Absolutely. It's a fantastic change, and it will be much better once the final version with a civilian ATC tower and other stuff is ready. Can't wait for the inland part of the map seeing some traffic again. I hope the next town they add up north is in the northwest instead of the northeast, then they can keep building east from there instead of what they're doing now, building from the coast and east. -
This happens now with every rifle. Whether it's intended or not, it's idiotic and should be fixed.

I'm talking a real river, like the Moskva or Elbe, not the tiny streams we have now. A river that could be a massive landmark, dividing the landmass in two, providing us with a waterway and choke points (bridges). The river could have old mills, perhaps canals connecting tributaries, old sluices, it could have a northern city built around it. We could craft canoes and paddles out of wood and go downstream or trudge our way upstream. There could be tributaries and forks, and deep canopies of trees to hide under, or hide canoes under while exploring dry land.

2D or 3D, I don't care, just let me use the scopes to find range again. Fix the FOV at minimum when zoomed, and make sure the reticles are correct at this FOV. I miss that from the mod.

This explains why the shotgun is so damn useless these days. It's doing 1/9th the damage it used to. I threw mine away because it was a waste of slots at this point, I hope this gets fixed so I can go scavenge a badass sawnoff again.

If weapons are given the wrong calibers for the sake of reducing database bloat, I would rather the amount of different weapons, or oddball caliber weapons, was reduced. I don't want a Rust situation where the guns fire 'bullets' and the 'blue armor' is better than the 'green armor' or whatever. Please, for the love of all that is holy, we need authenticity. -
That's not the problem. The problem is the development time that would be required to make more landmass that is the size of this map, and the quality+detail level of Chernarus.

This map is amazing, but at the same time, look at the scale of this map. I don't imagine we will get it in our lifetime if they're going to expand Chernarus to that size. I'd rather they just carved a riverbed in the current map, because that could actually be done in a decent time frame.

This would actually be a good feature if the magazine could actually be picked up again. Maybe eventually let us choose between a fast reload that ditches the mag, and a slow reload that stows the used magazine.

This is the kind of weapon I miss the most in the standalone. My DMR served me well, as did the M14. I hope to see European battle rifles like the FAL or G3 make an appearance as soon as possible. The M14 is a very cool gun but very uncommon outside of America, and no longer in service in the military, so I don't think it would make sense in DayZ.

I do this whenever I have the time or opportunity. Mags and boxes get emptied if I don't need them, and I also take valuable loot like ACOGS and MP stocks that my group doesn't need and place them in the middle of nowhere. If I find an M4 I take it apart and throw the parts around in random places. I enjoy doing this too much. -
'Surprising'? How is this surprising? It's like the place you can most reliably expect to be attacked, aside from stupid places like the ATC tower roof in Balota or something.

Oh no, I have to wait 5 minutes or less! Also, taking a look in the server browser to see if a server is 'regular' or 'hardcore' will save you from playing properly (first person). -
Get out. Servers are all connected to the central hive. If people enforce different rule sets on certain servers it pollutes the hive.

I play both, but my friends play regular so that's where I spend most of my time. Playing this game solo is like masturbating (and not in a good way).

Low pop servers are the most dangerous because the other people are all in the good loot spots, which presumably you also are since you're on a low pop server to begin with. Yeah, gee, let's go loot Elektro on a full pop server. Here's a hint for you, master gamer: it's all already looted, and you're just going to get killed endlessly. Until the loot spawning mechanics are unfucked, this is what the game is like. -

Not technically, no. I want there to be more firearms and more different types of ammunitions and magazines, so that it'll be way harder to actually get a complete kit. Once this happens you'll see people running around with weapons that have rounds chambered, or just one magazine, and very little ammo, just because they can't find enough of the correct types of items for it. As it stands we have three different rifles with many common attachments and 3 types of ammo. As a new spawn you can already start to sense what the game would be like if there were 20 different rifles instead.

It's a game. I treat it like a game. If you can't separate the game and real life you should probably not play it, I don't think that's healthy. -
It is a one shot kill on freshly spawned players with low blood and health that have no clothing. I suppose some people have never tried their gun on well-fed players with lots of kit. :emptycan: Confirming that while a Mosin shot made my screen grey, so I did lose a lot of blood, I managed to finish the fight, bandage up and heal up all by myself in maybe half an hour to an hour.

You can do the slow vault animation with a broken leg. If you crawl as close to the stairs as you get, get upright, and then vault you will glitch past the stairs to the next floor. I figured this out in frustration.. after eating a ton of rotten fruit in order to die and respawn. Of course, the morphine was then literally right in fucking front of me.

Found Zombies Wandering Through Forest on Test Server

This happens when someone logs off with zombie aggro. The aggro'd zombie will just stay wherever the person logged off, which could be in the middle of the woods. The others could have just stopped because he got out of their LOS earlier than the last one, and then swarmed you once they heard you.
