You are confusing and mixing things up. How it is born is another matter, it has nothing to do with the level of hunger in the game. THAT bothers me! What they should do, in my opinion, is make DayZ as realistic as possible ... "normal" hunger, "normal" food, "normal" material consumption ... I would also make the "normal" times (the days of 1 hour or 1 & 1/2 hour RL are ridiculous). And if you like it well, otherwise there is a large group of MODs that you can make DayZ anything you want. But the "standard" game should be as realistic as possible. About "EDIT": I'm not one of the programmers, and seeing how the game is going, I have been coming here to complain every now and then: THIS IS a suggestion. And I do it because "the topic" (of this game) is fun and I haven't found an alternative that is at least decent yet. Writing what is wrong is already his suggestion, perhaps the most important one: the one that points out the bullshit! It would be stupid to list the good stuff (only "enthusiastic children" and "panders" do), just get rid of the bullshit and the game could be (almost) perfect (bugs aside). The concept should be obvious! It is still not clear to me if you are really a "masocchist" or just a "forum braggart". BOH?!? However that animals are everywhere is bull*hit. On MOD servers maybe, but on Vanilla ones NO! And with this latest patch it seems to me that we also need to eat more. It looks like a "cooking" game instead of a survival game. Where I specify WELL: "survival" does NOT necessarily mean "having to starve"! As I see it, the FIRST rule of any video game MUST be the "verisimilitude", otherwise it becomes an unplayable crap ... and the "balance of the game" or the "fun challenges" I wipe the rear! Has the loot modified? But you can't think that the whole purpose of this game is ONLY to get some special weapon ... And after that? Use it to kill someone? DayZ is so much more, or at least it should be. And all the context that revolves around (infected, destroyed society, etc.) this is the game. If not really, it's best to play BF or CoD. Then M16 is crap, much better an M4, just to say. But in DayZ, even a FAL or a VSD, are useless and out of context weapons. If they disappeared, the "real" game would not change. It's not (or at least it shouldn't be) a War FPS. It is precisely adding these useless weapons and making them "a hard target" that makes this game stupid and literally "wastes" all of its great "survival" potential. But that's just my point of view, of course. And an addition that I forgot before. The hunter jacket can be found in campsites and hunter turrets, it is quite common, a leather jacket you have to build with other materials to find, after killing some animals, it is more difficult to have. Nobody will have a leather jacket before a hunter's one. And the leather one is better than the hunter's one, it has 1 more HotBar slot and absorbs less. This would be the way to "favor" the "survival" ... allow the construction in leather and make it better than the best "industrial" jacket (as characteristics) -

