Which country do you live in ? What does "ATT" mean? Is it a company or a brand of some technological object? This is an international forum, you take too many things for granted, but I think that hardly anyone in this forum has understood what you write. Maybe someone who lives in the same country as you. However you should first check that your network settings are correct and working. Search some tech forum in your country and check that both of your networks are working fine.

Hi all. Do you know, by chance, if there is still the possibility of getting a pot while fishing? It used to happen to me, now that I need it, I only take carp or rubber boots. Has something changed or do I just have to insist? Thank you

Ok, I'll answer myself, maybe it can be useful for someone else. Yes, pots are still taken, but they are rare like in the game. To get one I had to fish at least 15 times in a row and catch at least 4 wellies and 11 carp, but in the end I got a pot. Badly damaged, of course, but with a torch and a gas bottle, it can be repaired until "worn". It is one of the accessories that I never want to miss: a pot with a camping stove.

But if there are programmers who, sometimes, have some spare time left over for them... why, instead of creating "hats and masks" don't they deal with the annoying flaws of the game, such as the textures of the hats of the infected that are still too low and you can see the hair, or the textures of certain mushrooms that disappear inside your hand when you eat them? Wouldn't it be more important to fix the flaws of the game, than to add "uselessness" ?!? 🤨

I'm sorry but I really think you will have to destroy at least the bottom panel to get into the base. Is one of the many defects of DayZ: the slots of the fences are accessible, but then the added accessories can disappear under the ground or inside the walls. These are bad design choices like so many others. The programmers simply write this game as they like but never play it... they just wait for the "moans" of the players and then... maybe... they fix something. It happens to me sometimes with barbed wires: I add them to the fence slot, but then they are neither visible nor activated with the assembly pliers. If they were decent programmers, this problem would have been detected during the first test of the fences and fixed right away, before the public release. Try making a video of the problem and posting it to the B.I. feedback site. maybe they'll do something... but I think at the moment, the only option is to dismantle the lower wall of the door, go inside and hope to be able to activate the numbers from inside. Maybe, if you make a video of the problem, post it in this forum... maybe someone can find a simpler solution. Best wishes. 😉 P.S. This is DayZ too

HI. It would be nice if you wrote in English, maybe it's a better known language and it simplifies the translation. Anyway. For all problems like that, I would first make sure that everything is OK and that there are no viruses or other glitches. I don't know you and I can't know how much you know about computer science. Having ascertained that it is a "random" anomaly, you can simply connect your HD to another PC and manually delete all the folders and libraries that you do not want to keep. If you have the S.O. still "protected" (I unlock everything immediately on first installation, including UAC) search the net how to take possession of all files and folders via console. I'm only giving you some suggestions, I don't pretend to give a "basic computer science" lesson, since you can find everything and more on the net. Let us know how you fixed it. 😉 -
How long have you been playing DayZ... Have you noticed the amount of glitches... trivial... it still has? I'm not talking about strange things that happen only on a few rare occasions (which would be understandable if programmers are unaware of them), but real everyday banalities... badly worn Z caps... mushrooms that I took into hand are completely stoned with the texture... trees everywhere out of the ground... stones that seem to float in mid-air... just play for a few tens of hours and see for yourself all this. But programmers don't see it... or act like they don't know or don't give a damn. This is DayZ too. And happens, when you open a ticket (which finding fault SHOULD mostly be their job paid with the game), they don't even respond, almost as if it's a favor that THEY are doing YOU. Haven't you noticed this yet?!? But you still play DayZ, yes?

If your main interest is only to arm yourself and protect yourself like a soldier going to war... maybe you've got the wrong game. And the answer he gave confirms even more what I think. That person doesn't give a damn about "survival", just arm themselves and fight against other players...just like Battlefield and COD. For me he played the wrong game, even if ... unfortunately ... many people consider DayZ just a "folkloric variant" of ArmA 🤢

The dimensions of the various faces would be only and exclusively in the HD, not expense on the CPU. The updates could take place on a weekly basis in a "quiet" time, only a library with the various new images would have to be loaded, nothing serious. But it would be nice to see. The only flaw I can imagine is that if this game already works badly, everything that is added can only make the situation worse ... but this for ANY addition to the game, not just this one ... unfortunately. -
This game is EVERYTHING a flaw. Have you ever noticed that police crashes disappear when you restart the server. Surely that of the small group of houses above the Balota Airfield. The Kamenka Pier Military Crash I often still find the military infected but the convoy has already disappeared. And at the Military Crash west of Novoselki, just above the intersection with the military tents, I happened to see the loot items hanging in the air but without the vehicles and the infected. I don't frequent carbonated zones, but I think "the events" are broken as is everything else in the game. What really pisses me off is that (besides some deliberate choices that are grotesque, absurd and out of reality) is that many of the glitches and glitches are so trivial and commonplace that they only indicate 2 things :*) either the programmers give a shit about the game and of players *) or they simply never play it. They write the game and never play it once and let the players "do the dirty work" and eventually complain... and maybe... MAYBE... they'll fix something... There are still badly worn hats, badly taken mushrooms, completely busted light, and so many other trivialities that anyone who tries this game for a few dozen hours will see them right away! How is it possible that these programmers are not aware of it (since they have always been the same defects for so many years)? Can anyone give me a sensible and objective answer? And when you open a ticket, they don't even always answer you... as if it were a favor that THEY are doing YOU. The world upside down! 🙄

