Hello! :-) I wish that I could simply throw my backpack in the trunk as in real life. If it were almost empty, I wouldn't care if it took it's maximum space. E.g. 42 places instead of 16. But: Collecting stuff would be easier, if a friend were killed. I hope that this can be made possible. All the best, dexic

Hello Survivors, I have a fireplace in a house on Server DE-2197, which I have used two times. I have killed the flames with water once, when I was finished with cooking. Now I can't get the fire started. The Kindling is burnt (rag, paper), but the fire doesn't start to burn; I just see the blaze and hear a SSSSSSSSS, and that's it. I have played a couple of day/night cycles and went through a server restart and the problem remains. I don't want to move out everything, because the place is nice and cozy. How can I fix that? It seems not to really work. I guess, that it is some kind of bug or intended function which is not fully implemented, while they have assigned the button on the screen.

Yes, you are right! I am about 3 days into the game and haven't come across chlorine tablets. So: - Boiling water in a pot - emptying bottles and filling them up at a well - desinfection with (a) chlorine tablets, (b) alcohol or (c) desinfectant seem to work perfect.

Good news! I have boiled some stuff with a pot with about 80% of water (after boiling twice before). The water tastes like shit, but I didn't get any infection. It seems, that you can leave the cooked stuff inside the pot, carry it all with you and drink from the pot. 🙂

@etaab: Yes, there is a function on the PS4. If you open the quickslot menu, you can press the circle button to combine something. It just doesn't seem to work properly. Perhaps it is just for magazines to feed them into weapons, this might be a point. But as I usually use a rifle, an SMG, a pistol and a knife on a pretty lean character, there is no space for a magazine any more. And since they have fucked up the reload mechanism [triangle] for magazines in 1.05, every magazine has to be fed into the weapon through the menu, otherwise it would jam and the player would need to log out and log in again, which is frustrating.

Thank you for your replies! 🙂 I have found out, that it really was the ground on which you stand, that makes it possible to empty out a bottle. Outside a house on the green, right. Didn't check it on the streets in a city though. I have tried to purify water by desinfection with alcohol - works! Next try: Boil something in water and drink the water. What the fuck - I will die anyway. 😁 Cheers!

Dear Survivors, since V1.05, I have the problem, that I can't empty the plastic bottles that I find on my way. My goal is preventing a disease by emptying the bottle and filling it up with clean water. Diseases have killed me so often ... I have tried to look at my feet and hopefully empty the bottle with R2, but this doesn't work. As far as I remember, this has been working in V1.04, right? Is there any other workaround, except emptying them into barrels? I feel that barrels are not easy to be found since they are being used as storage for hoarding stuff in bases. And does cooking water in a pot still work to make it safe? Does it even work, when you cook meat with it? Thank you very much in advance and see you on the field! dexic

On the other hand: In today's world, if you pay, you play, so you can simply buy success on online games with a good PC, why the not with good equipment on the PS4?

Dear Survivors, I am trying to use the "combine" function in the quickslot menu. I want to hold an item in my hands and cut it with my knife to make rags. So I have put this item in my hands and then I chose the knife from the quickslot menu end pressed the circle button. But: No R2-function appeared to make rags. What went wrong?
