Well, in that case I guess we'll just have to stop playing until the game works again, because when this is constant the game is completely 100% unplayable. If the devs actually want to find out what is going on they can just ask the community, and any of the players that experience this constantly can volunteer to demonstrate it for them. -

Desync issues are completely out of hand. I'm completely unable to play with my friend, as he gets massive desync spikes (from 2000 to 100000) and is unable to see me on his screen eventually. Problem does not fix itself. We used to have these issues before too, but it would usually resolve by itself after giving it some time. Not any more. Yes, I have ammo boxes, but we've had this issue before without boxes. We're both in Scandinavia with top of the line fiber internet, so I can't imagine it's a bandwidth issue. -

An outdated term from the mod for 'player killer', caused by the application of the bandit skin whenever you killed a player that wasn't a bandit himself. This is why it's so funny whenever some bad poster says 'real bandits don't KOS' or some dumb shit like that because killing on sight is what made you a bandit to begin with originally.

Oh! I believed that because that's what I had read they do. I've never tried using them myself. I'll try to get my saline IVs transfused to me and then go look for tablets.

I ate a ton of food and it says both 'energized' and 'hydrated'. I'm not a moron. This seems like buggy behavior. The 'sick' message and the notifications are gone, though. Charcoal tablets would just make me vomit again.

You can't put the hunting scope on the game's only hunting rifle? Sad times. Hopefully this will be corrected in the near future.

No, even though I feel completely amputated without the good old binoculars, I stick to the M4. I thoroughly enjoy laying down ostentatious suppressing fire and generally being an obnoxious dick with the M4, can't do the same with a Mosin.

In that case disregard my post, this makes sense after all. I was actually wary of running after first getting the 'stuffed' notifier in-game because the logical result is that you throw up. I'm happy this is added to the game, and misread the original post.

Duping isn't a big deal currently because there's no persistent storage. In the mod, dupers would have a field day 'creating' AS50s, M107s, Mk48s and the like, and then stuffing them away in tents along with ammo, GPS, ghillies, NVGs, the lot. Now all duping does is make life slightly easier after a respawn if you're playing with a buddy. It'll need to be fixed before they add persistent storage, though. -
Stupid comparison. In real life, you know when to stop eating, whereas in DayZ the 'stuffed' notifier was supposed to be the ingame mechanism for doing that. Now, (apparently) there's nothing, you just randomly start throwing up after eating and drinking quite a bit. Tell me who that happens to. Are we simulating people with gastrointestinal disorders?

They should just turn Balota into a civilian airfield with a refugee camp (that spawns relatively useful medical supplies), move the Pavlova military base further north, and add the southern spawns back. -
People need air to breathe. Less facetiously.. yeah, the game does need that. Big cities should be death traps. It's part of the vibe of the game and always has been. I remember avoiding Cherno and Elektro completely in the mod, and getting sniped at in Stary out of nowhere. I would miss it if the game was no longer like that.

So us minmaxers will connect our mics to phones or laptops, and we will no longer be able to use direct chat, thus making us even more likely to shoot everyone instead of talking to them. Great idea. I mean, fine, it'll cause us a bit of hassle and it'll make you guys whine more about 'kill on sight', but other than that I don't really care. It's just really unnecessary to do this. The day the dev team decides to be the first developer in history to actively hunt for VOIP programs on players' computers will be a sad day in gaming history. Not that it'll happen, because unlike this forum Bohemia is not a mental institution.

Whining about people being cowards is not going to solve anything. If the game's mechanics allow people to save their character instead of fighting it out, many people will choose to do just that. The people you should direct your posting at are the developers who are responsible for the game mechanics. The game's mechanics should not allow people to just log out of situations they don't like. Trying to convince people to play the game the same way we do is not going to help. Adding timers would solve this issue immediately, and I can't imagine it's hard to do. The hard part is to detect combat and add an even longer combat timer (at least 5 minutes), but a flat 30 second logout timer that applies no matter what should be easy as pie to add, and there's no reason not to do it right away.

Stop whining. Berezino and the NEAF are right nearby. In the mod, Balota was pretty useless to loot, and everyone faced a run inland to the Stary tents, NWAF, and the Berezino tents if they felt like getting away from people. -

I agree, the mod had a kind of progression and territorial logic to it. It's gone completely from the standalone, aided by the removal of Berezino and Stary tents.. The NWAF is the only attraction in the north, and now there's no reason to even go there. In the mod, it was a severely dangerous place, but with good loot. The helicopter crashes did kinda dilute it, but still.. it was possible, and likely, to encounter people from the coast up north to the NWAF. Even between Stary and Berezino. Now no one even talks about Stary any more.. there's no longer the 'powerline corridor' where hapless survivors without navigation skills wander. -
In terms of clothes, maybe more variations of t-shirts and jeans, and the ability to keep wearing t-shirts under other clothes just for the sake of variety. I don't think we should be able to pick all sorts of jackets, sunglasses and hats and stuff, I'd rather those were things we find, still. Character customization outside of items, absolutely, that needs to happen.

Unlike in games like Dota 2 where co-op is forced on you, I'd actually be greatly entertained if I met Brazilians or Russians in DayZ.
