Hi everyone, Update 1.22 has been released this week, and as always, we're eager to hear your feedback and suggestions. With that in mind, we have another quick "quiz" for you. Please always pick just one thing, the most important to you. 1) What did you like the most about this update? 2) What did you like the least about this update? 3) Which newly added bag you like the most? Please keep it tidy. I will hide off-topic posts. For feedback or anything else 1.22 related, please use this thread or, even better, our Feedback Tracker. Thank you ♥️

Hi, I will add it to our community suggestion list. 🙂

We tried to reproduce it but everything is working as intended, no cuts, no gas poisoning... Could you send us your mission files so we can check the setup? Or feel free to create a ticket and send me the number.
-
Audio - I would need more info. Could you please create a ticket and mention platform/server and when is it usually happening? (under which condition) Getting stuck - can you relate to this one? Mags - we are working on issue with weapon synchronisation, which is scheduled for a fix but I am not sure If it"s the same issue you are having. Could you please create a ticket and provide us the video or repro steps? (or post it here) Exiting game - Could you please create a ticket for this with more info/video? Not sure If I understand it right. Player desync - Could you please also create a ticket for this one? If I am not mistaken, the team could not reproduce it after 1.22 Or if there are old issues on FT that were already closed and you feel like the exactly same issue is now back, please send me the ticket numbers and I will ask the team to double-check. Thanks a lot

Hi, would you please have a video?

Going through a lot of channels, what I've learned is that you simply can't make everyone happy. I believe that in many cases, people would just argue about what is better or worse based on personal preferences, often without considering the wider context. I'm not entirely sure how "drastically" things have changed, as we both know that certain things mentioned here are simply not true (e.g., a 10-minute sprint, zero recoil, etc.), but I think I understand what you were trying to say. What I am thinking is: If the things that were changed for worse (in your opinion or few other players here) were not changed, do you think DayZ would become as big as it did in the past few months? Because most of the mentioned changes were done before the player base got bigger. Obviously we don't know, this is just a guess. But if it would be the reason, there is a possibility that If the game would not be so successful now, could there be further development maintained? Had those changes have impact on that? I don't want to say that the game has to adapt to be successful - like listening only to certain feedback, not the core players etc. I actually know it's not the case because this team values all the players and specially those that are with the game for all those years. But there is so much to the development. This team is truly listening to the feedback and evaluating all decisions. Some may not agree with the direction but I am not sure If there was a clear direction at the beginning, or more of a vision that could not be fully realised. I mean, the game was a mod. I believe that all of you here are playing this game probably for years and that already means something. It actually means A LOT. It for sure means a lot to us, but maybe it's also showing that the game is not "that bad" after all. So my question is, If certain changes that some of you don't like hadn't happened, would the game still be where it is now? Were those changes really that bad that you would not enjoy the gameplay anymore? Does something small, like a pink hip pack, actually make the game worse? There is plenty of discussion happening within the team. But anyone who's worked in a gaming company knows it's not about personal opinions. There are many things to consider before making changes. I've worked at four gaming companies, and it's the same everywhere. Do we have the time for it, do we have the people for it, is it technically possible at this moment, will it really be better for the game, how is it affecting other aspects of the game and so on. Last but not least. I am not in position to say who is right or wrong, I am also very causal player that is hardly complaining about game changes (in all games I play), because I am trying to understand the development team and the reasons behind their steps. I mean, which studio or gaming company would like to go against their players? What would be the benefit from that? 😉 But please, keep providing the feedback; we will always appreciate it, even if you feel like no one is listening or no one cares. Trust me, we care, and your feedback will always be valuable to us. There just might not be the right place and time to make such changes. But it will always remain being considered.

I just wonder what makes you think you are the one that truly understands the game, the engine, the schedules and all the other stuff that goes with development since you obviously think the team members don't... Because If you really have all that knowledge to judge their work, it would be great If you could apply for some of the top positions in BI.
-
It's not just Adam, it's a whole team of dedicated devs 😉 And player's feedback... Perhaps check for the open positions - you would be able to see and understand how the team works for yourself - If you really think you could do better and have the level of knowledge needed for the job, you could honestly be benefit to the team

Hi Tex, the mentioned updates were minor updates. You might know that the biggest update of this year is yet to come. Minor updates are usually dedicated to fixes and changes, and any content is more like a small addition. This has been communicated quite often, and I honestly think that people who wanted to know have already found the info. Saying 'for the whole Community' might be a bit misleading. 😉 The development is a very dynamic environment, so the best we can do is the DayZ in 20XX article, which is a small preview of what you guys may expect in the upcoming year. We don't go into too much detail, as things might change, and we don't want to disappoint anyone. I certainly hope you will like the next update and the others yet to come. I hope this explains.

