  1. Dear Survivors, We had a successful launch with update 1.17 and wiped our servers in the spirit of spring cleaning. We were also blown away by the news that DayZ broke the all-time concurrent player record on Steam once again.   6. March was a wonderful month of ‘madness’ for us and the community. We welcomed a brand new season, and update 1.17 (already in its experimental phase), is on the horizon. The community produced loads of content in March, including community-made maps, community-led events (see the previous Spotlight for this), game mechanics, and even crisp new verses of a rap anthem. We managed to reach another all-time high and would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all survivors across all platforms!   16. Dear Survivors, We are aware of the recent reports regarding attacks on the community servers and have been working hard to investigate and fix them as soon as possible. As a community driven developer, we always take players’ feedback seriously as it helps shape our games immensely. We are continuously improving the game's security with each update, with the added support of releasing hotfixes when needed. We are very sorry that, despite constant updates and security patches, some players’ experiences have been negatively affected by cheaters and hackers. Preventing those that spoil the fun of DayZ is, and always will be, an integral part of our long-term development plan. As a result of these efforts, we managed to block more than 30,000 cheaters over the past year with the help of our partners at BattlEye.   20. Dear Survivors 2021 was an exhilarating ride and wrapped up in December with a little quiet, a bit of peace, and a whole lot of blessings.