If it's as bullet protection, I don't know, I don't play DayZ like it's Battlefield or COD. I haven't even used any helmet for a long time, I find it uncomfortable and useless after so many clashes with the Zs. My choices follow more the load capacity (before) and aesthetics (after). For waterproofing, which is also important, I always make "compromises", since if you are well sated you never have any major problems, except when you swim, but these are rare cases and waterproof hats do not exist anyway. Try watching some Wobo videos. He has made many and, it seems, he also looks into the game code to understand exactly the real characteristics and not "conditioned" by random or emotional events.

From what point of view? I don't think there is anything "absolutely better". Each object has advantages and disadvantages, the choice is always personal as the evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages is always personal. Over the years, I myself have changed the "evaluation criteria" of clothes, accessories and weapons, and I have changed the set up not because the characteristics of certain objects have changed, but because my needs and opinions have changed. DayZ is a very complex game, a question as "generic" as yours, I don't think can have an "absolute" and equally "generic" answer. 😉

Some game fixes. Some game breaking and all the medieval paraphernalia, which is silly and completely out of context. For the favorite mod it's difficult, the really "essential" ones are the ones that "fix" the game, and we need so many that aren't even enough, because there aren't any mods to fix everything that needs to be done. But I want to mention 3 main, more "frivolous" ones: 1) "Winter Chernarus" Chernarus with snow is just amazing. 2) "Red Falcon Watercraft" I've always missed boats that really float, but especially with the maps with the islands. 3) "DayZ-Editor" Being able to modify the maps, with additions and deletions is invaluable for those who have their own server and also want to "personalize" the map. It's not "perfect" (but no mod is, and neither is the game, of course)... it has its "glitches"... but really, what you can do with this mod is just amazing.

If this game had a modicum of realism, I might agree, but... look around... what's "real" about DayZ ?!? Very little. And the worst is that they do everything to make it even more stupid, unreal and arcadey. Rather let's hope they manage to fix something without breaking something else, as happens with almost every patch... For these "detail", let's leave them to the mods, which are the ones that really save this game. 😉

There's no such only thing as black or white... Perhaps, in DayZ, it would be better to fix the game, at least on these "simple" things where it's "easy" to do: *) - Making clothes that "should" be truly waterproof (this is elementary, you just need to want it !!!) *) - Add waterproof nylon ponchos (waterproof but cold) that can be added on top of everything, jackets, backpacks, hats, etc... as in reality. These may get humid underneath from perspiration *) - Add (or modify the already existing jackets) warm and waterproof jackets, like in reality (padded and in goretex or these other new breathable and waterproof materials). These should remain completely dry, as they are waterproof and breathable All of this isn't difficult, it doesn't even require new animations, just some scripting and some new textures. Why, in your opinion, they don't do it... why aren't they capable of it? I do not think so. Follow the "patch historian" and notice the deliberate choices they've often made, all aimed at making this game more and more absurdly unrealistic and "arcade"...well, I think this is the real reason: they DON'T want to do it. Why ? Well, this would have to be discussed at length, it's something that I've been wondering for years now, but not knowing the programmers and their managers personally, the only thing that comes to mind is that: either they hate the game and/or the players (and they enjoy screwing up the game), or they just don't care and do things as they happen. I just don't see other reasons for certain choices... I keep repeating: luckily there are mods and personal servers. 🙄

