u want nbc infected in the random dynamic gas events? i dunno how they would magically spawn in when a gasbomb drops and how u would configure that. adding nbc infected via the zombie_territories.xml all over the possible places might be the only way. but they would be there no matter if theres gas or not. -

thanks for another update! i really dont care about any new weapons anymore. what im really waiting for: please have an overlook over the CLE. make civilian weapons more common compared to high tier weapons. remove shotguns from tier1 and maybe even from tier2 zones. same with the sniper rifles. right now u can find a double-barrel shotgun and a mosin within minutes at the coast. theres no need then to pick up any smgs (ump, skorpion, mp5) or small rifles like the repeater or the izh. the sporter has no use in the game now. people wont pick up the repeater as .357 seems to be the most rare ammo type. the sks and all assault rifles should only spawn in tier3 and tier4 zones. make high tier loot in general more rare; like suppressors, high caliber rounds, high/best insulation clothing, big backpacks, vests etc.. u can get all this in tier1. also: no weapon should spawn pristine. please add the remaining weapons to the cfgspawnabletypes.xml including a less chance to spawn with their attachments. talking bout backpacks and vest: please.... why we have so much inventory space? we can carry half a dozen of weapons easily. we can carry truck batteries in our pants or in the assault vest. why has the assault vest inventory slots anyway? please reduce this massively - how about adding slings for rifles instead - u would need those to carry them on your shoulder. or give us 1 or 2 attachments slots for backpacks instead. how it is now: u dont have to make a choice what to carry... u just pick everything up... reduce canned food massively, remove it completly from tier3 and tier4. theres so many other options to get food, but apparently there is no need for hunting, fishing or setting traps at all, which is a shame. vehicles should be some kind of endgame - there spawn too many and the chance it spawns with a good amount of needed parts is too high. have the parts attached to the car been locked by default. have batteries spawn empty, so maybe the battery charger finally has some purpose. and like derleth said: some communication would be nice, specially if u teased us sth like half a year ago and never mention it again. whats with the bow? books and notes? arma reforger just launched and i see many things dayz would profit from. do we get any of this features apart from the vehicle simulation?

sounds like a bad server setup. vehicles will only despawn when the engine is ruined.

thats exactly how its intended. can still use the magic hotkeys. i would like they go a step further - if u wanna grab sth out of your backpack, u simply cant while its on your back. hotleys also shouldnt work when sth is deep in your inventory.

dunno about xbox, but on pc it was never possible to move non-empty barrels without using mods. maybe they fixed this for console now. and it makes sense to empty the barrel before u are able to move it (weight).

i cant agree more. the amount of heavy/big items we are able to carry (and have quick access to, even if stored in your backpack) is ridiculous. -
since some updates (1.15?) we have a config in our missionfolder to adjust some server settings easily: cfggameplay.json i guess this file overrites whats written in the server config. have a look, u can adjust night/light settings, stamina, hit indicators, basebuild settings and some other stuff.

ofc its lame to torture other players, but for sure not more lame than constant kos. i dont have evidence, as there is no poisoning in the game right now. fact is, the game HAD poisoning and people used it back in the day. i still remember some of this encounters after all this years.... this are the moments of dayz u wont forget. getting held up by a bunch of fools, shit talking, torturing u, but in the end u come out alive and maybe have a great adventure afterwards. people remember this interactions, but for sure not their 767th kill at a guy drinking from a water pump. i think u dramatize the kuru effect a bit too much. its hardly used by the players, specially compared to weapon usage. i dont think thats a fair comparsion.

+ theres already a legacy version of .62 running on some community servers. i actually like the changes they did to chernarus. niznoye, prison island or the ski resort are really a nice addition. if people talk about the "old" cheranrus, its mainly people missing the old simple airfield.

well the same argument can be used to remove all weapons.... and it really doesnt matter if kuru is medical accurate to real life. its a game. we actually need more possibilities, like we had back in the day. people love torturing other players. there definitely was way less kos mentality, and i believe poisoned food was a factor for this.

old "steyr aug" use google, i cant post links in this forum the new "aug a1" ^as above they look very similar. i dunno how the recoil was back then, but one thing is for sure: the weapon handling feels like COD nowadays sadly. so im all good with more weapon recoil. edit: removed links to display my post edit 2: ok, its still hidden, whatever

they only despawn when the engine is ruined. unless u use some admin tools to spawn them in - then its just a lifetime of a few seconds until a player isnt nearby.

u already announced your departure from the game in september. what happend that made u come back to make another announcement? its weird. good luck with the next dayz killer. we had already some of those.

if its such a big deal with the spaggies servers, maybe consider reading their server rules, this will help a lot: www. spaggie dot com / server-rules (cant write it out, as this forum will block posts with links in it, but u will figure it out or a simple google search works great too).

thats just not true. spaggies have a steady player base. both chernarus servers are full right now. https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/dayz/11101505 https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/dayz/10658603 i have a fair amount of hours on multiply spaggie servers and never had any questionable moments.

only way is to configure that pbo file. i dunno which one is used, i never messed with them. but those things can just be run as server mod, where the client doesnt need it. maybe try to contact that admin from the server?

when client and server are out sync. while you think u carry a weapon in your hands, its actually a broom u try to shoot with.

"why do u add a broom on fire, instead of fixing the handslot-bug (or whatever my main concern is with the game)?" this is coming from people that follow the game and its development for many years and put in thousands of hours into it. adding a fire effect for a broom vs. fixing one of the most complex bugs in the game. peoples expectations are just WAAAAAAAAY too high. its the same moaning for over 3 years now. u KNOW how complex the game is. u KNOW theres just a few devs, u KNOW this is an half-baked hybrid of an engine. different devs have different jobs and skills. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? adding no content at all, just to focus on only bug fixing wont speed-up the progress. that dev adding a fire effect for the broom in an hour, wont be able to fix the handslot bugs or vehicle physics....
