    Xbox Update 04/02/2019

Take sharp stick to hand, go to meat, "B" to combine. Nothing has changed.

    Xbox Update 04/02/2019

From NewsWeek. Yeah, I know. It's not a tech pub, but they still reported it. https://www.newsweek.com/dayz-xbox-one-update-patch-notes-new-cr-527-sk-5966-server-fixes-1317658

Considering that the article specifically stated "DayZ Xbox One Patch Notes: New Update Adds Weapons, Fixes Server Performance Issues and More"......yeah, upsetting.

    Xbox Update 04/02/2019

I have read in SEVERAL articles that the SKS and CZ rifle were added, along with a hunting scope. Is that true or no?

Xbox Feedback Round - January 2019

The reloading dynamic needs fixed still. Let's take the shotgun as an example.......I still have to "combine" multiple times to initially load the mag tube. After that, "y" USUALLY will reload it, but sometimes will STILL cycle through my quick menu. It's a big pain in the ass when I'm trying to outrun zeds and reload, only to turn and have to punch one with by binoculars or some junk.

I had a bug (no sneezing or coughing. Just puking) and an IV cured it.

It would be nice just to lt bumper and rt bumper to look while sprinting. If you need to sprint away because you're being shot at (happened to me the other night), there is NO WAY to visually track someone.

Did the game ran out of weapons?

NEVER found a Scorpion. As for 7.62X54R, I find it in the most innocuous places. Lots of times, I find them in the bottom of the open bookcases of the split level style houses, and believe it or not, in the corner cafes in the larger cities. Of course, the best way to get them is off of military zombies.

Did the game ran out of weapons?

This is a snippet from your original post - "Or maybe the people complaining about lack of guns are salty because they don't have an assault rifles within ten minutes of spawn?" How's that for a clue? Nobody cares about the commonality of guns in the UK. The setting in the game isn't the UK. I do, however, apologize for turning this into some pissing contest. That wasn't my intent. I DO agree with you that too many people do in fact gripe about the scarcity of certain weapons.......I am one of them, to THIS point - if people are screwing up the central loot economy because of "duping", a.k.a. CHEATING, then that's where I have an issue. If I am simply "late to the party", so to speak, and someone snatches up a gun before me.....well, I guess that's what I get for having a job and not getting to play until 6 or 7 pm.

    Xbox Update 14/01/2019

I had the hardest time finding mine. I have actually only found 2 in the 3 months I've been playing the game, one of which being last night. I was about to give up on my search and meet a friend a couple towns over, but decided to check one last hunting cabin.....BINGO! Sitting right there on a chair.

Did the game ran out of weapons?

Don't make this some geo-political issue of the freedoms of the U.S. and British socialism. I am not "salty" because I can't find a military grade weapon (no such thing as an "assault weapon") within a hour of spawning. I am salty because after a week or two of traversing the map back and forth, and not finding one IN A MILITARY BASE or POLICE STATION. I actually find more pistols, shotguns, and Mosins outside the large cities in the smaller towns. Nobody said anything about jumping in to DayZ for "gunfights" either. I, through numerous posts, have actually complained about those that do nothing BUT start gunfights. Actual player interaction is more rare than a military weapon. Also, DayZ requires more dedication than an hour here and there. To get any actual results from the game, one needs to set aside at least 2-3 hours per session. IMO.
  12. Some will, unfortunately, see your post as nothing but whining. I, however, understand where you are coming from. I agree wholeheartedly on the "instant gratification" you point out. I don't agree with the spawning in with a rudimentary stone knife, soda, and food either. As for guns, I think they are a little TOO RARE atm. Military weapons especially, as they should be. HOWEVER, if you brave a mil base, and are able to not get destroyed by zombies or a pack of wolves, give up an AK at least as a reward, and not just a pair of tactical gloves, tac vest, and a can of bacon. Just the other day, after our regular server had an apparent wipe, we lost our camp of two large tents, one small tent, two barrels, one SVD, two AKs, a couple of handguns, and TONS of medical supplies and venison steaks. All was left was our car. Okay, that's the breaks. Just grind it out again. So, off we go in our car. We find other car parts and jerricans. We come across another car. SWEET! We fix it up, now we have two. We find some camo netting, a genny, and a couple of other camp necessities. We are taking our two cars across the map to pick up our friend on the coast that died earlier, and out of nowhere, another car passes us. What are the odds, right? Well, they stopped IMMEDIATELY, jumped out, and LIT.....US......UP. Needless to say, we all died. No reason. Just a couple of d-bags with nothing better to do. They may have just been defending their camp, assuming that it was near, but everyone seems to be SO EAGER to KoS, and completely eliminate the personal interaction aspect of the game. What it has done is sour ME, and brings me to the conclusion that I, too, must now KoS. I run with a group of guys from Nova Scotia. They are good friends. I never would have the experience I am having now if I, or THEY for that matter, just decided to shoot first. Those that KoS are only playing HALF of the game.

Did the game ran out of weapons?

