While you have a point, Imagine the people who get the gun m4 off the raid or killing the guy, Most people's mind set on console is this I've found out " Find a AR, Hide that Shiz immediately" And it would just be tucked away again, First day I found a m4 and ak74s all over and 2 days later nothing, 2 weeks later nothing , a month later nothing, on a low pop, And Stupid me I didnt take all the guns I found at the time because I figured the loot was always going to be like that but Ive gotten use to the basic weapons you find, mp5, skorpion,shotgun, Sk, cr, mosin, Those high tier military rifles, you find a idiot running around at night with a flare, And he has a ka-m checking road signs using the Isurvive map and you body him and wonder how the frick he found a Ka-m. On one of my home servers Frequently checking the list and I would see Generic user name during the day on the server, Then at night Generic user name 2, Then Generic user name 3, So imagine, people have gear stashed on actual characters in the same locations , hiding weapons like that and removing or deleting underground stashes wouldn't do much either because there are places as a player, you would never go or find, with stuff in plain sight. long story short : Until console players get over gear fear, And multi-accounting , Nothing can be done, Thats another thing as well, also the devs would have to get a better grip on the things we are at odds with, Long with major gamebreaking bugs.

What are you planning to do with a base is the real question, if its just to chill inside or stash stuff, I got some advice . Hide your items in plain sight, I had a building once Lived in it for like 2 weeks no activity, I built a Fence inside, and It got hit. Ever since then I leave all my stuff out in the open and no one ever touches or see's anything. also the effort to take down bases is so silly but, If you want a good spot , Find a place in a unmillitarized area on the east coast in my opinion, You got a safe place, to travel from, and if you get a car you can do runs to tisy and such from there, I mean there are closer locations but one the western side, There are too many wild cards also have to account for wolf spawns. Maybe pavlovo if you really want a neat spot or the gym in severograd.

Its the game on console, its not optimized well for playstation, I've played on high pop and no pops with cars. And they seem to behave the same whenever they feel like , Like Car traction varies in some cars very often, its so weird.

This game is a lump of coal, It has potential and a lot of it but If you don't own it Already. I couldn't suggest you buy it in good faith, I have some videos of this game and its bug , Trials and tribulations. Its astounding to me how there are just so many simple bugs , in a survival game where you need your stuff to function to , I dont know survive. On occasion , I'd find guns that didn't shoot. Sometimes you would have an item out that you didnt have out on your side (example : you have out a combat knife but you actually have out a mp5 and you are shooting it while trying to melee zombies but on your side you are swinging the knife ) - That's one doozy of a bug. The Lag in cars is unreal at times, The shore line being littered with Camp fires from people trying to get better spawns, Servers just coming to a complete stand still, Getting out of cars to get the graphical bug of you falling from the sky (Easy kill because you have to relog because everything despawns visually for you) Audio bugs, Where you buddy hears the shot you don't hear it, Then later on you hear the shot and they don't , Items getting bugged in inventories like the car, and you have to wait until reset to get them back , not being able to interact with some objects without relogging, Killing a geared guy who has a rifle, And not being able to interact with Said rifle multiple times, Not knowing a gun doesn't work until , You are approaching a target (This is frequent with certain guns) , Very limited player interaction, I don't expect to be able to interact with every soul I come in contact with, but some days you can play around the whole map, And never see another soul, on a high pop server for 10 hours. It makes no sense. And the last few times I played the Official and non official servers have been relatively lagger than dayz has ever been and Once you get a bad bug, You have to decide do you want to relog to get into a 30+ que because you see the bullets your guy dropped for you. Also Render bugs : Some people not everyone if you look at them in pitch blackness Depending on what skin they have exposed (Example : balaclava or ski mask, Even denim shorts, It will illuminate their legs or eye holes or face, It only does it to people, I noticed it with a few friends they always have it happen to them , when I look at them) Then Light source Desync, (Example : Player a. has a light and can see a light, Player B. has a light and can see a light. Player A cannot see players b light, But Player B, can see their own light and player a's light) This is a deadly order, Someone could be walking right up to you and you would never even know unless you hear them. Binoculars derendering the surround areas ( I've actually spotted players in the woods from way out because of this issue , You can see their unrendered body running through the forest and if you stay trained in when they render in you just see them clearly) Also player weapons don't always show in their hands, I joined a server once, A guy had a ka m, The whole 30-40 minutes I played with him, I seen him shoot, I seen him reload but Never once did the gun show in his hands, He literally would just put his fist up on my side when he was shooting it. It was actually insane. Theirs a lot of issues for a game with potential but for 50 bucks, Its definitely more of a 25-35$ dollar game if that in its current state. My home server has died, Played it before 1.04 and it was a high pop all the time, After the update it became a medium , mostly low pop, And then 2 weeks later it was a low low pop 95% of the time. In like a year or so , The game might be a better state but by then I mean you could play it where it excels , Which is on pc honestly.

a server wipe is needed every so often, I mean they do it on pc for each big update. So why not dayz? It would only make sense

Damn, I wish I could get the refund too, I like this game and the concept but console isn't worth it especially after seeing the pc side of things, the community and such is overall better and has a lot more bells and whistles and whatnot but there are other games this 50 bucks definitely could have gone toward instead.

