Pfffffft. I personally don't care about "achievements". A) you don't get anything for them anyway (not that it matters), and B) I thought surviving was what we are trying to achieve?

I would say most play for the PvE. PvP is a part of it, but if you strictly want PvP, go play BF or PUBG.

For instance, right now I have a CR527 mag in a barrel, and I want the rounds in it for my AK. I cannot get it out, even after 3 server restarts and numerous log out/log ins.

Hit and miss for us. Sometimes logging out and in would work. Sometimes I would be able to take the item, but if I drop it, my crew can't see it, and vice-versa. It DOES need to get fixed, tho. The method I stated above DOES work tho. An inconvenience? Absolutely.

Find a large shed. There, fixed it for ya😁

I've done that. That doesn't always work. But, the server I play on resets every 12 hours, so it's not that big of a deal.

That's why I play in private servers now. If they log out, just wait........they'll be back.

Invincible zombies and shots not registering is a result of you having a desyncing problem.

One work around is to NOT "swap" items from your hand with something in the inventory. This will result in your original item getting locked until the next reset. Another thing you can do is drop items in the vicinity, then put them in the inventory. Now, a word to the wise.........unless you think you can code this game better, perhaps you should not be such b-hole when complaining about a problem.

THIS HAS BEEN TESTED AND CONFIRMED (by myself) - If you press 'A' to swap an item in your inventory with something in the inventory of a storage container (barrel, tent, etc), that item that you swapped CAN get "locked" into the storage container, and you will be unable to retrieve it. Logging out then back in did NOT fix it. You CAN, however, retrieve that item after a server reset. In an post yesterday, I mentioned this issue and if anyone else has had the same problem. I tested that theory by attempting to swap an apple from MY inventory with some shotgun shells that were in a barrel. After I swapped, I could not retrieve the apple. I then swapped the shotgun shells, which were now in my hands, with a roll of duct tape from the barrel. Now I had the duct tape in my hands, but NOW the shot shells AND the apple were "locked". After the server reset last night, I went back to the barrel, and I was able to retrieve the apple and the shells. So, until this bug gets fixed, I would suggest that you PLACE items into whatever container, THEN pick up whatever you need, and avoid "swapping" items.

I didn't think vits did anything. I had to patch myself up after a zed hit me, but I didn't have any alcohol or disinfectant, so I have a bug. No amount of anything has gotten rid of it yet. I didn't take any charcoal, though. I wouldn't think that it would help for an infected wound.

If not already known, shoes and boots can be repaired with a leather sewing kit.......assuming you catch it BEFORE they get ruined.

We started playing in a private server, and, so far, these issues haven't come up. We found two AKs at Troitskoe in less than 2 minutes, assault vests, grenades, and plentiful ammo. The beauty of a private server is admins can ban (technically from Discord and change the server password) cheaters. Haven't run across other bases yet, so we don't know if duping is an issue here yet. If you find a base, however, that has 20 M4s in it, then they ARE duping, as there are only supposed to be like 10 or 15 TOTAL in existence on the server, from what I understand.

Not quite on the subject, but also make sure you don't accidentally defibrilate yourself. A buddy of mine did that....HILLARIOUS!!!!!!! In case you don't know, the only way to bring them back to is to zap them again and perform CPR.

There were a couple questions I want to ask, and I hope I can get a relatively unbiased opinion/response. I was thinking about renting a server in the future, but I was going to wait and see if other options were going to become available. One question, are there tools such as white/black lists and the option to be able to track players on the server that are accused of cheating or otherwise breaking server rules. As far as I can see, the only real tools there are are day/night cycle settings. I would like to eventually have, probably, a 50 slot server. I would have it set up to where you would basically have to apply for clan ship, with info such as number of members and armband color (don't want to have multiple clans with the same color), players in the server would have an option of being in a group or being "independents", militia for hire, or what have you. Another question is, are the server options a part of DayZ, or does that fall on Nitrado's shoulders?

I and another dude are in the process of trying to get an Olga going now, and it hasn't despawned yet (knock on wood). We are just short one tire, and we're in business.

At the moment....no. You can stop and use them as you would binoculars (without zoom of course), but they can't be worn and you can't move while using them. I would suspect that the issue will be resolved in 1.05......I hope.

That's because the option ISN'T AVAILABLE on console. How it's done on PC is irrelevant.