The problem with your analysis is....this is NOT a "combat" game. It's a SURVIVAL simulator. Sure, combat in an inevitable part of the simulation, but what is the purpose of some a-hole wasting their ammo killing some fresh spawn on the coast? I highly doubt it's because they want that ONE soda and ONE apple they are carrying. They are obviously not a threat, and the chances of that player stumbling across your camp or stash or whatever is slim. Chances are, they'll get killed by zombies before that. Anyhow, I understand that military style weapons are, and SHOULD, be rare, but even common firearms like the shotgun are now scarce. It would make it a little less "painful" if they would hurry up and put OTHER weapons in the game like the Scorpion or even the more common SKS. With only three different pistols (IJ, FX, and CR), two submachine guns, and four rifles (M4, AK, Mosin, and BK18), pickins are slim to none. Yes, I know there is the SVD (or VSD), but the only way you'll find one of those is at a crash site, and the BK133 shotgun is pretty much non-existent at the moment. Screwdrivers, crowbars, lead pipes, wrenches, and lug wrenches serve no other purpose than a melee weapon, and THAT system is broke as all get out.

    Central Loot Economy

I have a question about the DayZ central loot economy, or CLE. From what I am to understand, the CLE dictates the "number of instances" items are available in the game. In other words, there will only be a set number of items in any one instance, or server, at any one time. So my question is this........do all the cheaters in the game that dupe their inventory affect the CLE? The reason I ask is because there are absolutely ZERO M4s and AKs to be found. I understand that they are a rarity, as it should be, but I have stayed at the Mil base in Tisy through MULTIPLE server restarts, and ZERO weapons, maybe with the exception of the occasional submachine gun or FX-45 are to be had. I can find ammo and mags til the cows come home, but they are worthless without something to chuck the bullets. Hell, it took me searching every single cabin across the northern part of the map before I found a Mosin, then twice as long to find any 7.62x54R, and with a little persistence and A LOT OF PATIENCE, I finally found a PU scope for it. Now, I am quite content with the Mosin. Mighty fine, and accurate, weapon. I wouldn't mind using it exclusively, that is if I could even find some FLIPPIN' BURLAP to make a guille, but even THAT is almost non-existent.

    Xbox Update 14/01/2019

Personally, I think the available (current and planned) military weapons are sufficient . As far as the SCAR H goes, I think we would be better served having the Winchester bolt rifle. Both are .308 (7.62 NATO). I'm quite fond of the Mosin. Just wish the PU scope was just a little easier to find.

    Xbox Update 14/01/2019

For CRYING OUT LOUD! You are NOT going to get a "kill camera". THIS IS A SURVIVAL GAME, NOT AN FPS LIKE BF OR COD. You are not going to get a kill cam. You are not going to get floating gamer tags. I really wish I could go to a forum topic where someone DOESN'T want to make DayZ just another run-and-gun fps. I have said it countless times before to countless other posters........THIS IS A SURVIVAL SIMULATOR.

Xbox Feedback Round - January 2019

In the real world, if someone kills you, would you know their name? DayZ is a SIMULATOR, not a shooter like BF and CoD.

I with you, with one other.........the whole helicopter thing. Boats I can see, but not helicopters. The ONLY way I can see, or should I say AGREE, as far as helicopters go is that you would need to scavenge EVERY......SINGLE......LAST.......PART, from an engine to transmission to rotor blades to drive shafts, etc. If you want a helicopter, it would have to take A LOT OF WORK, and the parts would be EXTREMELY SCARCE.

Xbox Feedback Round - January 2019

I know it's been addressed SOMEWHERE in this forum, but I'll ask anyway............I know that since the update, we are now able to rack the shotgun and cycle the bolt on the Mosin. As far as I am aware (I haven't used one since the update), the shotgun will load 5 shells when you combine the gun and shells, but I (and I HAVE tried the Mosin since the update) still have to drop the 7.62x54R rounds on the ground in order to fully load the Mosin. Am I missing something here? Am I just an idiot, or did THAT issue NOT get fixed?

Xbox Feedback Round - January 2019

I went 48 hours without interacting with my camp, and everything was still there. I don't know what the actual persistence time is, but all you need to do is log in, interact with your base or camp, and the "clock" resets.

Xbox Feedback Round - January 2019

My point is......friendly fire is a real-world issue, as it should be in DayZ. I ALMOST killed a friend because he changed his headgear and he didn't relay that little tidbit of otherwise crucial information to me.

Xbox Feedback Round - January 2019

I've tried to explain this to other posters.........DayZ is a simulator of sorts, hence the "permadeath". In real life, you wouldn't know who killed you, and you sure as heck couldn't simply "respawn". Be thankful you can at least do that. If you are fortunate enough to SEE who killed you, try and remember either what they were dressed in or what their voice sounded like (assuming you talked to them first), respawn and a go back to where they killed you. I have found that most players are pretty territorial, and won't stray far.

Tactical and assault helmets will NOT stop a heavy caliber round in reality, so why would it do it here? They are meant to create angles, so if you are lucky, perhaps the projectile might "glance off" as opposed to taking one to the dome. In that case, the helmet would be ruined, you would probably take a little damage, but you'd be alive.......at least until the next shot hits you.
