yeah zombies should be a deadly threat like the wolves, it would be a little more thrilling instead of a mundane nuisance i think all zombies should have the horde alert feature that commander zombies have as well it would also force more players to shoot zombies in emergencies which would in turn drive more player interactions, right now if zombies get the better of me i just take the uncon, but if it was a life or death fight id be shooting them more and alerting other players nearby where i am, i think it would have a larger butterfly effect making players find eachother more easily if they had to shoot out of zombie hoards more often

maybe they are killing official servers off on purpose to drive up rental income from community servers :0

the focus of the game used to be pvp and the lighter survival mechanics gave context for the pvp, players having to stop and cook or visit a water well in town gave other players context for an encounter now with high teir weapon spawns nerfed and survival sim mechanics feeling like the main focus, looting feels unrewarding and players are too busy hunting and fishing to really be out doing anything else. most of the time when i do get a kill now in a place like zelenogorsk players dont even have one functioning assault weapon to loot, mostly i find backpacks full of food and water, the shorter gameplay loop of finding food and lower carrying capacity seems to make players just carry lots more food and lots less fun loot. the lack of good guns lr time to spend looting has made pvp very unrewarding, when i do kill they have nothing to reward me with, and when they do fight back most are so under geared they pose no challenge. looting somewhere like nwaf right now is so unrewarding its not worth the risk, feels like all the fun toys are locked up in rify and im just not spending that time investment building stashes and finding nbc gear just to carry a gun i could die randomly with and never get to use. offical servers are very boring right now and as somebody who does not like the inconsistency of community servers the game feels more dead than ever before. as a pvp player on official im finding the game totally unrewarding and boring right now. that sucks cause dayz was my favourite game

not enough guns too much survival cooking enough food to run to tisy takes half an hour of fishing and cooking now, just to get a vss with no mag cant find pvp anywhere except the coast anymore sakhal servers empty, no interesting locations or loot (needs a urban centre like vorkuda in namalsk). sakhal bunker loot sucks and the bunker is very small and boring devs are way too stingy with guns, dayz is a pvp game not a pure survival game, official is cooked rn. next update adds one low teir smg and a crappy scope even the forums have completely died out feels like they did everything possible to nerf bandits and nomad type play-style on official (inventory nerfs and weapon removals), need stashes to build any weapon over longer periods of time, because you cant carry enough repair kits or mags for guns you dont have yet spawning system sucks, feels unnatural to have a wave of fresh spawns suddenly appear in one city, loot every item and kill themselves over and over trying to get the spawn location they need, the old system of random spawn points was better great job devs! really happy we got a constantly screaming fox and stick breaking animations! theres not even a stick in the hands! at the same time guns were removed from many maps... so fun! and many other annoying changes to mechanics that worked fine for years, instead of adding anything new. the last update i actually enjoyed was 1.19. everything after has only taken away the fun dayz 2 should be licensed to an entirely different dev studio, this is my last effort to provide feedback. there is a massive lack of good taste at bohemia right now oh .. and the new menu theme sucks!

revolver, mosin , no backpack or plate carrier, no second rifle as much stamina as possible internal mags means less repair kits used my playstyle almost always sees players before they see me, so one shot kill potential is big the higher damage means less ammo needed to be effective and having more stamina has protected me more than any armor ever will. if your taking hits you already lost lol. being able to retreat, rotate and chase players has gotten me alot more kills than staying in one fighting position would have done for me. basically in mmo terms, i favour a glass cannon build. on official of course

the perfect solution for this is having an alt look up how to make one on youtube, once you have an alt you can play on that solo and leave the account next to your wife there and switch to that one when you want to keep playing with her. its the only way to play with friends if you dont have time to run freshys every time

rip sounds like one of those guys that does the big job and makes a faction go round and round, teaching people the game and organizing i always admire those guys when i have them around because i can never seem to fill those shoes myself. sorry for your loss, try to take his place in his honour and pay it forward. his dayz story is now part of your dayz story, dont let that light die out -
the container ship "quest" is exactly the kind of stuff dayz needs imo. it gives geared players a reason to keep circulating around the map and gives freshys a chance to encounter / kill geared players when they move back up north to loot the container spawns hopefully more additions like this come to cherno. this kind of quest style activity reminds me of the quests in Tarkov and gives geared players something to do other than camp militarys for kills. anything that gets loot moving around the map is a good change imo.

people could full sprint way too close before youd hear them, you wouldnt even have time to draw a gun in time. giving players more information about eachother leading up to a gunfight will lead to more interesting fights and duels it sort of turns down the sneak attack meta, maybe more interesting and skill based fights will happen instead of the one sided steamrolling that normally happens

i hated when they added the dry mouth sounds and the teeth chattering seems like its gonna be even worse cause of how often were cold feels super unimmerisve and distracting for some reason, asmr mouth sounds are gross whats next they add wet fart sounds after having food poisoning

everybody knows it would be a great addition but the strange czech devs will never do it because they HATE YOU its more important to them to nerf literally everything and suck the fun away rainbow six seige style

doesnt help that all the dayz youtubers are toxically positive about the game because they want to make a living off its success guys like wobo know they are nothing without the steady influx of noobs watching they're tutorials
