A little bit of competition will do no one any harm and in the long run, if they both continue to develop this mod along side each other, it will be good for the community as a whole I think as a better experience should come out of a potential rivalry. Come on then guys, fight it out and give us the best Taviana mod that you can both deliver, then we'll all be happy survivors.

This is an interesting development. The creators of the original version have left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth with all the unnecessary drama around the release of their version, so I'll be following this with interest.

I wouldn't bother asking the OP anything tbh, it would seem he's had a bit of a drama queen moment and thrown his toys out of the pram over very little at all, and washed his hands of this map now. Because Dayz Commander has made everyone fucking lazy and no one will do anything until it is available on there.

There's two developers visions I trust wholeheartedly, one is obviously Rocket and the other is Venthos over at DayZ Redux, imo if these two combined forces they would make my perfect game.

But don't you see, that is the game, it's a part of the big picture that makes Dayz the game it is. If all you're interested in doing is death matching (I'm assuming here as you haven't specified what 'playing the game' is to you) maybe you're in the wrong place.

Or perhaps people could do the decent thing and ask the creators permission first? If there was a way for Vent to protect his work, don't you think he would have done so? The files need to be in the public domain for users to download and play the mod so your justification for your theft is as hollow as 'your' mod. I guess decency is too much to ask from you. -

Technicalities, it's doesn't matter where the money goes, the fact is money changes hands for your users to play 'your' mod. Venthos does everything you mentioned above and he does it out of his own pocket, for the love of it and for the community he has created. Grow some talent and do your own coding, stealing others work without permission is the lowest of the low and at least now your users know the truth. -

At least your users now know what they are paying good money for, supporting a bunch of no talent, thieving hacks. Perhaps now they'll come play the real thing where you can play for free. -
Just had a couple of hours on this, beautiful map, very eerie sounds makes for quite a scary atmosphere (like it), a shit ton of zombies, food and drink like good dust (good thing) possibly too much military grade loot, lots of barracks and whatnot dotted around so getting equipped isn't too tough on my run through (have an M4A1 CCO and and M107). Overall, very nice, a welcome change of pace as there is nothing for DayZ out there that gives what this map gives. Top job man.

Nope nothing, none of the IPs posted in this thread show up at all for me, oh well I guess I'll try again later. Is it just me, or is the server browser laggy as fuck with this mod loaded? Very unresponsive for me and doesn't happen with any other mods I've tried.

Ah, that explains why I can't find it then. I don't suppose you can post the ip for the other server running this please? Can't see any when I filter for namalsk. That's for this mod btw, been looking forward to this one Sumrak.

This is like pissing into the wind. I've already given you some examples earlier up in this thread which you have obviously ignored so I'm not wasting my time on you any longer. Do your own research if you want to know, which I believe you don't otherwise you would have already.

There's There's plenty of private hive support on DC, for a start, any map that isn't Chernarus is on a private hive, then you have all the non official hive Chernarus hives also so I'm not really sure I know what you are talking about with this post?