Where do you play? Not on vanilla servers. On vanilla servers you can only find food if no one has been there before, as long as someone is born just before you and you can't find anything. Loot is static NOT dynamic. it's always the same you have to share it with others. And the infected rarely have food. The only way to avoid dying as a newborn and being born on an empty server. If you are already equipped and inside, animals are not that common either. The only real possibility is: *) if you have time to waste, grow pumpkins (the only ones that satiate you a little) but you have to have more than an hour to lose and you can't go away to do anything else, that the plants rot and disappear in 2 hours (even on Mars it doesn't work like this, other than realism!) *) if you don't have much time, but you have water nearby, you can fish ... but you must have the equipment to throw away, because it wears out as if you were using it in a foundry to cast steel, not for fishing. And you have to cook, if you don't have the vitamin pills (bad system NOT realistic, too "stupid-arcade", this one) and to mount the worms you have to take everything apart and put it back together ... an idiotic system, probably done because unable to do it differently and more realistic. Even cooking, after all, is unrealistic, when you have to get up every time you change steak. It's all very stupid and badly done... but at least you eat ... But it is absurd that you can eat a whole cow (if you find it) and be hungry the next day. It's all very very stupid, other than "arcade". Giving DayZ some "arcade" would be a compliment! But what other weapons should they put into a survival game? The tanks?!? This game already has too many weapons and absurdly useless. The motivation should be to "survive the pandemic", or to change the game. I have the whole Battlefield series too, but it's another game. There I go to kill people, it's a war, that's the game. In DayZ NO! In DayZ it's about surviving the infected and deprivation of skipped society, not exterminating each other among "bored players". If someone "gets bored" trying to survive, let them change their game. This should be the direction of the game, in my opinion, NOT what I see these programmers have. Indeed, to be honest, I fear that they do NOT have a "precise direction", but they travel on sight (depending on the mood of the market) and how they "be able" (they try to repair what they can: very little I see.) What I don't understand are the absurd deliberate choices (fences and tents impossible to assemble, backpacks to be emptied to store, put "special" items and then make them impossible to find for the many, but giving it away to a lucky few and cheaters, etc), they seem to hate the game or the players. And about the leather jackets: I don't know if WikiDayz is right or not, but look at the characteristics of the various jackets. Even if you are not a "survival enthusiast" like me and you are "proud" to get yourself the leather jacket ... look at the weight, waterproofness, heat, storage space and additional slots and compare it with the others jackets. They are not to be thrown away, on the contrary. And colored in dark brown it is also quite camouflage. Not trying to kill my neighbor, for me, the military camo is just an "aesthetic whim" (as an old militaria collector and I still use camo or green military clothing in RL) What has certainly changed is the symbol of the stomach (with the 3 arrows upwards) which arrives earlier and remains more time before being able to eat again. It takes you a lot longer to get your fill. But it seems to me that even after eating the maximum (with the single arrows alternating up and down... and the stomach symbol) it takes less time than once before you see the apple empty and have to eat again. And after that you can eat a whole cow and a few wolves again, to be full again. Forcing continuous eating, as well as being very stupid and completely unrealistic, will NOT make most people abandon "pew pew pew". The "problem" of "pew pew pew" is much more complex and articulated, and given how the "quality" of the various patches is going, I don't think it will ever be "solved", on the contrary it will get worse and worse. Get ready to call this game "BattleDayZ" or "Call Of DayZ" -

You are talking about another game, NOT DayZ. Food is NOT that common! And with this latest patch you are even hungrier than before, which is absurd and grotesque. The problem with "pew pew pew" is because they keep adding weapons taken from ArmA (which is easy and of little work) and they don't add "survival" things: all constructions with skins (jackets, pants, belts...), the arches, make it more and more difficult to build fences and place tents in the woods and instead make it easier and easier to destroy them. There are few vehicles and they don't work never. And many other things... ALL this, coupled with the fact that so many players are looking for the fight as if it were the only source of fun (and these programmers favor this idea) and this is how DayZ is becoming, patch after patch, more and more a stupid FPS of war. -

I wish I could make the jackets, trousers and belts from the tanned skins of the killed animals... It seems to me that it is not yet possible... at least I have not succeeded... P.S. And removing the wheels is always a high "take-off risk" operation. I took off a Golf found fresh and never used just by adding one of the 2 missing wheels. Hide it in the woods? I have already found some, in the woods near "useful" places... generally I left them where they were, but if I needed them, given how all the others do, I would have no qualms about taking it. And so do almost everyone. In a wood "lost in deserted areas"? And can you go there with a Volga, a Skoda or a Golf ? (Maybe with a Niva, if I found him) And then going to retrieve it when needed becomes a feat... always with the doubts that in any case someone passes through it anyway. A garage made with a double turret? They are very difficult to position, these fu** programmers have made them more and more impossible to assemble... And anyway, only 5/6 grenades are enough, but maybe, in this case, they think about it so as not to ruin the vehicle... maybe... if they don't destroy everything out of "simple envy". The system of "hiding" it among other carcasses is nice, but it will work until someone goes to look for spare parts. In this case, you will immediately realize that it is a usable car and not a carcass. Yes, on a server where I play little, I also have a car at the "edges of the map", but hidden among the bushes... and after more than a month it is still there (I still hope at the moment I am writing 😁) , but it is a server where I play very little and where I have no base yet, the machine is not essential to me. I need a system to hide a car near the base that I have (on the outskirts of a northern city; but I'm thinking of changing that too because it has already been raided 3 times), so that I can use it when I need it without having to make long journeys or complex reconstructions. Anyway thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I also understand the "problem" that, as soon as someone writes a "good" way to hide something in a public forum, after many read it, that system is no longer so "good" 😉