Well, it's not that difficult, more than anything else and very very complex, it really has a lot of variables, and often, with each patch, they change them, and not always well or to the player's advantage. Then it's also a very very long and slow game... It's definitely not a "enter and shoot". Not counting the flaws that, unfortunately, also add to each patch. Even WikiDayZ doesn't help much, precisely because it's a very complex game that changes (even a lot, sometimes) with each patch... You lose days and days of playing to try and understand many things... and often, above all as far as it's about "player interactions", when you've learned something new, you're also dead and you have to start everything again from scratch... more hours/days of play just to get yourself back to where you left off. I have a fair amount of experience with vanilla vehicles, but I did it on my personal server, otherwise, if all your experience is based solely and exclusively on public servers, you will never try certain things and you will always remain "zero experience". This is DayZ too. In my opinion, getting the vehicles to work WELL should be THE main priority, and then putting more of them and with a system that makes them more findable / usable by players. Maybe no longer make them "eternal" but with an "expiration without use" and NOT updatable only by a flag. But until they get them right, they're more dangerous than helpful. And about the bases, getting experience on those is one of the slowest things there is, because they are hard to make, they require a lot of material and a lot of work (and that's right), but they are too easy to disassemble and they don't give any real protection... either the big stone houses, to tell the truth, since the bullets pass even the big stone walls... another bad defect of DayZ since ever... As I said... it's not that it's "difficult", it's that it's very very complex... very very slow... and very very badly done/defective... all this makes "gaining experience" very long. And with each patch, many of the things you've learned are NOT valid anymore and you just have to learn more... It's a "continuous battle", not only "in the game", but also (unfortunately) "against the game"... P.S. My advice: if you want to stay alive longer, avoid full servers, avoid interactions with anyone, move around the game very carefully even if there are only a few of you in the game (even just one player, you might find him around the next corner... and if you see him first, that's fine, if he sees you first, you could very easily die) and follow the players' progress on "Battlemetrics" to see the times of day when the server is less populated, if you have to do something "dangerous" (loot in military zones, for example). With a doll, a few "wipes" ago ... I managed to get 11 days of game before the next wipe. It's that it's not the only one I have in the game, I often play with both official "hives" (normal & HC), as well as my 2 personal servers (Vanilla & Modded) and, sometimes, even in modded servers of others... Especially with the pandemic I really played a little too much. Now I'll try to "slow down" a little and also recover a little "external life" (the real one) 😁

Use the "Izurvive" online map, if you don't already know it, it helps a lot, especially if you don't know the game well. The fruits of the trees should be your first quest, simple to find, and give you some energy/liquid. Then in the houses you can find boxes with a tear-off opening. You can eat dog and cat food, you know that right? Also other types of food with tear-off opening. With this you manage to stay alive and recover some energy. Especially when you're new, remember that vitamin pills give you immunity to disease for eating raw meat, as long as you have the pill symbol. It's convenient and fast if you find them when you're just born, you can eat chickens and animals without just having to cook them. Avoid unfamiliar meat, I've been sick even from fully sated and on vitamin pills (I did it for testing). Later, in my opinion, animal meat was reduced too much, it no longer deserves to go hunting, rather it deserves to go fishing. On the coast you could find hooks and fishing rods (which you could also build, the former with animal bones and the latter with rope and stick). With a knife you find the worms and with everything you fish. Carp or mackerel give a fair nutritional value. 😉

I do not believe. I've seen others like it... They always have a "hard core" of "friends" and "friends of friends" whom they don't abuse... then there are always the "unaware" players who continue to play without knowing or realizing what kind of administration is it, why don't they "bother friends", why don't they happen to do it or hear it... A section of the forum should be set up specifically to report all these "anomalous behaviors" (I'm kind) because, if it is also true that the B.I. cannot do anything against this (perhaps the rules on personal servers should also be reviewed, IMHO), it is also true that it is the B.I. which should help ALL players from having to suffer abuse and injustice of all kinds. Establishing the "unclear servers" section, with the possibility for all players to write about their "bad adventures", and the possibility for administrators to explain what happened (from their point of view), IMHO, would be a good and right thing. -

Indeed. I call them "promotions" or "sales" like for supermarkets or shops. It's always been a bug of DayZ (as far as I remember, I started from 1.06). You almost never find what you need and often, when you find something, you also find others that are the same, often in the same place, or just around the corner. In theory it should be the "<restock>" item (the delay time for putting an object back into play), if set, to slow down the spawn and to "scatter" an object better. In the "types.xml" file, not all objects have a "restock" time set and it's something I changed on my server, but I see that it still doesn't work... I always find "groups of objects" in the same area . Unfortunately DayZ is like this, often too many objects of the same type in the same place and, often, some objects are completely missing. It's been like this since I can remember. And many times not even a few days is enough... even if they are not always on DayZ, but it seems as if the "regional distributor" has problems with stocking certain items and you have to wait for the next restocking to find the item "on the shelves ". 😁 This is DayZ too. Moreover, the "GlowPlugs" only count on the map, so they are not "blockable for accumulation" by anyone, you could accumulate them infinitely, at least 12 would always be born on the map. (nominal = 20 min = 12 restock = 0, count_in_map ONLY, "tools", "Industrial") Maybe they are waiting to spawn or they are all in one area specify that you do not travel.
