Searching with Battlemetrics I saw many vanilla servers where, in the title, it is specified that it is a "PvE" server. How do they ensure that players won't shoot each other without any mods? Is there some way in the server configuration files to inhibit player-to-player damage that I've never seen or some "strange script" that does this job? Or is it just a "scam attracting customers"? Any opinion/suggestion is welcome. Thank you

I can agree with this, but why reduce the slots of all clothes (creating other types of problems) and not simply put a "block" of certain objects in certain clothes? Wouldn't it have been fairer, more rational and less impactful on gameplay? Keep in mind that this is a game. It has very little "realism" ... unfortunately ... every change you make, also affects many other aspects of the game, if you make changes that are too "generic", you affect the whole game, not just certain aspects. At this point they should also review the space used by many objects that, at the moment, are out of scale, such as weapon kits (3x2 > 2x1), leather kits (3x2 > 2x1), Acogx6, shoes and boots (they are huge), clothes with nothing inside (they are huge), backpacks with nothing inside (they are huge), etc ... This is also part of the "realism", and you can't reduce ALL the space without also reducing the size of the objects to be contained ... IT UNBALANCES EVERYTHING. I agree about the 20 liter gas can in the pants and I agree that the backpack should be removed and opened to get something... but also deposited WHOLE without being emptied (like in real life), and deposited FULL in the adjacent or back seats or in the trunk of the vehicles (like in real life)... there are many aspects of the game that you have to keep in mind when changing something, otherwise you do NOT "fix the game", but "mess it up even more". This is what these programmers (and many players) do not seem to understand... or do not care...

I understand that Google translations are not very "precise" (I know it well and for a long time, unfortunately), but I think that... shades of insults aside... the speech is quite clear, even if I continue to read people who cannot understand... or do not want to understand: I am not arguing to run for some party... or hoping to make these programmers take some kind of action, it will never happen on these topics... and I see that those who follow this forum "have a hard head" (HARD, nothing else... ok?). What is difficult to understand that: *) Private recordings for personal use are NOT a problem. *) Private recordings, put on YT for "personal" use (FREE), bother me a little, but I can put up with it. *) Recordings made specifically to earn money must NOT be made using my person, my "doll" or anything I can do in the game WITHOUT my explicit permission! Using players, unaware and/or without asking their permission to make a video "to sell" (in any form) to make money, is EXPLOITATIVE. And this, as I see it, is INFAMOUS. What is still unclear about this. I put it translated by Google and in the original language. =========================================== I don't understand why you can't understand that using people (like players in "Streamers" videos) to make money from them (they use videos not for personal "enjoyment" and for some friends, but to expand the channel and make money from them... it becomes a kind of "work of exploitation of others" and no longer "enjoyment") is a dirty and badly done thing. Are you all children brainwashed by "social media" and unaware of the society that surrounds you? Are you okay with someone exploiting you to make money, against your will, without even asking permission, (mainly, in these cases, because they don't want to find a "serious job"...) while you work your ass off every day to bring home the bacon?!? Are you still all living off your parents? Have you ever tried to become independent by working seriously?!? 🙄 -
The "problem" is that things are rarely either "black" or "white"... and in a game there is always a need for balance, otherwise it can become really bad. You can't randomly mix "realism" and "arcadism", you always have to consider the balance. Too much realism in just one aspect, leaving everything else "too arcade" makes a game really bad. This, unfortunately, is what is happening to DayZ... a "random" mix of "pseudo realism" and pure arcade... with many defects, from the smallest and "harmless" to the largest and most annoying (and some never fixed). However, in my opinion the real problems to fix first are many others... (vehicles, scammers, glitches and bugs, everything that concerns the "real" topic of the game: survival [better bases, skin constructions, greater permissiveness to fences and tents, etc...]). And while I'm at it, lowering the slots on clothes (in the name of realism), without "compensating" with an equal increase in slots on vests and backpacks, was a stupid and absurd imbalance... which perfectly outlines what the programmers care about (and how much they actually play) about this game... I really don't understand what's really going on in the heads of those who manage (and modify) this game, it almost seems like they're trying to ruin it on purpose, patch after patch. And don't tell me that these programmers play it even 10 minutes a day... when I still know so many Zs with glitched hats inside their heads! It's NOT possible that they don't see it, it just means that: either they never play it (they write and distribute it haphazardly) or they don't care about the quality of the game. Contest me on this, if you have valid arguments... 🙁

First, this you made this up, and anyone can realize it by rereading what I wrote. And what is this? A threat? Is this your way of arguing? 🙄 Well... This shows that, basically, I was right... 🤨 -
It seems like you're beating around the bush but you don't want to say it openly... If I understand correctly: with the next patch (whatever it is and whenever it is distributed) there will be a total deletion of the characters too... right?