Given that I agree perfectly with what you say and what you do, even if I fear it is useless... unfortunately... but "Repetita Juvant". However, in the vast majority of the videos you post, no one has the readiness to immediately press the brakes and immediately turn off the engine at the first signs of instability. Are they all children with 10/20 hours of play? I have saved myself many times with this system. Is the only system one I know who can do something: inform the server that the machine "must be stopped", and hope the server "understands" it. Perhaps it should be repeated many times, so that everyone becomes aware of it. Many lives could be saved 😁

Why block the NVG completely? Not need just for PvP, but for the whole game... anyone who wants to play even at night (as well as many other games, if they do not provide for a night in light twilight sun, they directly provide a pair of night viewers by default), must use a couple of NVGs, to fish, hunt, build, loot... you can't do it without seeing decently. Then, since it is DayZ and you also have to defend yourself from all the other players, it is essential to defend yourself. With this patch, the NVGs have been moved from military zones (Tier 2-3-4 & max 5... however hard to find) to just Heli-Crash ... that is almost impossible to find! I, in more than 900 hours only on public servers, I have NOT seen even one! And on some low-population servers I even turned with a car a bit, so I was able to see a lot of Heli-Crash sites in a short time. Is one of the rarest things in the game (and even more stupid for how they were made. I would have to write even on this, and the new patch does NOT help because the sound is useless if they are so rare and the Russian ones do NOT do any smoke neither and are practically invisible if you do not stumble upon them by mistake, I know this well from my private server where, to be able to see at least one, I have increased the number considerably and turned always with a cars). And it is NOT enough! They also imposed the " count_in_player ="1" ", ie the maximum number of NVGs (always equal to 5) is counted NOT only on the map but also if present in a player. This means that it is enough that in a server there are 5 players with an NVG that it will NOT spawn anymore! And I think it is well known that helicopter spawns are for the most part bullshit and banality found all over the place... the specific things that SHOULD be EXCLUSIVE are very rare even in Heli-Crash. Imagine how common it will be to find an NVG now. WELL. This will only favor some big clans, which will be able to have the exclusivity and night predominance in the various public servers and/or dupers and cheaters! DayZ "should not" be a pvp military shooter, but in fact it is more and more, precisely because of the programmers' choices. For these reasons I always wander full and with stamina to a minimum (and even less). In these conditions I no longer have any useful runs (except with epinephrine, which however does not last long). In case of a gas attack, if I am not yet at the edge of the cloud (which is difficult, since what I am looking for is always well inside the cloud), I do NOT have the possibility to escape: I am automatically dead. Everything else is at "individual discretion". Rather... Who elevates himself, with his own and personal ideas that go beyond the official rules of the game, to a "healthy bearer" of "just and moral ethics" and demands that all the others adapt or are "ugly and bad people" ... well, it just seems to me that a bit arrogant attitude.

The fact that there are humans who kill you to steal, for sport or to "vent their IRL frustrations" is NOT the "aim" of the game, but a secondary fact, that the B.I. it could (in my opinion should) be at a disadvantage by stopping to fill this game with military weapons of special use (sniper weapons) and by stopping to make other guns "RARE" favoring a few players (clan, lucky or cheaters) to the detriment of all the others ... More and more thing with the NVGs, which are used by everyone NOT to kill, but also only for daily night activities. When you organize a game favoring very few (and not just "legitimate" players) at the expense of ALL others, this is NOT a balanced game, and the direction is that of a war FPS, not a "pandemic survival". .. what I remember is the official substance of the game! And sadly, after reading this forum (and the Steam one) a lot, I'm afraid a good majority of gamers want just that. Probably due to the lack of balance between players, compared to the "classic" war FPS, where you start with all the default equipment. In DayZ the "imbalance" between players is expected and increasingly favored ... and NOT because you just have to find the stuff... search for objects is the substance of DayZ (I hate "traders", one of the reasons why I don't play on modded servers ), but because the spawn is badly done and too unbalanced! This causes great disparities between players and is one of the most appreciated things in those who enjoy "harassing the weaker", those who "like to win easy" ... like those who gear up and go and kill the bambi on the coast, just to give a classic example. The B.I. it should "disfavour" these behaviors, and they could do it ... but they do the opposite. And on the "trouble" of this game, the forum is full (and also too little)

