I saw one of those tanks (well, similar) near the coast about 2 weeks ago, near a building. I assumed it was part of the map?

Happened to me last night :(

Personally I love the thrill of stalking other humans, watching them from afar. There have been numerous occasions where I've had a pretty clear opportunity to kill someone, but let them live. What's so empowering about this is that they had literally no idea I could have ended their life. They have no idea they were kindly spared. I don't run into many other players usually, but when I do, I'm not always immediately inclined to kill, despite the above.

Can you even use hatchets normally now, though? Whenever I get one it's a weapon.

Hi there, I'm not 100% certain this is the right forum to post this in; apologies if I'm incorrect. Last night, at I'd estimate between 1-2am (GMT) my friend and I were playing on DE4. We were sniping outside Elektro power station, both incredibly kitted out (my character was on Day 8, his 6) - I had NVG, GPS, etc. and we both have DMRs. So anyway, we see about 6 people die at once, several from one clan. We assumed it was a firefight, but still noted it as strange 6 people died simultaneously. About 2 mins later or so (maybe 5), we both just dropped dead simultaneously, no gunshots or anything. The killfeed was completely full also, with as many names as possible there. I can only assume almost the entire server (if not all) dropped dead randomly. We get back to where we died to hear nothing but flies and no bodies. Is there any logical explanation for this? Yes, I know it's an Alpha, please don't throw that in my face, but I've never seen anything like this happen before, and I feel cheated that I lost all of that gear from what is possibly a hack. -- On a side note, since everyone was, it was absolute carnage with everyone starting at the same time desperately trying to find loot. Such a weird way to play Day Z. Stary was VERY profitable.

Appreciate it mate; sucks to have lost all my stuff, though... server was running like a dream until this.

We found one last night, too; after our server bugged, everyone was dead (http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=16954) and we found it with 5 mags behind a broken car on the road to Stary lol. Couldn't see a way to turn it off.
