Paranoia, mostly. Coming into this game, I was willing to scour the coast to find a few people, maybe to help them out. Then, one by one, most of them turned on me. Shot me dead, pretty much. So now, I stick with my group, and if I've got the shot, I'll take it. Don't want that player sneaking up behind me when we're not looking.

Damn. Would've loved to get my hands on the CCO, if nothing else. A buddy gave me one once, a week or so ago, then a sniper picked me off while our team was surveying the hills over Stary. Granted, it was my fault for standing up in my ghillie, but still... Anyways, back on topic, congrats to the recipients of these fine items. -

I'm pretty sure this has been brought up here before. Not sure what the reception what then. (Lost track of the post, but I could find it if you give me some time.) But that aside, I would love to see it in the mod. I've had one too many times where I just can't understand why I can't side-step through a doorway. I have to put myself into a fairly disadvanted position to continue the game in a way where, realistically, I could play it safer. +1 EDIT: Found it! At the time, I didn't have a forum account, so that's why I didn't post. But I definitely thought it was a great and realistic idea. The physics engine of ARMA at current, with collision, can be pretty wonky at times.

I stopped reading after this sentence entirely. I don't think you understand the argument here at all. It's not that they don't like looking at it. They can't look at it. It makes them physically ill. I'll refer back to this post for why your argument is null and void. -
Well, I'd feel bad about it (more than usual), but I don't play friendly with anybody who isn't in my group. Of course, that may also be biased by the fact that I've seen a guy toting a flashlight shoot someone in the back of the head with the Makarov we gave him no two minutes earlier. So even the most defenseless survivor could be a clever ruse to get your guard down.

The DayZ community: Not caring about motion-sickness since 2012! Yes' date=' because Rocket has already decided he has no quarrels with catering to those with real-life disabilities on one issue. So unless you have a solid reason as to why he should help one small part of his player-base that is effected by a disability and not another, I think your point is void. -

I would actually love to see this. But it'd be a little too easy to exploit. So that's why I'm not exactly keen for it. Otherwise, yeah. It's a pretty nice idea to help rebuild small hamlets in the zed infested world.

Might not be the most logical thing to answer this question, but which supermarket? With your broken leg, getting to a hospital might be a helluva trek, and you'd be better off stashing your body somewhere and respawning. Also, with your hunger, it's even more a reason to just respawn. I doubt you'll be able to make it to morphine in time. That is, unless you can find a kind soul to help you out.

I actually like this idea. It's kinda like some omnipotent being is looking down upon you, smiling and giving you a thumbs up, saying, "Good job! You've ensured your further existence for another day!" Nah, I'm just fucking with you. 'No' was just too short to post.

I'm pretty sure we already have auditory hallucinations. That is, unless somebody can tell me what gate I keep hearing opening and closing when I'm out in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.

I would assume it's less than about 5 meters, if even that far from the crash site. Never found anything further than that.

I would hope so. Ran across one with 4 FALs on it two nights ago. Unless that was a really vivid dream of which I pulled the 4 FALs into existence from.

I'm pretty sure you just proved my point by saying you've never found rare loot (as in' date=' NVGs and rangefinders) without farming. Bet you've never found satchel charges either. But yeah. Unless you get lucky, or head back after very long intervals, you probably won't find what you're looking for. Unless it's a pretty basic weapon. There are a shit-ton of spawn points across the two barracks in NW alone. Anyways, that aside, it is mostly luck if you don't farm. And since my luck tends to run in directions I don't want it to (such as getting four FALs and two ANPVSes out of a single helicopter crash [FALs are just too damn loud for me']) I just resort to farming. The only thing I'm really picky on lately is finding NVGs, because I'd like to stop being the only one with them in my group. But since they seem to be rarer than water in hell, I dunno if or when that's gonna happen.

There is an island. Just set up shop there. Can't guarantee it'll be fun, but it's probably as close as you'll get to your suggestion.