Lately, following the new (unfortunate) patch, I don't play as much anymore. I logged in today and, in the game from the Steam overlay it no longer loads any player name, it seems the server is always deserted. What is it, a new unfortunate setting of "paranoia" or "distorted vision" of the game ... because it's just a game ... a fucking game just for fun ... and you can also see it well from all "poetic licenses" that are taken with respect to what "should" be the reality of the context that the game purports to present. More and more disappointed and embittered... 😞

And I reserve the right, as a paying player, to use everything that the game legitimately allows me to use! I don't want to spawn fully equipped, I wish I DON'T have to play a war game like DayZ is becoming! It doesn't seem that difficult to understand. I already have a war game that I like and enjoy: Battlefield! When I feel like fighting humans I play there... which for this it works infinitely better. In DayZ I do NOT want to fight humans, I want to fight against the environment and the pandemic! That's why I bought DayZ, otherwise I was stayed with Battlefield, or trying COD, which is made for it. This is the meaning of my complaint. DayZ is NOT a war FPS it is too mechanical and bureaucratic to do it well, why insist on special weapons, bombings and, above all, game discrimination by making sure that only a few "lucky" (if all goes well) or "scammers" (when goes wrong, often in DayZ) can they have the best part of the loot? Special weapons, since I'm not looking for a fight, I don't care... when I have an anti-bear machine gun (the small AKM74U seems to be enough) that's enough for me... already the silencer is a nuisance, because it is very useful for not attracting all the infected nearby and the "mangy" players (which I avoid like the plague) so I will always have to keep an MP5, as well as an AKM74U... and all for a little dick silencer... but the NGV is essential for me to be able to play at night ... even if I just want to fish, hunt, build or search for loot. Now that it can only be found in accidents, the helicopters that I have never seen, they turn me around a lot... if then, also, they must be able to be "blocked" with this ease, it is really bad! Very easy that, once dead, I will never come back, because I don't know if it will be fun to always have to go out every night, like when I had 10/20 hours of play and I didn't even think about NVGs. You will be all happy, I guess, by how much you are braggart and how much you denigrate all those who do not think like you and complain (rightly) about the game. I don't think this unsocial and fundamentally "anti-social" behavior is a good thing for a game forum

You say it in a "sarcastic" sense with the intention of denigrating, but who has decided that you must always punch everything? Is a bluster as a teenager. Why should I risk my life trying to escape when it's easier to go out and wait 30 minutes? All this is stupid. Anyway, about NVG is true, when I updated my personal server and re-edited the loot XML files I saw that the NVGs moved them to helicopter crashes... Even worse! In vanilla servers, after 900 hours of gameplay , I've never seen even one! Just to make things even more difficult and "unbalanced" 😞 There is only 5 maximum and 3 minimum, and they count both on the map and on the players (great nastiness), so, as long as there are 5 players with an NVG that NOT even one will be born anymore. Beautiful discrimination for an object that is useful to everyone, hunters, fishermen, builders, if they want to play even at night... not only for those looking for a fight, as for weapons. Here, this is the biggest "badness" done with this new 1.14 patch. And now, "fan boy" and "yes man" forums you can even stone me, if that gratifies your ego. I hope that the programmers of the B.I. understand that a forum of "minions" and "lackeys" is of no use.
