Hi, I am remodeling my base. I chopped a LOT of wood. I am in the process of tearing down a 2 story watchtower and I can't remove the top roof. I have a wood cutter's axe and a hatchet. Both are in good order, neither work. I tried youtube. I saw a guy tear one down. I think he was playing from PC. He went to the post opposite the stairs and got the prompt. I can't get the prompt. I need to get this done before 50 wood logs and lumber start disappearing. The watchtower is in the way of my new plans. I tore one down before at another base, I don't remember having any issues at all. Any ideas?

Loading is taking longer than before. I don't see what my character actually looks like anymore while it's loading. This made me think I was dead when I first logged into the new update. The game still refuses to load, after you picked a server, sometimes. I have to restart the game to bypass this problem. I get what sounds like IRQ conflicts while playing every once in a while which require me to restart my xbox. It will be running normally then all the sudden the screen freezes and there is a constant grinding noise out of the speakers. I am still able to pass through walls, doors, and floors, sometimes. etc. etc. For its age it is a very unstable, poorly coded, game.

1. How are you going to 'scare' real players with face paint? are you saying you believe it would or suggesting there should be a penalizing game mechanic? I'm against the game mechanic. 2. A crossbow would be cool. A plain bow would be cool. A sling stone, Atlatl, SCUBA style sling spear, frog gigger (use regular spear for fishing), would be cool. Hunting calls, snairs, and bait would be cool. 3. No, Civilization is gone. It would be nice if we had a mechanic that allowed us to trade/sell things to other players but I think it is too much to ask. They need to get what they have created working first. 4. A military style poncho would be nice. They are light weight, inexpensive, and commonly used throughout the world. This would take a lot of the challenge they are trying to create out of the game though as that and a pair of waterproof pants would make you immune to rain. Why do you think they start you in cutoff pants and a t-shirt? If the climate is that cold do you think a sane person would be wearing cutoff pants and t-shirt? You would be wearing something weather appropriate. I often wonder what the back-story to this game is supposed to be. Why am I dressed for a sunny beach? How much time has passed since the infection? The houses are mostly in good shape, the property surrounding the homes look appear like it's been cared for less than a month ago. The cars look like its been more than a year since the outbreak. Live 'zombies' wondering around suggests to me it just happened. Who knows?

it's gone now. I had to be on ground level, looking at the floor, to destroy the roof for the second level. makes perfect sense.

I would like to relocate my flag pole. What is the process for breaking it down? Thanks.

yeah, you should be able to return the plot to it's original state with a shovel.

Sounds like you are not looking in the right places. There is plenty of food on the map. The problem for a new spawn, food wise, is getting to the areas with food and having the appropriate equipment to use/harvest the food. Do not loot industrial areas for any length of time when you are a fresh spawn, they are food deserts. Don't try to head away from the coast without decent clothes and some supplies on you. If that is the only area near you try killing the zombies for their loot. Hopefully they have some food. There are food trees in the game but I rarely use them. As a fresh spawn I make my way to a city, kill zombies, and loot for food. Fishing is great if you have the gear. It requires time and gear though so I don't think it is practical for a brand new spawn. I just filled 2 dry bags and a mountain pack with dried fish filets at my base. If you are in a city with kiosks check them for food. If you are in a city, like Cherno, check the little police dept/jails for food. (not sure what you call those buildings) Check the churches for food.

all true, and much more. I tried to eat worms too lol. In the case of chickens I love that you can not pick up a chicken carcass and carry it with you until you can find an instrument suitable for butchering the animal. You can carry a whole fish, just not a chicken. How about being in a pumpkin patch and starving to death because you don't have a knife? You can't just bust the pumpkin on the ground, or kick it in with your boot. about fishing.. you can get a lot of quality food by fishing. Its easy to come up with the components you need. You can make a make-shift fishing pole. I have not had to do that though as I find a lot of fishing rods at a shipyard near my base. You can find hooks there too. I have made hooks out of bone. They work the same, just not as durable. I love that there is no reload button for xbox.

I'm certain this has happened to 100s before me. Why arent they helping in the forums? Why don't they share known issues? Because it might hurt sales? "stable" update? Rotfl, that's a good one. I had to restart numerous times today because the menu button stopped working. I had to restart several times because i got stuck in walls while going up and down the watchtower stairs. I'm having to open canned foods twice, see a random toon when i log in, customize character work? 6years?

Advertising/selling this game as a finished product should be considered CRIMINAL FRAUD. After rebuilding the tower just so I could tear it down, after a hard reboot of my xbox, after looting for different tools, restarting the game, after hours with my thumb up my ass on the roof waiting for someone to snipe me, after starting another watchtower just to protect raw resources, I got it. and do you know what it was? The second story roof had to be uninstalled at ground level, looking at the ground, nearly in the middle of the watchtower's foot print. RIDICULOUS. Thanks BI. If you're offering, I'll take that refund.
