    Solution: Find a community server with active admins/report system, problem solved. It could be so easy yet all of you official server players come here to cry over and over again. I will never understand.

    I'm totally with you. Let's hope they realize their issues and do something against them. I for myself know that if I'd be banned without any reason, I wouldn't buy another copy of the game for sure.

    There are so many things that you could be doing wrong, you'll probably be better of and faster to just watch some youtube guides before we find out step by step here on the forums where your issue is.

    It makes sense ofc but I still feel it shouldn't be that way ingame. Maybe visual bullet holes would be a better solution instead it making it despawn with a few shots.

  14. Greetings Survivors, I'm happy to announce that our new server project "Vanilla FUNPARK" is now live after 2 weeks of intense work. 1.18 has brought changes to raiding with explosives. While other vanilla servers only have 50% decreased explosive damage now, we have real double health settings, also in regards to bullet- and meele damage. Intro We're a team of DayZ SA veterans that are enjoying the game since the early pre-alpha days, where fire station ladders were your greatest enemy, and witnessed all its ups and downs. We have an average playtime of over 2000-3000 active hours each and know what we're doing. We were tired of official servers after being killed by cheaters countless times so we started playing on private Vanilla community servers that had some kind of a ticket report system, thinking "that's going to be it mayne". After about 2 years of active playing on those, we still somehow find ourselves in proven cheater encounters over and over again (the kind of sitting in base behind 8 locked gates, in a room with a closed door and no windows and still getting bullet teleport killed encounters). We realized that a lot of server owners don't really seem to care what is actually happening on their servers and that players have those problems so we've decided to take things into our own hands. All we want is providing a good time with fair gameplay for everyone. No cheaters, no abusive admins. Is that too much to ask for? Connection Full server name: Vanilla FUNPARK 1PP no mods (Base Health X2) IP: 194.163.156.101:2702 Mods: no Discord https://discord.gg/AdYYYh9zM2 Server info & key points Vanilla server settings, NO mods, 1PP only, STRONGER bases, no crosshair, persistent server time, darker nights No loot+, no increased vehicle spawns, no increased heli crashes Ingame day lasts 5 hours, dark night about 45 minutes Improved basebuilding server settings: fence-kits and tents can be placed despite colliding with world objects (we like the idea of making every building base-suitable) Good server hardware for smooth & lag-free ingame experience and fast server restarts (about 50-55seconds) Server restarts every 6 hours (12am, 6am, 12pm, 6pm CET) Edited loot files to bring back old items like camo mosin, green M4A1 etc. (see below for more info) Logout time increased from 15 to 20 seconds to increase combatlog punishment Server location: germany Slots: 70 Basebuilding & Raiding information The idea is to make basebuilding more rewarding and raiding more of a challenge. We don't like raided bases anywhere and bases keep people attached to the game, also keeping player numbers constant. HEALTH Frame health points are now DOUBLED Wooden wall health points are now DOUBLED Metal wall health points are now DOUBLED Barbed wire health points are now TRIPLED Example: If the wooden frame needs 100 shots .308 winchester to be destroyed, it will now need 199. However, all full built fences (no matter if wood or metal) will be destroyed with 12 grenades because the frame can't stand more than 12 grenades and explosion damage goes through wooden or metal walls. DAMAGE Meele weapon damage on wooden frame decreased by 20% Meele weapon damage on wooden wall decreased by 20% Meele weapon damage on metal wall decreased by 20% Loot: information & changelog Our goal is to provide some unique playtime experience, without ruining the actual vanilla game, by bringing back old items like a camouflage mosin. We haven't touched the amount of weapon spawns though (no Loot+!), so if the original server loot file spawned 70 wooden mosins, it will now spawn 50 wooden mosins and 20 camo mosins for example. Added camouflage Mosin9130 Added black M70 Tundra Added green & black SKS Added green AK74 Added green & black AK74SU Added wooden camo buttstock & wooden camo handguard for AK AK74 & AKM now have a 20% chance to spawn with wooden camo parts Added green M4A1 M4A1 now has a 20% chance to spawn with RIS handguard and 80% with plastic handguard instead of 100% plastic handguard M4A1 now has a 20% chance to spawn with MP Buttstock and 80% with OE Buttstock instead of 100% OE Buttstock Added black Gorka helmet Gorka helmets (both green and black) now have a 20% chance to spawn with attached visor instead of 0% Decreased spawn rate of head torches by 40% and made it tier 1 spawnable (= on the coast aswell, was tier 2 before) Weapon preview Basebuilding and object placing preview See you around!

    Suggestion: Do something about the public server cheaters

    If you're content with the resources they have and provide, why are you registering and posting here just to complain? If you're denying community servers, that's your decision. Honestly I have done so for many years aswell until that final ragequit hit me, and I'm happy it happened because it was the best decision ever. And when talking about "resources", most of the hosted community servers have better server performance than officials actually have. It's probably compareable to CS:GO matchmaking servers; they are not providing 128 tick because that would cut the available server numbers in half, an independent community server doesn't have that issue. Cheaters have been a problem in DayZ since the pre alpha and that is almost 10 years ago and there are absolutely no signs that this is a problem that will be taken care of soon.

    Why don't you just join a community server with trustworthy admins and a server setup that fits your requirements? Honestly, this has been an issue ever since I can think back, I personally lost all hope that there will ever be any action taken against them. So I hunt and ban them on my own now.

    Barbed wire will be destroyed by either hitting it with meele weapons from outside until it is ruined or if it is being dismantled from behind the wall/gate. It will also be dismantled if you raid the lower wall AND frame (by shooting obviously). I do agree with you though that the current setup doesn't seem to add much extra protection and needs some rebalancing. For that reason, we are running 300% health points on barbed wire on our server to actually make it somewhat viable, check us out:

    I disagree. Current loot pools make NVGs much more unique, I personally don't like the idea of everyone having them. Head torches and other lamps need their right to exist aswell.

    Weird base disappear bug

    Hello everyone, I noticed something very strange going on on my server overnight. It seems like there was a base, hidden in the woods but still pretty big, that just completely disappeared within 6 hours overnight. Going through the server logs, there are no crash files in regards to that, script errors, etc. There are no mods or corrupt files. It is only that one base that seems to have disappeared, I checked many others including 4 of mine, they are fine. The base owners cars are still there. What is unexplainable to me is that also all the wooden crates, tents, barrels etc. disappeared. But again, the server has no persistance issues as other big and older bases still exist. There was no raiding activity and no dismantling aswell. Any idea what could cause something like this? I mean, yeah... it's DayZ. But I haven't experienced something like that within the last 3 years atleast. I'm still waiting for the owner to contact me right now, I'd see it in the logs though if he wiped it himself.

    Lol. I wasn't aware of the "pokeballs" you were talking about, I just saw them in a video. I'll have to agree with you, I personally don't mind about the grenade launcher gas nades, they're legit and existing and I've shot them in realife already, but these gas balls indeed don't make any sense to me aswell. I'll consider removing them from the loot pool on my non-mod vanilla server.
