I know it's a simple idea, yet seems far too harshly implemented. First of all it means you're stuck on the same server forever playing the other 59 people who are also stuck with playing on that one server. It means you're going to be meeting the same 59 people every time you have another player encounter. They'll also get used to seeing the routes you take, where you stop for water or build a base etc. Or, sometimes a server will freak out and lag like mad (like 5 seconds lag to open a door after you press square is a big time delay) so being able to just swap to another server to avoid it is just silly. Or, when I got farted out of a server then other day I was playing with a friend on I rejoined and was miles away through no fault of my own ! Why couldn't they just change it from what it's currently set to, to say no further than 500m ? Or 1km ? But 5km+ run everytime a server shuts down is simply silly. It's annoying all my friends more than anything else in the game because we just want the ease of being able to meet quickly. Prior to 1.04, we would log in at similar times or if not, not wander more than 1km away from where we logged out as a team. Anyway, rant over, it's just made the game unnecessarily awkward for people with a destination in mind or wishing to meet with friends.

Surely with all the best loot duped and the servers will only let so many on a server at once stops them spawning? Me and my group dont dupe, but we've killed tons of dupers so we've got lots of rare items buried and have noticed the items we're holding dont spawn anywhere now, either helicopter crash sites or military bases.

True, I get more kills with knives than I do larger weapons. Some guy killed me recently beating me with his fists, i had an axe, yet he beat me even though he seemed to be bleeding from every limb. Bizarre logic.

So, on to my 4th character I headed north from Cherno, visited a few spots and looted my way all the way to the military base in the woods north of Severograd. Suddenly my mate joins my server, I didnt know he bought the game. I spent another hour running south to meet him eventually at an abandoned gas station. After a few near misses as we began our adventure together. We settled down in a small village for the night in a house nearby a water well. We'd spent nearly an hour in the house reloading magazines, repairing our gear and sorting our inventories out which were becoming confusing. We were chatting in party chat, I'd minimised the game to change some settings when suddenly my friend said someone was outside the house !! I'd not seen another player for 3 days so I thought he was joking, I went back to the game and immediately saw a flashlight in the tree opposite the house we were in. It went out and the faint outline of a person wearing night vision goggles with 3 white dots reflecting in the moonlight was looking straight at us. Scared we were about to be rushed, we hit the floor hiding under the windows and came out of party chat. We starting talking out loud to warn off the person(s) watching us. I saw the torch light once more and then we had the most disturbing 15 minutes of our Dayz experience so far waiting for an attack. Daybreak came, whoever it was had gone. But they left us feeling very nervous that when we thought we were safe under the cover of darkness in fact someone had been watching us probably the whole time. To be watched and possibly preyed on was as I can only put it, in game terrifying !

Great feedback and reassuring that us PS4 gamers aren't missing out on much. I do struggle to find other players myself, in fact it's been 4 real days of gameplay since I past saw another player and that was at the start in cherno.

Players warping ? Surely that's a personal internet connection issue, I've not had that but I know its caused by poor connection to the server.

I must admit this is my main issue with ps4 Dayz. Often looking through my hunter scope on my rifle, the distant object render in so slowly, often grey textureless 3D models. Often, distant trees or landscapes become lime green surfaces and look ridiculous. The same things coming out of any scope or tele lens. My character will be a grey textureless 3D model for a few seconds. It's a little embarrassing when you're trying to get your mates to buy the game and they see things like this happening.

I understand all those gripes, they're right they should be fixed, I've had more than one Bohemia game play just like this. However I understand that's just how they Bohemia games are, some of their games often feel glitchy and not finished. But I still love those games. Maybe BI should invest is some new developer talent and 3D creators should they wish to survive into the next generation?

You can also find rope scattered around the map.

But if a zombie apocalypse really happened I'd expect the cities to be looted the most. Try the military bases they're always ripe with goodies.

Surely a BE server would be located in Belgium ?

Played this morning. After doing a bit of research (watching a YouTube video) I found out how easy it is to make a camp fire and start cooking meats. I managed to chase a chicken, kill it with my axe, butcher it and cook it all during the night. I also managed to make a few torches but they don't burn for long without adding animal fats. I do agree though the nights are a little too dark.

Obviously written by a person who doesn't understand the point of the game. I couldn't disagree more with them lol

Which is a good point. However, last refresh on my ps4 I found 339 servers and nearly all were full. That's more than 20k players online at once. It might not be a big number compared to triple A titles, but its growing.

I dont know whether you'd call it admin messages, but I do, I mean the ones that come on periodically in the bottom left corner that mention feedback, server restarts etc usually in red text.

Remember the xbox version is slightly further down the development path than the ps4 version, it should naturally be superior until the ps4 version has a few updates.

You could try waiting out the night, it last about an hour of real time. Otherwise keep server hopping and eventually you should come across a server where its daytime. I thought all servers ran the same time, they dont. It was night the other day when I played but I changed server and it was midday when I spawned.

What happens when you press x ? Any error messages ? Describe what happens on screen.

IMO I would like to see the dialog box made smaller and moved to the bottom right the same as admin messages. In the top middle of the screen is very distracting and the box is too big right now.

Pick it up in your hands, then press triangle to equip. If the option isn't theres, you already have something equipped in its place, so go to the item equipped, press square to drop and then go back to the item you want to equip.

Flares work great, stand out yes but when theres hardly anyone around what's it matter ?

Have you tried crafting a torch ? All you need is a bit of tree bark, sticks and cut up clothing and you're going to be able to navigate at night.

I understand what you mean. But that's Dayz. As I type this I'm hiding out at the top of a castle in the pitch black listening to zombies below!! Praying for daylight to come soon so I can leave.

Same as me, I can see them in my notifications but not in my trophies when i synch them, same error message also. It's probably a bug.