But are you serious or joking? ? Taxes, if that's what you meant (and I don't know what else it could be) are another matter: it's the "fair" amount that every civilized person must pay to be able to benefit from public services. But where do you live? In the jungle alone?!? 😮 -

What is it? The "law of the strongest"?!? There are many of them and so they are right.. or do we let them continue? Nice mentality of.... 🚾 I won't write to you what I really think of what you wrote because I don't want to risk a ban, but it is precisely this type of mentality that makes society "shit" like the one around us... and I know what I'm talking about, I'm Italian too!!! 🤢 -
Anyway, thanks for the reply... and no problem with the "delay"... (5 hours... what delay?). That post is talking about 1.25, the one already present... NOT 1.26, which is "in progress". Did you really think you were going to do a cancellation after having already released a patch (1.25) just for an update of the same?!? 😲 Anyway, if I understood correctly, there will be no update and no cancellation, right? You must excuse me but I have to translate with Google. And for 1.26? Are there any cancellations planned? Reply when you can, no problem... it's "just" a video game, luckily... not life. 😉

You don't understand or "don't WANT to understand"... It's NOT just about "anonymity", at least as far as I'm concerned it's NOT a question of "anonymity", on the contrary: I WOULD ALWAYS like to know all the names of the players present in the server BEFORE entering, like ALL other games (this is also terribly annoying and should be required by law! ). As for the "streamers" it's the fact that they earn money from other people's games!!! Can you understand this?!? They MAKE MONEY BY EXPLOITING OTHER PEOPLE'S GAMES! This is INFAMOUS ! And this should be banned! For ALL games!!!! Whether they go to work on construction sites or in crops, there is such a need for manpower. (This last one is a bit of a "sour" joke, but with your stupid objections you got it out of me). The concept is clear now: I DO NOT want ANYONE to be able to make money using me and my game!!!!! P.S. And as for knowing the players before entering a server, it is mainly (but not only) a question of cheaters. In other video games, after a while (and sometimes even immediately) you know the names of those who use cheats (or other...) and when I see them in the server I don't even enter and look for another. I know that DayZ is a "special" game, but all this "code of silence" (because it is essentially a form of "code of silence" to hide the names of the players in a public server, as if they were "mafiosi" or secret government agents...) in DayZ (as well as in any other video game, in case it was) is terribly annoying and "harmful", as I see it. -
Maybe it's not as simple (or resolutive) as it seems in words... anyway, great question. A very useful thing would be if @merropa93 asked this question to the developers and reported the answer in this forum. Also because it seems to me a question already asked but, if I remember correctly, still without an answer.

I don't understand if in the "Official" servers (yours, NOT the community's) there will be some kind of deletion or not. Thanks for any valid information on this. 🙂

It is not public like a city street can be. And even on a city street, if someone wants to film a commercial, he asks for permits, blocks the street and films with ONLY paid actors. When they make videos that involve interaction with the public, in order to broadcast them, they MUST ask permission from those directly involved... This is required by law where I live, and... I believe... also in most "civilized" countries. It is called "Image Rights" and is protected by privacy laws. Only if you are a public figure (minister, actor, singer), by the nature of your profession it is assumed that your public appearances are also "intrinsically in the public domain", but NOT in your private and NOT for everyone! I don't know which country you live in. DayZ players are NOT "public figures" and in any case those who stream (I'm NOT talking about private recordings: always legal!) do it to earn money... and they always do it WITHOUT asking anyone's permission. This is "PARASITISM"! Unfortunately still NOT regulated by law, given that the "internet" always lives in a "bubble of ignorance and indifference" like few other environments, also because legislators are fundamentally ignorant and only interested in the great Lobbies of Power... and they are only interested in those the protection of their music and films. Nobody cares about "ordinary private individuals". And it particularly annoys me... they should go to work like all "normal" people... or they pay "Image Rights"! And if this doesn't happen, I will do everything I can (as any player) to put a spanner in the works of that infamous race of PARASITES! I wonder why most people don't bat an eye at the fact that they are used... in spite of themselves... to generate profit for someone else who doesn't care in the slightest about the rights of others in order to earn money. 😡 -

Streamers are PARASITES ! They use other unaware players to earn money. This should NOT be allowed ! And I am very surprised that almost no one complains... -
If the video hasn't been cut or edited... the car suddenly stopped, with a dry noise in the background... and the player died... If it's not a strange trick that I've never seen (or heard of) yet, it must be a game defect. I've never seen anything like it, and YT is full of car defects in DayZ. I think you were very unlucky. Let's hope it doesn't happen again.

Did you notice that this thread is really old? Makeshift shelters are already part of the game... https://dayz.fandom.com/wiki/Tarp_Shelter The idea is really good, too bad that you can't put them anywhere that isn't perfectly flat, like other tents, turrets and fences. This is what should be changed: a more "permissive" "buildability" on uneven terrain (mainly inside the woods).

