Hi, It was not cancelled, but unfortunately, the streams were limited to updates only due to a manpower issue, and it was put on hold. The idea is still being tracked, and we hope to get back to it. I apologize for not informing you about this sooner. I am aware that the initial "it might take slightly longer" status was changed to "on hold" without prior notice.

It's funny because I often read quite the opposite - not enough guns, too many diseases, too much danger... Perhaps the future will bring at least some of the stuff you mentioned 😉 Btw, I can't recall a game where you would actually have to choose the proper size of clothes 🙂 -
There is not really a break as per se. Update 1.25 will be released in less than 2 weeks, and 1.26 Experimental will follow as usual. But yes, currently too early for more details. If you are asking if there will be a Stable Update beside the Expansion, then yes, there will be a regular game update.

Hey Kevo, that sounds pretty cool, but it also feels more like a treasure hunt game. We do have lots of Easter eggs scattered throughout the maps, but they're only enjoyable when you stumble upon them yourself. I agree they're fun; I've always appreciated the teasers the team puts out with hidden notes and content. We'll definitely keep that going! ❤️ -
1) Yeah, that's not about that. Briefly put, coordination or budget isn't the problem; the challenge lies in assets, coding, time and manpower, which are the hardest parts. DayZ is certainly not the unwanted child - quite the opposite. I won't delve into details here because frankly, you're all mistaken. 2) Yes, based on the limited information provided... Our team is being very honest, and there have been numerous minor updates. This is a major project, and we're not making any promises until the product is finalized. It's as simple as that. 3) Happy you enjoyed it at least the past 2 years. 🙂 Once again, players aren't forced into anything. They can choose to support us by purchasing another product or not. And trust me, it's not just console players. But again, it's not as straightforward as you think. As a side note, I play a few games where I make monthly or occasional purchases. It's not that I really need them or couldn't live without them, but because I enjoy playing the games and feel that the company and their employees deserve recognition for that. Perhaps this is why I personally struggle to understand a certain mindset, but that's just me. Let's leave it at this: wait until it's released. If you don't like it and don't want to play it, no one will force you to buy it. And if you do like it - well, GREAT, that is what we are aiming for. However, we'll always do our utmost to keep our players happy (or at least most of them).

I am sorry to react to your message like that, but from what you wrote, I assume you don't know much about game development... Also, since you assume that modding is pretty much the same. I really wish everyone thinking how things are easy and how nothing is being done or could be done better/faster/bigger would come to work for BI, so they would actually get to know what a long process everything is. Not even mentioning how hard it is to hire experienced people. Last but not least, there was an expansion announcement, but with nearly no further info yet. A lot of people know what exactly it will look like or be. It is still in development. Due to that, obviously can't give too many answers, and as always, please, wait for the official announcements. Suggestions are welcome, but rather without assumptions. And yes, Adam aka Sumrak is Czech and he is working for BI for nearly 13 years... Ah, and one more thing. It's really not nice to say we're 'milking' anyone by bringing new official map. As you are aware, this game keeps getting updates, and there are no in-game purchases or monthly fees—just a one-time purchase for countless hours of fun. And I believe many people got their money worth. You mentioned you defended DayZ for few years and the game was/is fun. Are you saying your money was not worth it for all those years playing?

Guys, let's not start politics here. Society is very complicated, and there is no perfection in it because we are all humans. There were plenty of philosophers mentioning this (I personally read a few books related to this topic), and that is a totally different discussion. It's not in our power to follow every rule and its enforcement on every community server. It's up to the admins/server owners, and it is also in their interest to do this as responsibly as possible, as they want to attract players to their servers as well. There is no need to play on a certain server if you are not happy there or don't agree with their rules or decisions. That is the benefit of community servers; you simply pick the one that suits you the most. And of course, those servers need to follow the EULA and Terms and Conditions set by BI. If they don't, they can be reported to us, and we will look into the case.

1) Infected - this is not planned but I will note it down in suggestions. 2) Night sky - my assumption is: While real-life night skies are pitch black, in games, it's tricky to replicate that without making it too dark to see anything. We tweak things to keep it playable and give enough contrast for navigation. Also, our eyes adjust differently in-game. Plus haing different screens etc. 3) Can you please elaborate here? Server pop count in launcher grossly inaccurate

This could be caused by many reasons. It could be also some Steam delay, or the server could be also perhaps altering numbers. -

That is just a great news for Vigor, not related to DayZ standalone at all. No worries, this is not affecting DayZ in any way. ❤️ You have the ability to turn the music off. Just go to your settings. We care, but we don't have the option to distribute the soundtrack to console players. Out of curiosity, how long have you owned Livonia DLC? Do you feel like the time on the map was not worth it? Or is the missing soundtrack the issue? Sorry, just trying to understand a bit better.

A lot of lag on official servers since a few weeks

This topic was addressed and it's being looked into. Bugs, lags or any issues is always the best to report on Feedback Tracker. (You can also see If it was already reported and what is the state of it). For an example here. -
Sorry, I don't really see anything unusual in the Steam chart. The numbers are looking great, even better on average than last year when comparing the same months. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there are no cheaters in the game, even though BattlEye is working strongly against them. But we've checked multiple "obvious" cases in the past, and most of them turned out to be legitimate kills. People often tend to label anything they can't explain themselves as a cheating issue. "I was killed, don't know how, cheater killed me," but as I already mentioned above, those are often legit kills.
