have difficulties starting w/o weapons

The reason for this is not because people are not good enough to get a weapon I'd say. I die a lot recently. And I am rather stealthy when it comes to zombies. However the problem is that most of the spawn areas where you would preffer to get at least something are plagued by players who have nothing else to do but hunt other players. Generaly this is what you will find 90% of the time: All areas blocked off with barbwire. At least 1 or more people roaming the area checking these places and killing players on sight.

    Shoot First, Wonder Later?

Yah, I think you should have some sort of penalties for killing people. Basically if you roam around killing. Right now I dislike going into the game without a friend I can communicate with through teamspeak. When there are two of us it's usually easier to get back at these guys. However there were countless times when I was just shot. Last time I was doing pretty well. Got a Lee Enfield, revolver with 3 mags each, 2 drinking flasks. Only thing lacking was food. And while I was trying to make my way out of a village through zombies while crawling, someone was doing the wait and observe thing. Their decision upon a few seconds of observation of me crawling AWAY from them? Shoot me in the back. I tend to carefully look at other people approach me and I always aim at them and am ready to fire as soon as they look at me. But now I believe since there is no other way it will be more or less shoot on sight.

    Barbwire really?

The way it is now, barbwire has no place in the game. For the most part it is useless as it is most often used to wire off loot spawn areas or houses. I have been jumping servers today and one of them was incredibly horrible. Both major cities near the spawn areas had EVERYTHING barbwired. Essentially it is impossible to get any items at all. The people that barbwire everything are roaming arround killing the people. Here are some ideas: barbwire only holds for 5-10 minutes. You can move through barbwire at 60% normal speed or alternatively atempt to dismantle it (no toolbox needed) with a 70% chance to fail and loose some blood. Somehow limit it so that a single person can never set up more than 3 short pieces of barbwire. Everyone starts with a cutter that can destroy a barbwire. These are just some of the ideas.