What are you talking about? lol if you don't see guns go steal them. You could walk across the whole map with a shovel and the odds are finding that odd dig spot is astronomical unless they are dumb enough to bury it next to their base. I have things buried in the most obscure places, That no one has ever found, on a high pop server, I have crates out in the open on a high pop server that i leave alone for days at a time. If you are finding dig spots easily or bases with their actual weapons inside of them, Good job. usually the bases I find either have a bunch of junk and I m not combing areas looking for dig spots in random locations, usually they have them close if not I move on.

Too bad its too late to talk with the wallet, as much as I care about this game the experience and the concept of it. Its just in a sorry state on console, and I try to be optimistic but it seems they don't care.

I was on a private server, The faction one on ps4, One of the top servers, I meet a guy in the game doing the look through the walls exploit by clipping through the height of buildings using the shelf and he was bragging about duping a mosin and what not. So yeah private servers are not the answer, Also you can even dupe on accident one night I was moving a fire barrel back to my area, and I put it down to fight a zombie before the server crashed and bam, 2 barrels for the price of one. Its pretty silly. Between the rendering,framerate, and things that don't work. Duping sours the experience especially with the loot table caps but you have to think when you kill a "duper" the gun won't even be usable 9/10 times.

A wipe every few months or so is healthy, it keeps people active and resets the loot table.Too many players have excessive gear fear and squirrel away guns in locations they have no intentions of using. Imagine if someone people found most of the actual rifles on a server, Duped them and only used the duped ones because those bug out. you would get a gun but it wouldn't work.

i've actually only seen one on a private server, It had a vsd a vss and that was it, It was outside of kameka or something like that that gas station completely west on the shore, They are rare it seems.

honestly, I think they should keep the stone knife until they get rid of the roadflare and rag, Those fires on the shore I think they are ruining server performance server wide.

I never hear my ps4 when its on, it could be my fan is busted or it just has a large space and decent ventilation but I don't know, the hotfix was just for disk usage but who knows.

This is a fact, Some servers currently, You cannot even drive a car , let alone walk without insane lag both community and Official. Its insane. Especially in community with all the fires down by the shore , Which we found out have collision with cars, so careful you dont launch into the stratosphere. But some of the main bugs I've experience in cars 1. Getting out of car makes you fall through the map (relogging fixes) 2. sometimes the car starts shaking and moving on your side but its not actually happening in game ( relogging fixes) 3. Lag when in car and it literally freezes the screen the car keeps going with whatever the last direct input is (Either it crashes the game, or you regain control in a ditch or something) 4. sometimes the lag will cause desync with the car and shift you off the road without any inputs just holding gas on a straight road 5. headlights dont work, but one night I did see the tail lights working, I don't understand why Or how. 6. Cars flipping on server reset/crash or the car shifting for no reason. These are just the ones I've experienced I guess. The main problem is if you get a car running and you are playing alone, you get one of the bugs and someone was following you or chasing you, You're car is gone because of forces out of your control.

Happens on low pop too the only difference is if you are driving a car or something, You don't have to worry about a queue.

well people don't care about their mic quality because they don't have to hear themselves, I play with people who mics echo or they have sound going through the tv. It drives me mental.

yep thats the game, I was on a low pop yesterday in the middle of the wilderness and a guy just walks out into the middle of the road , fully geared and starts shooting at me. I was wondering where the heck he came from because there's no loot he would need over there by the shore , unless he has a base over there but it was just such a weird scene, I ran into 1 of the 10 people, and I wasn't even geared, just walking around.

The guns exist, The first day of reset I seen them but I use to frequent a low pop server that ranges to medium on occasion , which use to be high before 1.04 and right now we hit mill bases every day, and not one Full auto ar in any of these places , with a server that averages like 10- 11 people usually. Which kinda blows my mind because its like where are all of the guns on that server? and when you run into people they usually have a sk or something else.

Theres no button, unfortunately, I'm sorry. Maybe next patch or update , we will have the option.
