I have 3 servers, Currently #1 will stay running for 12hrs without restart #2 every 4 hrs and #3 (Vilayer) every 2hrs. -
A lot of patience and a lot of coding/guessing the edited arma 2 protocol. The actual hive part was easy, dedicated server not so. But runs way better than I expected.

And this is why I run my server on a private hive, I have combated mostly all hackers that appear on the server with a lovely battleye ban and inventory wipe/ teleport to the sea.

I will keep one of my servers up for 12hrs without a restart, let me know if it becomes unstable for being up for so long.. Give 198.245.61.126:2302 a try. -
No server admin has access to any kind of maintenance! Do not fall for that crap, its another admin abusing his own server for loot to KOS on other public ones. Bring on private hives like mine to solve this abuse. Only the GSP has access to the files, so this kid was lying. Report and tag. Also you are not banned, the server list glitches sometimes, restart the game and you will be fine.

Remember, DayZ SA has a bit of the Arma 3 engine in it, the weather system comes right out of it, so does some of the items, for example the plastic water bottles and cornflakes. Don't worry nothing has been stolen from DayZ.

Personally I think zombies need to be worked on, they are not a threat, buggy, and can see you for miles. People have an incentive to just kill other players because there is no real survival feeling, yeah 1 or two zombies now and then.. oh look tons of weapons, let me blast that player running into "my" town. What we do not need is more weapons.

I had a funny encounter with a ladder at the NW Airfield today, shot me through the ground and I died about 700m away from the ladder under some building, but alpha is alpha deal with it for now, can always gear up again, though I am missing my extra slotted vest!

Its possible and can be done, you can either use a VM or boot camp the system to use a windows os.

An appeal to administrators of clan servers.

The main reason is this, you pay for a 40 slot server, that's near enough 80 to 100 a month. If they remove your server, they loose income. They wont remove a server that easily, its all to do with money, not the experience of users playing on that server. -
That graphics card is a little low, but it should play.

Vilayer is actually getting into gear now and closing abusive servers they find every Wednesday when its maintenance. Though this could be just words from the GSP's because I have seen many abusive servers staying up. Though I stay by my first words, paying over 40.00 a month, you should have some rights to your server. You pay a heck of a lot, close enough to what some people pay for internet access here in the UK. Though servers I do think need to be banned or forced onto a private hive, are servers that clans gear up on, kick others off while they gear. Then go KOS crazy on public servers. -
I have found two at a school building in cherno and 1 in the police station.

Me too, this is why I refuse to rent from a GSP, too expensive and no control to something you pay 40+ a month for.

All server owners can do if you rent a server is kick them, no banning or anything works at this moment.

Has Anyone Else lost Faith in Dayz?

Only real issue I am having with the latest patch is my server with Vilayer is crashing every hour when I reach over 15+ players. -
If a server has issues connecting to the hive, you can risk getting wiped, since the server will create a new character for you, if it suddenly gains connection to the hive again while you are in game on that server with a new spawned char, it will send the SAVE command, and your data will be overwritten.
