I am Hot Rod, not a hacker, I can promise you that. Here's what actually happen from beginning to end. Had a friend, the one flying that helicopter, get killed at starry by an invisible man. When he respawned he ran all the way back to his body. Mean while I was North East of Starry trying to find his attacker when I see a helicopter, so naturally I go to investigate, and see to people in it. At this point I am armed to the teeth with just about everything you can think of. So i take out the 2 dudes at the chopper and my friend, we will call him "Chris", informs me that he was South of Starry and there was a chopper near his body. I figure this is the same chopper he was near. When I do a map check I find out the chopper I found was not any where near "Chris'" body. So we then deduce that there where 2 choppers in the area. The chopper I had found had, oh I don't know, 30 to 40 cows near it. So from that I deduced that that chopper had be hacked in. But I approach it to get the guys names that I had just killed and pass them on the server admin. Then suddenly the "You are dead!' screen appears. Damn right? Well whatever at this point "Chris" has gotten back to his body and picked up what we had thought to be the "legit" chopper. So he proceeds to pick me up from the coast and rush me back my body. This is where you 2 come into the story. South West of Pusta is where we I met him so there is less of a chance of running into players, clearly something I will rethink in the future. Anyways, "Chris" says to me he is going to log and just give me the chopper. So he lands it and logs, then immediately start hearing rounds from the end of your barrels driving there way to my body and the chopper. Now keep in mind I have a large group of people I play on this server with, and we had found the chopper, so we were just trying to get it the hell out of there. Upon hearing me say "I see 2 guys shooting at me, one with an AS50 or M107 (very distinct sounds) and some sort of 556 caliber weapon, "Chris" decides he is going to come back in and help me. But I died. So as I was relaying to him your positions and he was logging back in the server goes down, due to an incident with an isolated hacker attack else where on the map. (did I mention I know the admin?) So with me dead he logs back in to make sure the helicopter is still there and prepares to defend it. As soon as he was fully logged back in he sees one of you, presumably the one that filmed this video, and begins to unload a barrage of 762 DMR rounds from a M14 and as he hits you he notices that you have combat logged. So as I log back in I go right to the player list that is brought up in game by pressing the "p" key and see that mike has just logged off as he is telling me you combat logged. So if your going to post the whole video, to inculde where you combat logged I would have most likely kept my mouth shut. However since you didn't and you decided to only post a video of the portion where you believe you and your friend were slighted you can understand that I most certainly could not. I am aware of the fact that nothing was proven here and what was said was pure speculation and for that I am not upset. What upsets me is that you neglected to also inform this thread that you had combat logged as "Chris" came back in to defend the chopper.There are 2 things are wrong about your impressions on this situation. One I am not hacker and have been working with the Admin of 1154 extensively to make sure this is a scripter free server, and two in no way, shape, or form where you and your friend an victim of a server shut down do to the admin or a friend of the admin losing a chopper. We play this mod as true as the DayZ mod team and scripters will allow. So please do not assume anything about this situation. If you have a problem in this server I was informed that the info to the private team speak server was given to you so that you may discuss this issue. If you would like a helicopter ride come in and we will oblige you and company. Thank you and good luck surviving.

While I must agree this selection page does look nice, I believe the whole point to the DayZ mod was to not be like other games. In the fact this isn't supposed to be a fast paced zombie shooter that looks amazing. It's a tatically paced shooter that looks decent and is fun for gamers that actually know what they are doing when it comes to playing video games. And yes having an interface would be nice but I think once that happens and the game gets all pretty it starts down a path that it never wanted to be on to begin with. I kinda like the rough around the edges feel of the game the way it is now. It discourages a lot twitch players from play a game like this. Which why I left the Battlefield series and now devote my game time to Arma and all it has to offer to include the DayZ Mod. But nice work man that looks really cool!

Lol Keep it coming look at that big word there "infantile" lol you must be the smartest person in the world. Yeah your right maybe doing it on empty spawn spots MIGHT be helpful. But that's not what we are talking about. If you can honestly tell me that you have not done that at the North West airfield numerous times until you have gotten an item you have wanted, then I will leave this thread alone. But I know you will never be able to answer that truthfully. Because truthfully you have, and whether or not you've done it to help new loot spawn like some Dayz Robin Hood or not. If you have even once done in on purpose in a personal gain for yourself like at the North West airfield or any other area,like a helicopter crash site in search of nods, then yes you have exploited. And dude knock it the fuck off with the "I'm smarter than everyone else" attitude it's very unbecoming of you.

So let's see if I have this right. You believe the act of taking advantage of a known bug is not an exploit because the risk is high? If that is what your saying, it is still taking advantage of a known bug with the end result you gaining gear that is favorable for you. Why not just server hop to find loot you want or again disconnect during a firefight or better yet just start scripting, yeah start scripting. And your right my grammar and paragraphs may not be up to par but unless your 14 and still think that shit matters or your just have no life and make sure your replies are the most correct they can be so that people don't think your restarted then yeah sure I guess it does. Oh and bro its just a game calm down wouldn't want you to have a heart attack cause someone on the internet doesn't agree with you and speaks out about it.

My definition is from Merriam-Webster, the lead book (if know what that is) when it comes to definitions. And sure I could Google the word exploit all day until I found a definition that suited my argument. Oh and sorry if I wasted your time. The fact of the matter is that "loot cycle" was not one of the talking points when the Dayz Dev team sat down to talk about this mod. So go ahead and continue to do whatever it is you believe is right, but I am telling you that is wrong. I don't care how much time you spend in one spot, how many zombies there are in that area, or whatever other excuse you have to tell yourself to make you believe its right, its wrong and its players like you that ruin gaming as a whole. My favorite line is "If the spawning of loot wasn't broken..." If that razor blade wasn't left of the table you wouldn't have cut yourself. If that gun would've been on safe I wouldn't have accidently shot that guy. That line itself incriminates yourself as an exploiter. Just because it is broken doesn't mean you have to poke it. As you said "Get over yourself". If something is broken and you use that to your advantage then it is an exploit.
