  1. Free gear for survivors willing to come near Cherno on FI1 (1.7.2.5 server). The truck is parked northeast of Cherno on the main road. Contents include 5 GPS, 2 NVGs, a truckload of military weapons and ammo, morphine etc. Unfortunately no backpacks. Violent behaviour will be punished and bandits will be shot. Cheers :)
  2. The bandit skin should not be something cool because then it actually rewards people for being a bandit (e.g. the earlier bandit skin, which was kinda badass).

    It was already stated the standalone DayZ will be BASED ON the ArmA 3 engine, meaning rocket can develop it pretty much any way he wants to. So stop making stupid accusations of a game and engine we haven't seen the slightest of sights yet -.-

    What does this mean concerning ArmA 3 and the talk that's been going on of DayZmod being imported into Arma 3? Seems like a huge hassle to have DayZmods for Arma 2 and 3 and then the standalone in development. Tried to search the thread but didn't find anything concerning this.

    Actually in ArmA there IS real difference between the guns. The bullet trajectories, iron sights, just how the weapon FEELS to fire. I often choose "poorer" choices of guns when it comes to terms of firepower because I feel more comfortable using them. So variety would definitely be welcome (reduced overall spawns though imo).

    INCREASED!? Are you mad? Go to any supermarket and you find somewhere between 5-10 cans of food lying around. Normal housing usually has piles of 2-4 cans. Also obtaining a hunting knife, matches and a hatchet for hunting is really easy which gives you unlimited food supplies. If you are new to the game you will eventually get the hang of it and trust me, if they make it any easier than it already is you are going to be bored when you figure out how the game works.

    I think that's really pushing it...in the end it's about surviving amidst zombies and against other human players. Adding multiple varieties of painkillers seems like a liiiiittle bit too much attention to detail, don't you think? ;)

    Uh, no you don't. The weakness will be over in about a day but that's mainly because your body produces more plasma but it still means your blood is quite diluted due to the reduced erythrocyte count. You are only allowed to donate blood so many times a year (about a month apart? I don't remember the exact time) because it takes a long time to fully regenerate your blood cell count.

    One of the reasons rocket did this change was to see if it makes death more meaningful. I think we might see a slight change in the reckless behaviour of people on the coast. Now if you die in Cherno because you were shooting everything that moves you might spawn a long way out and recovering your corpse/getting back to the easy loot spots might not be as easy. Yes it is going to suck if you are separated from your group but that just falls into the same category: you have to be even more careful in the group because if you die, you might spawn at Kamenka.
  18. Admins cannot change stuff like this. Seems like a hacker did this to you. EDIT: also, that skins looks fucking BADASS. Hope we will have a chance to find something like this in future updates.

    Any intentions of adding a "suicide" option? I get why the respawn-feature was removed (and rightly so) but getting stuck in the wilderness with broken bones can be quite problematic. Maybe make it so you can only suicide if you have a knife/gun. This way people wouldn't be able to suicide right when they spawn to get to the location they want to.

    Oh my god, WHO CARES. It's from Arma 2 and close enough, you don't think the devs are busy enough with developing the parts of the game which are actually broken/adding in new features? Not modifying the functioning scopes of weapons to please a few gun-nuts.

  24. I don't see a reason why this (or something similar) couldn't be implemented in the mod. ACE is a mod for Arma 2 that does something similar in that it shows the player's inventory and backpack at the same time, making item movement MUCH easier. That is a mod that did it, why couldn't DayZ do it? (if the mod responsible for this is not ACE then pardon me, I assume it is ACE from having watched CHKilroy's videos :D)
  25. The "blood value" in this game doesn't represent actual blood in your body...how would you magically lose blood by getting hit by a zombie if you don't even get a bleeding wound? The idea could work for very non-lethal damage, and I mean going at max to -1000 blood. Then again I'm not really in favor of the idea, if it isn't executed properly it might just mean that people in groups are extremely hard to kill permanently.
