Vehicles could build up torque to go up hills and even burnout
etaab replied to Pauperprince's topic in PS4
I tried getting there in my car, but as soon as I went near Novo, the game would lag so bad and i would crash. So i tried going up the hill through the forest, but again it froze up and it crashed the car. -
In Dayz mod, bleeding was always an issue. A lot of people have got used to a bleed meaning very little, now they're back to how they're meant to be, eg life threatening, everyone needs to learn how to look after themselves better as the game is now harder than ever.

Tundra ? I couldn't find one for weeks as I believed they had all been duped, but now they spawn regularly again at hunting lodges and castle rooftops.
-
Probably. The UK servers are now DE servers, so whether they're in Germany now and the NL dutch servers are better for us UK players I'm not sure.

Trust me, with every update I love Dayz even more. I wont give up. To be honest I'm quite happy with my USG 45 & M70 combo. Finding and using night vision goggles has now changed the game entirely. Now we hit bases and military positions during the dark hours for less risk.

The servers were down last night. We got ejected and then like dominoes they all started going down every few minutes. All seems back to normal this morning.
-
Just check the official twitter feed The servers went down last night and did not come back up. We were forced to play on servers which we don't usually play on. But it worked out well as we found a bunch of tents in the woods and stole all of their NV goggles. They all seem to be back up this morning.

Well at least you found one, at the moment I can't find anything better than a USG thanks to dupers.
-
Good luck and I hope you enjoy owning it. Now begins the feeling of you've got something others want and you'll be constantly looking over your shoulder if you're anything like me.

The PS4 version is a mess compared to the xbox counterpart but it's still a very good game. I'm picky with games, I don't buy many per year as I used to. I really love Dayz even with its faults. I would say it's a full game, but BI do need to fix the basics and then at least it would be a worthwhile purchase for the more casual gamers who aren't Dayz fans since the early days.

Well, I'd only got that one car working since day one. Cars were never high on my list of priorities. It was mildly entertaining but just so hard to get anywhere as the cars just slow down for literally no reason and lose power, even without any lag spikes or bugs. Plus other players can hear you driving around, so pulling up near a military base you're compromised straight away. -
Who exactly has done this ? You've already said this in a previous reply but I haven't seen anyone saying those problems don't exist. You're starting to make comments like a child throwing their toys out of their pram because people don't always agree. If they don't have the same issues, that's not their fault is it?

We fixed up an Ada, on a slight incline on a tarmac road it struggled in anything other than 1st gear. I ended up driving everywhere in 1st or 2nd gear. I don't think the current state of cars in the game are worth the hassle of trying to repair them. -
Nope. Sorry. Half of what people have mentioned here are something I've never experienced. I've barely played more than 2 hours on private servers as I found them boring. A friend rented a server for PVE only and base building. It was too easy, I found every gun in the game almost straight away at NWAF. It was dull. So no, I actively target higher population public servers so I can have the zombie and player interactions. I rarely have to relog, I never die from the bugs people are mentioning and would not call them game breaking at all. In fact I love my time in Dayz, its usually fairly stable for me. Sorry guys but instead of turning to abuse, try understanding others opinions first before making accusations. Btw I can usually be found in EU DE4445 or EU DE4442 servers, usually pretty popular servers. Come try those servers, maybe you won't get the same bugs?

Maybe the water was poisoned? I've heard of some players poisoning the water supplies of people they meet and it killing them pretty quickly.

I understand all of your issues, i really do. All I'm saying is in my experience they have never affected me as badly as they do you. I wouldn't accuse you of being over dramatic, as I have no idea what's going on from your side of things. But in my experience i've never died from them once. Do you play in a big team of people? We usually run as a team of no more than 4 people. So I'm not sure if more players on screen equates to more lag and more chance of things glitching. I only ever have to log out and back in if I try to drop items for a friend and they can't see them. A relog usually fixes that bug. My main issues are the frame rates, LOD skip (which results in world furniture such as grass, trees, houses etc turning green, white or low on resolution) and the odd bug here or there. I'm just saying in my own experience, not once have I thought anything which has happened to me has been game breaking. The worst recently was I ran into a medical building to find some antibiotics, to find a zombie only visible up to his waist as he was glitched into the floor. Then my SGK5 magically disappeared off my shoulder, I checked the video footage afterwards, it literally went POP! and it was gone out of my inventory. I managed to escape the zombie by shutting him in a room behind a door. I survived and quickly find another SGK5, but I get your point. They're annoying bugs, but I think I'm just more forgiving as I've learnt to live with the majority of them as long as they don't get me killed.

I have to protest Dayz is not the game for aim assist. The reason I play this game is for the realism. Before it came out i played Red Dead Redemption 2 online. I hate auto aim games. They basically require no skill, they reward trolls and griefers because they're able to kill me, even if I'm the best player there is out there. Which isn't right. Also, you're forced to have it turned on even if you don't want it, otherwise you're immediately at a disadvantage when you encounter any PVP player. Stupid decision BI !
-
Aim assist ? Who asked for that ?? That's a game breaker right there. What a stupid idea. Now all the unskilled grand theft auto players will be flocking to Dayz

Well, I got my very first car fixed up and went for a spin a couple of days ago. To be honest i drove it several miles before I had an incident, which froze my game up. I never seem to have the same inventory problems as other people, maybe I've just learnt how to avoid bugs, glitches and little annoyances. I'm actually really pleased with how I am able to handle the strange inventory system. I just seem to get the poor frame rates, ridiculous LOD skip and the gun mag bug. Nothing major to be honest. I've also noticed that if I manually remove a mag and then manually insert a new one in the inventory it doesn't bug on me at all. So to be honest, all these game breaking bugs people moan about don't seem to have as much effect on me as I've learnt to avoid them. They're certainly not game breaking. The more I think about it, when Dayz released on 29th May, what Bohemia call 1.0 or above as the release version wasnt truthful. To me, us digital downloaders who bought the game from the online store have actually been playing the unofficial beta. I think when Dayz goes onto physical discs that you can buy in a bricks and mortar stores that'll be the proper release version and hopefully these bugs will be fixed. This is also supported by Bohemias recent tweet about their commitment to bug fixing going forwards. Because the PS4 doesn't have an early access, they just called it a release copy and sent it out in the wild.

I love this kind of positivity, it makes a change from the people complaining - please keep it up!
-
If they do fix those things I'm happy with a server wipe. They're worth trading off for better performance and the playing fields being levelled if they fix the duping. But if they don't fix these things and just add cosmetic toys I'd rather not lose my characters for that.
-
I've never been killed by an invisible zombie, maybe that's a lag issue your end ? Or you're on a server not in your region?
-
Surely you can just close the game and restart it? When you die and do not respawn, the game just puts you at the title screen until you load in fresh and you get your fresh spawn.
-
They haven't mentioned a server wipe like last time, so I'm going to assume there won't be one. Which I'm glad about as I've tons of loot buried, which I've grinded hard to find this past 2 months. I've literally just completed my full ghillie suit!

As long as there isn't a server wipe i don't mind.
