So until it gets patched as long as you keep cooked meats in your inventory you'll still get wet but your health doesn't go down. I keep a cooked piece of human meat in each of my bits of clothing. Since doing this, the weather doesn't have the same effect.

Yes, I've had friends scattered all over the map, it starts to rain at the same time everywhere, finishes at the same time everywhere, all at the same pace. Confirmed via party chat. The only difference is, sometimes some players see things at different intervals. There are some inconsistencies. For example, we often hear thunder at different times to each other even though we're stood next to each other. The same applies to wolf howling, often one of our party hears them 10 seconds before another does.

So the simple mechanic you mention in your original post actually worked all along, when really the issue was your own lack of knowledge. I even told you in another thread, firewood, small sticks and bark. Combine them and you have a fire. Literally takes seconds.

Overall moving around for me has become so tiring now because of these frame rate issues. The other day it was so bad that I started to feel travel / motion sickness. I had to stop playing. Funnily enough, if I dont move and observe trees and bushes moving in the wind they're very smooth. It's just the frame rate of moving around that's atrocious.

1. No, weather and time of day are unique to each server. 2. Approximately 42 days, that's the advice which has always done the rounds. It's the same for base walls etc, you must interact with anything every 42 days or they begin to despawn. 3. I haven't found one yet, but of my friends, nobody liked it anyway.

I'd still rather have the tan ghillie instead of the green. The tan works much better in chernarus than the green on the more autumnal forest flooring. The green ghillie is more suited to Livonia, imo.

Sometimes some tents just get bugged and the prompt to take them down doesn't appear. I've come across a few that wont lower at all. Months on, they're still there. As long as the tent storage is empty, it should be possible to take it down unless its bugged.

Eh ? Really ? It's so simple. Cut down a bush using a knife, collect the large stick and small sticks. Cut down another bush, collect the firewood. Then cut some tree bark off a nearby tree. Combine tree bark with firewood to create a campfire. You can literally put a campfire anywhere, on the beach, in a house, on the grass, in a forest, on a rooftop, anywhere !

For me the FPS drop isnt as big an issue as the game instantly locking up and freezing the moment you log in. Since the latest patch, it's taking me on average 20 minutes of launching the game, loading into server, instant game lock up / freeze, force close game, rinse and repeat 6 or 7 times before being able to actually play. Very frustrating.

Same issues here since the patch. Frame rate on the whole i perceive is less than 24fps. Running through forests and towns in worst.

Lighting a fire doesn't work ? I've been cooking meat and drying clothing on a fire for months and it works very fell. I doubt you've even tried, or just haven't a clue how to make one. I think right there in one statement you've exposed your limited experience with the game. Literally, search youtube, theres lots of videos showing you how to make a fire. And you can disagree all you want, the point is the night is now far too light. Not every night is moonlit in reality, but it is in Dayz. Darkness in Dayz now isnt dark, it's just turns the brightness down, changes the sky to a darker texture etc. Its not actually simulated darkness which is was before the patch. I'm guessing you probably live in a city with lots of street lights and probably haven't ventured into the wilds at night. Do so, on a night where the moon is not out, you'll see why Dayz was true to reality.

Crashing as soon as you join a server, trying to get into games is getting ridiculous. Writing this now, on my 6th attempt. 15 seconds to load in. Let's see what happens... Finally in. 6th attempt is very poor. Come on BI why is nobody testing these updates before release ?

That's because there isnt any decent ones due to dupers. One thing though, to dupe a weapon you do need one to dupe from. If dupers cant find them to start with they cant dupe them. We've also recently discovered a way of stashing guns in the ground without a pile of dirt visible on screen. We're not even hardcore gamers and we found it by accident. So now we're certain dupers will know what we know and will be using the same places to stash their gear. We're going server to server searching the same places for these ultra invisible stashes.

Really ? Almost everyone I come across in the game has NVGs. I dont think they're limited in spawn amounts, our group has about 12 spare sets of NVGs in our stashes. The problem now, is you can just turn the brightness up on your tv and its almost daylight. My friend was building part of our base earlier in the dark without even needing his NVGs anymore. Also, night times are far too bright WITH night vision, now theres hardly any shadows making depth perception hard when looking into forests etc.

EU DE 4445 the FPS drops constantly, worst in forests, houses or cities. General running around isnt as smooth as it was before the update.

Night time is ruined now imo. We're playing a game set in a cold section of Russia, which is similar in climate to where I live. When its night time in the countryside near me and there is no light pollution from towns, it is far too dark to see, more so in forests. Only on moonlit nights are you able to see like in Dayz. Now, since the patch every night is moonlit and almost twilight. Now I dont even need NVG anymore. It's a shame and I hope BI reverse this decision, because for me night time was base raiding time, but now it's just the same as night time in any other game, serves no purpose and just a cycle of cosmetics.

Lighter night times ? It's not lighter, it's almost daylight! What is the point of it ? Have we really succumbed to the pressure of snowflake moaning gamers who are scared of playing the game through the nights ? Please change it back. The nights were the most exciting part of dayz for most of the time. Now they're no more threatening than any other game, just there as part of a cycle and affects game play purely as cosmetic than a tactical part of survival. Disappointing.

We always play on public servers, because we enjoy the excitement of the PVP on sight. The key to beating dupers, is finding their stashes. Recently we raided someone's base and found about 16+ end game assault rifles, including 4x LAR, 4x KA 47, 4x KA 74 and a few other shotguns and about 12 pairs of NVG. A lot of them we threw in the sea, as we really dont have the need for them, so they would respawn. Hopefully if we got all of their stash, theres a higher chance of them respawning for real.

Try wringing your clothes out also, it helps them dry faster and the effects of being wet lessen on your person.

Must have to admit, I've never had such killer issues. I love this game, worth every penny !

Multivitamins also seem to have a good effect. It depends on the bug you contract. Sometimes tetracycline pills work, sometimes they don't. Charcoal tablets also help. The best way to avoid such problems is to not eat raw meat, rotten fruit, etc. Things you wouldn't do in real life why would do them in the game ?

For me the biggest killer in the game right now is rain. If you're caught in a sudden thunder storm the cold and wet drain your calories and health quicker than running around. I've come so close to dying even on my fully geared characters that now whenever it rains we wait the storm out inside a building. Rain and being wet drains your calories so quickly it's easy to starve to death if you've no food on you after an extended period in the rain. To me it's more dangerous than coming face to face with another geared player.
