The best way to stop duping is with character locked servers, but the devs say they won't do it and a bunch of whiny snowflakes get all butt-hurt every time you mention it.

Yay. This should be REAL fun now......thrown explosives implemented into the game and still no definitive answer to the duping issue. Now we'll have 40 or 50 players running around with 20 grenades. I thought DayZ was supposed to be focused more on the SURVIVAL aspect and NOT the combat aspect. Just to be clear, I couldn't give a rat's butt about finding weapons like AKs and M4s. Although it would be nice to stumble across one on occasion, there are plenty of SKS and Mosins to go around. What I DO care about is the lack of other items like vests, military backpacks, and tents, all of which have been MASSIVELY duped, and items that give tactical advantages such as night vision scopes, that are hard to find as well, again due to the duping problem.

Let's fix what's broken FIRST, then we can talk about the mox-nix shit.

Quick answer......those DayZ console players that are ruining the game are immature, over-weight, unemployed, government teat suckling virgins that sit inside all day long to the point to where their skin is practically transparent from the lack of exposure to natural light. They got bored with CoD after achieving their 100th prestige and BF is no longer fun for them after breaking their own KD ratio of 50 to 1.

I have a feeling that IF the duping issue gets resolved, those that duped will not play anymore considering that they won't be able to cheat.

I have one question, though.......what is the fastest way to "despawn" items? Sure, you can load up a backpack full of shit and run it out into the woods, but that's 4 hours of it sitting around before anything happens. I know that weapons would despawn if you were holding them then surrendered, but I don't know if that was ever fixed....so if NOT, does that work for anything being held in your hands and surrendering?

If you were CEO, you would do what was beneficial to the INVESTORS. With all the complaining about the game, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if BI just says "FUCK IT" and pulls the plug on the whole thing, and gives everyone that bought it for the platforms a $10 gift card to Appleby's or something.

The OP already said that his rant was meant for XBOX version only, so why are you bringing up the PC version?

The rampant KoSing has made ME a little sour. I find myself doing it more myself. It's crappy, but through my experience in the game, nice guys die (that would be ME....usually). Go with your gut. If something seems "off", it probably is. Sometimes, though, you gotta have faith. One thing IS for sure.....I give a player about 5 seconds to talk. If not... I shoot.

It's not just the "top end" gear. I am fine not rocking an M4 or AK. An LAR or SVD at a crash site every now and again would be nice, but I digress. I am perfectly fine with my SKS and scoped CR-527, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't mind not finding a Tundra. I have searched probably the entire map, and have found one...ONE......box of .308, so even if I did find one, can't find ammo for it. As far as gear, though....it would be nice to find something other than mountain backpacks. I found a large field pack ONLY after looting a player base, and FINALLY found a tactical vest. Plate carrier? Nope. Butt-pack? Nu-huh. Ammo pouches or molle holster? Zip. Tents? Only if I come across them out in the woods (not a biggie. I've been coming across a lot of them lately) It just seems that here lately ANY items with the exception of some canned food and seed packs, and maybe your occasional roll of duct tape are almost impossible to find. Sure, it makes when you DO find it even that more sweet, but to go through two or three big towns to find just one sewing kit? Come on, man. Bottom line is....duping NEEDS to be addressed and fixed, or I have a feeling that the days of high pop servers will be a thing of the past.

What IS interesting, exciting, and a bit edgy is roaming a mil site at night and seeing a lit road flare on the ground in the distance. Is the dude still there? Is it a trap? Is he geared and dead somewhere close because the zeds got him? That'll get your heart pumping. No boredom there.

Not meaning to sound like a smart-ass, as that's not my intention at all, but you also have the option of PLAYING. With that said.....once there are some critical issues fixed, watches would be a cool addition. Another option is maybe have "local time" indicated on the server list.

I hear that a sledge hammer works also. Don't know it that's true or not.

Play in FPP and you won't have that problem 🙂

If the gamertag thing is true, I hope that's NOT something that gets implemented on the XBox.
