Again, and I don't know how else to get the point across, I am merely taking a non-scientific poll. Answer it or don't. I don't care. Just asking a question. It's not like if there where 100,000 votes for YES that BI would do anything about it anyway.
-
There's 219,000 users on the forum. Not TOO dead it would seem. Anyway, I'm just posing a question, nothing more.

I believe it is YOU that lacks reading comprehension skills. I am all for locked servers, so much so that I even posted a poll asking who is FOR and who is AGAINST having a percentage of servers locked. MY attitude is nonchalant because I don't waste my time building bases because ghosting is an issue due to servers not being locked. I am nonchalant because I don't use glitches or exploits. I am nonchalant because the server I normally play isn't affected. The ones that are whining the most are the ones that spent all their time cheating the game and other players. BTW, good start. Your first post, and you are already deflecting.

Haven't come across a lot on the west side except an occasional medium tent back in the woods. I have seen more along the northern border, making access to cities like Novaya Petrovka and mil bases like Troitskoe more accessible. Couple that with the trails and logging roads that run almost all the way north, that makes driving a car all the way up easier as well.

WOW! I can't believe some of the reactions I've read. During the game preview, there were 120, 130-something servers to start with and not a peep from anyone on that subject that I'm aware of. Base building, albeit cool, is a waste of time anyway. There are NUMEROUS posts spread across this forum stating just that. If you wasted your time building walls, towers, and barriers, well.....that's on you. You were warned. Now, this is just my opinion, but I think that the majority of the people complaining are the very same ones that are causing all the problems to start with (a.k.a. DUPERS). If that IS the case, and all the butt-hurt dupers are saying they're going to stop playing and uninstall the game...GREAT! As for the rest of us that travel lightly and are minimalists (i.e. I have ONE medium tent) and can pick up and move......ain't no skin off our nose.

There was only one time I ran into someone at NWAF without exchanging gunfire, but I think that was because we caught eachother off guard, and there were 3 of us and 2 of them.
-
Well, if that's the deal, I may have to check it out. I haven't had a chance to experience the RP part of the game due to just trying to avoid KoSers and the PUBG mentality folk. So how does one get in on that action?
-
I believe that this COULD be the result of those being duped weapons. Kind of like making a copy of a copy, where the copy of the copy isn't as good as the copy of the original. Like I said, I'm kinda spit-balling, but I think I read it somewhere.
-
It's like having Kool-Aid but no sugar or ham but no burger...........they're relatively useless without an AK or SVD to put them on. You can use it as a spotting scope, but that's about it.

I do believe that backpack persistence is 4 hours.

I'm privy to a black cowboy hat myself. I have a brown one at the moment....can't find a black one. I'll keep looking, thought. As far as everything else.......I agree. Duping is indeed a pisser, and although I will still complain about it, I have adapted. At the moment, I'm sporting an SKS with a PU scope, the CR-527 with a hunting scope, and a silenced pistol (for the Zeds, but they still hear it), and I couldn't be happier. Now, I would LOVE to find a TUNDRA, but I haven't even found any .308 ammo yet, so either or would be pointless without the other. I RARELY go to Mil bases anymore. If I do, it's to find camo netting, and if I'm fortunate enough to find a military tent, then great (I would prefer a medium tent anyway. Easier to hide). I will always hit the small mil camps as they usually hold fair amounts of ammo and the occasional tactical vest or plate carrier/accessories. Where it DOES become an issue for the rest of us, though, is the night vision scope is only good on the AK and SVD, and as it has been admitted to, are "duped into extinction". That puts US and a HUGE disadvantage, and I can guarantee you this, when NVGs get introduced to XBox, those too will be duped into extinction, and that will put US, again, at even a bigger disadvantage. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for an "even playing field" when I say that, I'm just saying that once the cheaters steal all THOSE via duping, you have to admit that it is "unfair".

Okay, then I'm not crazy.

Another issue I have run into (and let me know if you have experienced it) is if I'm in my inventory and EQUIP the rifle I'm holding, I have to left or right bumper before I can scroll down.
-
My advice to you.....get use to it. 99.99% of the players I run into shoot first.
-
I have no choice but to take your word for it, BUT, I'll believe it when I see it for myself. If/when I do, I'll let you know.
-
It may be a futile outlook on your part, but I do like your "glass half full" attitude.
-
Hence server locked characters. I know that's a sore subject for some, but it's the only solution.
-
Wow.....I didn't even know it was an item on the console.
-
I run with an SKS, a CR527, and a crappy .380 suppressed pistol, and I'm fine with it. Besides, I use my guns for DEFENSE, and I'd like to keep it like that. But, here lately, others are making it harder to do so, and I am compelled to shoot first if I have the drop on them.

If there is one thing the game doesn't need right now is another vehicle or strawberry jam. Let's work on the "duping", THEN we can concentrate on inane things.
-
I am not sure if someone stole mine or if it despawned. I have been busy and unable to play for upwards of a week or so, and when I finally got a chance to play, my tent was gone. Amazing, really. It was place in such an innocuous location in a clump of heavy trees that the ONLY way it could have been found was by pure dumb luck. Anyway, I accepted it for what it was and decided to head off to Tisy. As luck would have it, I stumbled across someone's neglected tent, and appropriated it. As you run through the woods, scan the area. I find FPP and ZOOMED works the best. I don't think I would have ever seen that blue tent tucked in the woods if I hadn't.

Developers cater to people with no life outside of this game

Merely making a point that everyone wants easy access to military grade weapons in a game that is meant to be hard. If you can't see that, that's your fault. -
99.9% of the time, I'm inland as well. I may venture south or east and look for bases to raid at night, maybe take a few pop-shots, but that's about it.

So basically what you're saying is, you want the game to be easier. Am I correct in that assumption? News flash......the game is meant to be hard. You want easy access to military grade weapons, then play BF or CoD where you can "level up" and seek the almighty "Prestige".