CHEATER PLAYER DROPPING HAND GRANEDE
Riddick_2K replied to AntiCheatplayer's topic in General Discussion
As for the character (sex, face and skin) there has been a kind of "bug" for a long time now. I don't remember exactly, it would be better if you searched online, you should find more detailed explanations (then I don't know English and I have to use Google which makes "questionable" translations...). but it was more or less like this: *) You had to commit suicide. *) When dead you had the choice of respawn, whether "random" or "chosen character" (I'm going from memory) *) You should choose the character from all the available types. *) Start the "rebirth" with the chosen character... which did NOT work: I was reborn with the previous character or with a random one. *) Commit suicide again. *) When reborn choose the "usual" character (I'm going from memory... however NOT one to choose again). *) You should be reborn with the character of your choice. I did it a long time ago and now I always have my character. I REPEAT: 1) I went from memory, the options and the procedure could be a little different. 2) I use Google translations, I hope they are understandable. Maybe if you manage to solve it, let us know... maybe it will help the next one... 😉 -
At the moment I have the 551.86 64bit INT WHQL drivers, but I think that any new driver, even if it updates that library, will "unlock" that idiotic and useless "Battleye" system... 😉

Today I try the new patch for the first time and... I start the PC, I set it up like all the other times (CPUID HWMonitor, MSI Afterburner, screenshot folders, etc...), I start Steam, I start DZSA, I try to enter a vanilla Public server where I played before... starts on game... black screen... and the blue wheel that turns, turns, turns, turns, turns, turns... (now, ONLY for DayZ, I use W10)... but the game DOES NOT start. I go out and check "Activity Management" and the game is "not responding". I go back into the game and click on the black page, and a white page appears saying that the game is not responding and Windows is reporting the problem to M$ (roughly, I don't remember the exact words). I'll try with the vanilla launcher... More or less the same thing, but I have some more information: DayZ crashed - Exit code "0xCFFFFFFF - STATUS_APPLICATION_HANG" & (I don't know if it's related) To the "Battleye State": The file "C\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispig.inf_amd64_df0bee9f4cb9436e\nvwgf2umx.dll" was blocked from loading. I have already checked out all the game files from Steam. The "nvwgf2umx.dll" file should be an nvidia driver library, but I haven't changed any drivers (they're always the same ones) and Battleye doesn't seem to have been updated either... I don't know if that's exactly the "problem". Can anyone give me some more "precise" suggestions that aren't the classic "reinstall everything again"?!? (which often just wastes a lot of time without accomplishing anything). 😦

You're mixing up so many different topics and you don't get to the real point... or you "pretend" that you don't get there. I don't think there's anything else to add. The sad thing is to read that almost no one gives a damn about the uncivilized behavior of certain DayZ server managers, and the bullying and discrimination that results from it. 🙄 -

What are you talking about?!? Even robberies and murders happen in the world... and that's why we have to let them happen?!? Of course the B.I. would have the possibility of finding incorrect behavior: on a proven complaint (audio recordings, videos and screenshots of chats/Discord)... it would be enough to want it! And what are you saying... "diversity"?!? Here we are not talking about "diversity", but about "respect for others" (which is lacking) and, sometimes, even actual "bullying" (when get in many, administrators and their "friends" are put together to denigrate and harass the player who is "uncomfortable person" to them or who doesn't lick their ass)! I've seen it too, a few times. I repeat: it is a question of civility and respect for others! These servers should be shut down! I'm really surprised that you still dispute this. Won't you also be one of those administrators, with his "court of friends" who lord it over "your" server... all pompous that: "you paid for it and you do whatever you want with everything and everyone"?!? How can you not get indignant at these behaviors?!?!?! 😠 😡 😠 😡 P.S. Furthermore, these behaviors, if not sanctioned... also throw "mud" on the game... and it is NOT a good advertisement for those who want to buy... 🙄 -
"The Project" server feedback/report
Riddick_2K replied to Grayr0ot banditcamp.com's topic in Servers
I've come across quite a few "toxic" servers like this... you just have to look for some other server, unfortunately. What you could do and, in my opinion, would be useful (and at the moment there is nothing else you can do), is make a video explaining the problem and post it publicly on YT. And it would also be nice if the WHOLE DayZ community would "stop" "condescending" to these toxic behaviors with the excuse that "it's a private server, they pay and they do what they want". NO! Respecting others should NOT be "optional", but a "fundamental" requirement to be able to have a managed server: this should also be in the B.I. rules. If everyone who suffers from these unfair treatments opened a ticket on "feebdack B.I."... maybe... maybe... sooner or later the B.I. could think about making a "civilization rule" to be able to have a server managed. I remember that a server, NOT "locked", is NOT like "your home". And even in your home, if you let someone in, it's not like you can "mistreat" them. It is a complex issue and each country has different rules (laws), especially because these are "online situations" and not in RL. All my solidarity! These servers should be shut down!!! 😠