To be honest, with the number of suggestions we receive, it's becoming quite challenging to track who suggested what first. Often, multiple people suggest the same ideas. I also believe you might be a bit unfair here. Take Adam, for instance; he's our creative lead and the genius behind Namalsk. What greater passion could you ask for? This project is his personal labor of love, something he works on during his free time. And it's not just him. But you need to keep in mind that many team members value their privacy. You might see them on Reddit or Discord, but you might not know they're part of the development team. Not everyone wants to be recognized as "the dev" because they want to separate their personal opinions from the company's stance and avoid any confusion.
-
The fact that you don't see them doesn't mean they are not reading it 😉. Just like the fact that if they don't "brag about it," it doesn't mean it's not happening. Personally, I go through many communication channels every day, and the only place you see me replying is here. There are a few other channels where I reply as DayZ (together with Lynn and Scotty; by the way, Baty hasn't worked for BI for a few years already). However, I do read them. Most of the feedback I gather is already known to the developers, as they do the same, even in their own free time, because they care. Please note that the Feedback Tracker is also for suggestions. You can find many reported there.

Hello Survivors, Thank you all for participating in our Summer contest. We received many great submissions, from those taking the DayZ merch on adventures to those giving just the ultimate DayZ vibe. Nevertheless, the team has voted, and the winners are: ElectroTetra Jakub Dopiłka @Amperloom Congratulations! We will reach out to you soon!

Hi, the thing is, the devs rely heavily on the Feedback Tracker to prioritise tasks. If a particular ticket hasn't received a response, it's quite likely that the same issue has already been addressed under a different ticket number. It seems that people sometimes create new tickets without checking if the problem already exists. So, if you have any problems or suggestions, using the Feedback Tracker ensures that our developers are fully informed and engaged. Regarding your mention of Dean and Matt, was that from around a decade ago? Nowadays, social media and other communication channels like Discord and Reddit have largely taken over (and trust me, the devs are present there - with their personal accounts) Sid did a great job explaining the main purpose of the forum. Personally, I have a soft spot for forums — I grew up during that era. 😊 We still go through the forum, but it's nearly impossible to cover every single topic. Many questions could easily be answered through a quick Google search or by other players, so we need to focus on the topics that require our direct attention and solutions. And we heavily communicate to use Feedback Tracker for anything that needs our immediate attention. And If you feel like your issue is not being communicated well, please, feel free to DM me and I will have a look into that ticket and do my best to get is attention. @Riddick_2K regarding your ticket, you can probably imagine it's not the highest priority but I am stepping on their toes 🤺❤️ At least the mushrooms should be solved now. 😉 (I think that was also you, If I am not mistaken). Ah and the launcher - I left you message here.

Hi, you need to update your files. If you mean the community mod, there is a possibility the editor was not updated the moment you tried. If you are having issues with it, please, contact the creator. I hope I am getting your question right as there already is an option for community owners The server config parameter is: disableMultiAccountMitigation = true; Turning off the additional timers is setting this parameter to true Hi, what server are you on? Where was your camp and what is your gamer tag? You can also create a ticket here.

Thank you arlingtine. I'm sorry, but I currently don't have any information available. There's a lot of exciting stuff being considered for the future, including things that people frequently ask me about. Unfortunately, I can't provide an answer until it's officially announced. This is because development plans can change quite a bit, even up to the experimental release date, and we want to avoid getting anyone's hopes up too soon. I want to reassure you that the development team is really committed to bringing back features the community loves or introducing new ideas that the community has suggested. Having worked with a few gaming companies before, I can genuinely say that the level of dedication this team has is truly extraordinary. So, please trust me when I say that the team is listening to you, they care about your feedback, and they're working their hardest to make happen as much as possible.
