I usually quickly log off when I hear a bullet whiz past my head.

[Suggestion] easier way to find some resources
Food replied to DaFatCookie's topic in General Discussion
Currently it takes 10 minutes TOPS to get fully kitted out and maybe another 10 to get all the food you will ever need. Not sure if we're playing the same game... -
You shot fresh spawns with a sniper rifle. No book in hotbar = No beans for you. Real snipers always carry a book.

Cracking down on server time abuse [24/7 night and day]
Food replied to ProGamerGov's topic in General Discussion
Well before the 24/7 day servers I never even saw daylight in the game. It was a good 3-4 days before I saw light. For now, since it's alpha, just leave the day time servers. -
Reading. Me and my group have a nice book club going. We all meet at the pond near prud set down a gas lamp on a night server and read some classic literature. I love the disappointed reactions I get from my killers when all they find is books.

You should select a home server on starting a character. This server you will automatically connect to, to switch servers you need to change homeservers which should be a 10 minute or so process. This prevents server hopping, ghosting, and creates a reason to stay tied to servers. The only issue would be if your home server is full :/ I'm sure there could be a good solution for that. But I think that should be added in eventually to solve a lot of issues.

I would just use Virtual audio cable set as my default device and then on teamspeak us my actual mic. So I'd still be super sneaky

Better hope you have some disinfectant spray to drink

My best guess would be Chernarus.

Me and my group have become a walking library and are in an unending search for a pristine copy of each book. We have a special pond where read our books with the light of a gas lamp. It's real snazzy, but we could use some more books to read. We only want pristine quality though, we can accept nothing less than perfection for our reading sessions. Fellow book collectors are welcome to join our book club. If your mountain backpack isn't full of pristine quality books, you're just a filthy casual.

New Spawn - What Would Your Route Be?
Food replied to DemonGroover's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Step 1. Find a Hatchet Then run in the open until you hear sniper fire. Locate its source. Now run behind a building and make a stealthy get-away. The typical DayZ sniper isn't intelligent enough to change locations. Now Flank them hatchet to the back of the skull. Boom, you're geared up -
I strongly believe in the PC Master-race, and I think DayZ on Console is a bad idea. Let's be honest, the console community sucks (I know, but I used to play console and then I got a PC and my world was changed as I knew it). They couldn't handle a game like DayZ, the all want Cheats and 10th prestige 1337 hax and gold guns. <--- not what DayZ is about. My little Cousin watches all the people on youtube use their scripts and whatnot in Dayz and that's what he thinks the game is. Nothing but PVP and 50 cal. Rifles. You die and get your stuff back, NOT what DayZ is all about. Not the mention how watered down the game would be. (AND WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANTS MORE 10 YEAR OLD KIDS SCREAMING IN THE MIC?!?!?! which is what the console consists of and will bring to the DayZ community.)

That's ok, I often have dreams my friends are hoarding cars in forests and I need to find them so I can steal them. I usually find them right on the borders. Strange dreams to say the least. Sometimes I'm attacked by zombies of people I know. It's ok though, I usually dislike those people so disposing of them is the fun part :P

Two characters, same Computer, Same time.
Food replied to RyumiLB's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
lol, just die and suck it up. Losing your stuff is actually what makes this game great -
The one near Polana is the best. I always go there, but we have always bring a sniper to watch from the hills as well, so make sure to stay hidden and be ready to drive away quickly
