    PC freezes upon launch

Try lowering things that will consume memory, like the draw distance, the texture quality, etc. You might also try deleting your My Documents/DayZ folder. I know you said you reinstalled, but not sure if that folder always gets removed or not. Delete that folder without reinstalling and try again. You'll have to reset your keybinds, etc. though, so keep that in mind. If doing all that makes no difference, then I'd report it as a bug and see if support can help you figure it out. Good luck.

What would make a Dayz perfect game?

I would like to see version 1.11 in Q1 of 2021 include absolutely nothing new whatsoever. Why you ask? So that every development team member can focus on bug fixing and performance issues. Sure, I'd be nice to have all the things you listed @EzyStriderPS4 but I am so sick and tired of hand state bugs, infected stuck on fences, floating loot that can't be looted, cars that suddenly are traveling at Mach 1, etc. Let's stabilize the game once and for all -- and then, continue bringing back .62 stuff/adding new stuff.

Warning: You were kicked off the game... ??

Yeah, I dunno then. I think it can still be an issue if at some point, you temporarily spike to >300ms but if you're certain that isn't happening in this case, then it must be something else. I hope you figure it out.

Warning: You were kicked off the game... ??

It can be misleading because that's the message you receive from a server that shuts down gracefully during its restart, but I believe it may also be related to ping limit -- if your ping spikes occasionally to an ms value higher than what the ping limit is on the server, you'll get kicked for that.

    New Updates

There's two kinds of "full" -- stomach full and energy full. If your stomach is full, an extra icon pops up to tell you so. This doesn't mean your energy is full, that will happen soon after your apple is filled in completely. Personally, I like it better now, because it was misleading before when a full apple only represented a fraction of your energy.

Having issues with 1.10 on Deer Isle

When you uninstalled, did it remove your DayZ folder in My Documents? If not, delete that and uninstall/reinstall again. This will delete your key maps and settings and stuff, so you'll have to set that up again. I dunno if it will help or not, but you might have something corrupted in your profile folder.

    What does lifetime mean ?

Yeah, for people wondering what the times are, I suggest you download DayZ Server from the Tools option on Steam and then look at the types.xml file as @aux7 has shown a portion of here and then you'll see the times for everything. Globals.xml has timers as well for things like when ruined stuff despawns, etc.

    What does lifetime mean ?

My understanding is that it represents the amount of time it will remain on the ground, whether in its original spawn point or from wherever it was dropped by a player, before it despawns. I believe the timer gets reset however if the item is looted, carried for a bit by a player and then dropped somewhere else. I experienced this myself when there were 24/48 hour timers as I was able to stash a gun in a bush and find it again almost 24 hours later. I had looted the gun from a loot spawn point, so you have to add however number of hours it had been sitting in that spawn point as well. So basically, lifetime is the amount of time an item will stay in one location before it despawns.

    DayZ in VR?

I just made myself laugh. I was picturing having a hand-state bug in VR and continuously trying to reach and pick it up. 😘

One thing I see is you have a semi-colon next to a } near the bottom of the script. Try removing that.

    The current state of DayZ

I suggest you look through the past 2 years worth of posts in this forum. Plenty of people have complained about the car performance (and many, many, many other things), yet here we are, 2 years later, and cars (and other parts of the game) still have significant issues. Also, absolutely nobody in that timeframe has said DayZ is perfect. DayZ is far from perfect -- it's an amazing, unique game, yet at the same time, can be a massive dumpster fire pain in the ass. As Parazight said... No revolution nor petition nor protest shall make one iota of difference in how things proceed from here.

Try searching this site for "init.c" without the quotes as that is the file you edit and I'm sure you'll find lots of examples on here.

    wizard is in dayz/noobs perspective

@James Adam Rimmer There are static vehicles in game that you can't drive, but you can loot tires from as you've seen, and then there are those that can be driven. If you walk up to the hood of a car and then look at its inventory, if it's drive-able, you'll see its mechanics, like the spark plug, battery, radiator, etc. This will give you an idea of what you need to find to get it up and running. You'll also need water for the radiator and of course, some fuel. As for loot, yes it respawns. How often and where depends on the server you're on. Community servers can be customized, so some servers up the loot while others make it harder. If you're dying of starvation a lot, take your finger off the shift key when you're a new spawn. You will survive longer at first by jogging and not sprinting as your energy level (the apple) will reduce at a slower rate if you don't sprint. Also, when you drink from a well, drink until you see a stomach icon pop up. This indicates that your stomach is full. This may take dozens of sips of water, so don't just take 3 or 4 sips and think you're good to go -- drink till full stomach. DayZ takes a lot of patience at first because while learning, you will die a lot. Hang in there, learn the map and you'll be King of Chernarus in no time!

What we want to see on PS5

I want to see Olivia Munn lying here next to me in my bed. Here's the sad part: neither what you want to see or what I want to see is ever going to happen.

    Roaming Zombies

I am thinking about it. I want to play on Namalsk first and see how that's like because I might host one with Namalsk on it. What I would like to do is manipulate where the animals are on the map because in a real apocalypse, you'd have wildlife roaming the cities, so I think we should see wolves and bears not just in forests and fields, but also in the towns, so that's what I'd do if I put up a server.

    Roaming Zombies

If you get your own server, this is easy to accomplish. I had a server going in 2019 but dropped it because very few played on it. On my server, the infected were not dynamic but instead I had a script that would randomly decide upon each server restart where to spawn them. They would all spawn immediately upon restart. This means some towns had them while others were free of them. In the towns that had them, I would spawn 50 of them as a cluster and then they would begin to fan out around the area from there. You want to talk about having your anxiety level raised -- try aggroing dozens of them at once coming at you. The only thing is with the stun lock aspect, if you get surrounded by them, there is no hope of escape, you are simply dead. It was pretty cool, but like I say, I wasn't getting enough players on it to justify the server costs, so it didn't last long sadly.

    Got a problem with DayZ

Have you checked your Windows Event Viewer logs, specifically the Application and System logs? Windows may be logging something in there just before your PC restarts which might be giving a clue as to what's going on. In case you don't know, to get there quickly, open your Run command box and type in eventvwr then click OK.

    Armbands!!!!

It doesn't say that at all. It says this: The backpack is now taken into account for heat comfort, the armband is no longer That doesn't mean the armband no longer exists, it means it no longer counts towards your player's heat comfort.

I agree 100%. After a while, the character should look like this:

    camel packs/ working soda machines

Being able to get a soda from one of the machines is a good idea. Dropping in a coin would be pointless though because there's not meant to be any power anywhere (in the base game anyway, some of the mods add street lighting). It could perhaps be tied to the sledgehammer and/or pick axe such that with those weapons in hand, you take whacks at the machine and similar to fishing, there's a random chance that after a few hits, you find a can of soda at your feet.

    Gun won't fire, BS

It sounds to me like you had some sort of hand-state/inventory bug going on. The fact that your gun did nothing when you tried to pull the trigger means the server probably thought you had something other than a gun in your hand. It's a shame that after all this time, these issues still exist, but they do. Once you got to the point that you couldn't pick up the bullets properly, you should have relogged at that point. Upon returning, you'd have seen what the server was seeing and the result would have been that you weren't actually holding a gun most likely. It's frustrating to have to relog especially if you end up in a queue, but sometimes that's the only fix if weirdness is happening.
