So, here's an example for you: class CustomMission: MissionServer { void SetRandomHealth(EntityAI itemEnt) { int rndHlt = Math.RandomInt(40,100); itemEnt.SetHealth("","",rndHlt); } override PlayerBase CreateCharacter(PlayerIdentity identity, vector pos, ParamsReadContext ctx, string characterName) { Entity playerEnt; playerEnt = GetGame().CreatePlayer(identity, characterName, pos, 0, "NONE"); Class.CastTo(m_player, playerEnt); GetGame().SelectPlayer(identity, m_player); return m_player; } override void StartingEquipSetup(PlayerBase player, bool clothesChosen) { EntityAI itemEnt; ItemBase itemBs; player.RemoveAllItems(); itemEnt = player.GetInventory().CreateInInventory("Rag"); itemBs = ItemBase.Cast(itemEnt); itemBs.SetQuantity(2); itemEnt = player.GetInventory().CreateInInventory("TShirt_Red"); itemBs = ItemBase.Cast(itemEnt); itemEnt = player.GetInventory().CreateInInventory("Jeans_Grey"); itemBs = ItemBase.Cast(itemEnt); itemEnt = player.GetInventory().CreateInInventory("Sneakers_Green"); itemBs = ItemBase.Cast(itemEnt); itemEnt = player.GetInventory().CreateInInventory("SpaghettiCan"); itemBs = ItemBase.Cast(itemEnt); } }; All you have to do is add more itemEnt and itemBs lines if you want more items, but there has to be enough inventory slots on your character to hold all the stuff you want. So in your case, start with the backpack and then add the other things and you should be good.

^^ THIS!!! 100% I think it should actually be a keymap thing, like a "sync with server" button that you can press. Logging out to fix this has been, and always will be, ridiculous.

The issue with this type of idea is that I think most people aren't going to want to be playing that long in a "simulated broken leg" state as you've described here. I think the system that exists already is fine, but the default levels of new spawn hydration and energy are too low. You should be able to last at least one hour from new spawn before you die from dehydration without consuming anything, less time of course if you're sprinting too much. At the end of the day, it's a game, so you can't really get anywhere close to IRL levels of a human's ability to survive without food and water.

@Kyiara Your report, while appreciated, lacks any information regarding vehicle stability. The game has come a long way, but one of the major problems that remains and, quite frankly, that you folks have not communicated very well about, are the vehicles. Are you still working on stabilizing them? Are there plans to switch them to being client side instead of server side? Are they already as good as they're ever going to get? Some idea as to what the plans are with vehicles going forward would be nice to know.

BI are you still working on infected smashing/open doors?

@Booma5150Another way you could accomplish this is using a static event. So, in events.xml, copy the "AnimalWolf" event and call it "StaticWolf" and then in cfgeventspawns.xml, you would define the X/Z coordinates for that event wherever you want to spawn them (just set a = 1 for each spawn point). The only thing with this is, they would ALWAYS spawn there. The CE spawns them as if they are vehicles, but they will start to roam by themselves from their spawn points.

I believe they have already said they weren't going to do anything more with the lighting.

Only thing to do is remove all the mods and then start adding them back one at a time until you find the one that leaks. You might post your list of mods here as well, because maybe someone else has experienced this as well. I have a few mods on my server but haven't experienced any leaks AFAIK.

As of 1.11, this server has been changed from using Utes to using Deer Isle. Come check out John McLane's updated version of Deer Isle which now includes a subway! -

23.106.223.235:2302 SERVER DETAILS The server is up daily from 4am to Midnight PT (GMT-8) as it is physically located in Seattle, WA, USA. It is down daily from 12:00am to 4:00am PT (GMT-8) for maintenance tasks. MODS USED - Deer Isle (the map itself) - Airdrop-Updated (air drops will occur occasionally, dropping various things at random points on the map) - BuildAnywhere V3 (allows the placement of objects in areas not normally allowed by the vanilla game) - IRP-Land-Rover-Defender-110 (this modded Land Rover will be the only vehicle being spawned) 23.106.223.235:2302 -
@ragingaccountant I know you said you "deleted all the files" but did you delete the \Users\{your logged in username}\AppData\Local\DayZ folder? You might have something corrupted in there.

Do you actually want a total of 130 cars and trucks? Your cfgeventspawns.xml would have to have at least that many spawn points for that to work. Vehicles are pretty unstable as well, so I doubt having that many of them on one server would work out too well. Also, you have lifetime set to 300 here, which is only 5 minutes, so all vehicles will vanish from their spawn point after 5 minutes. What do you have in types.xml for the children portions, like OffRoadHatchback for example, post that please.

other than having .exe at the end on the Start command, looks okay to me I think. I googled the error and there's lots of possible fixes here: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=DayZ+Server+hostname+parameter+is+missing

Can't put chicken on stick. Or place fireplace on ground.

Put stick in hand, drag knife to combine, hold mouse button. -
What does the alcohol tincture currently do in 1.10 DayZ?
drgullen replied to AreYouChasingMe2's topic in General Discussion
I'm pretty sure it was taken out shortly after being put in because too many people complained about it. I think the intention is that a certain percentage of dirty rags will give you infection requiring tincture, but unless it's coming back with 1.11, I don't think dirty rags do anything bad to you at the moment. -
One option is to download DayZ Server from the Tools menu in Steam and setup a server on your PC, assuming it is powerful enough to run the client and server on the same box. You could also join an empty server -- no guarantee it would stay empty of course.

The problem with a city map is that geared characters would just camp in the buildings and pick people off. It would be very difficult for the person below to tell where the shot(s) were coming from and I think it would get frustrating pretty quickly. A desert style map however would be very cool, as long as it had new assets and not the same old Chernarus-style buildings.

You eat by putting whatever it is in your hands and then holding down the left mouse button. If it's a can, you need a can opener or knife or pick axe or other such weapon to open it first. You do that by having the can in your hands and then dragging said tool on top of it into the Combine box. Then, hold down the left mouse button to open the can and then again to eat it. Those numbers are your hotbar numbers. You can drag items from your inventory and drop them onto one of those numbers and then you can access that item by pressing that key. For example, I always put my rags or bandages on the last number so that I can bandage quickly if a bunch of zeds get me. As you improve and add to your clothing, you'll see additional numbers appear because whatever clothing you just put on adds additional slots to your hot bar. In the case of ammo for example, you would push and hold that key to reload multiple rounds into the chamber/mag.

I'm skeptical as well. We are now into the 3rd calendar year since the official release of 1.x -- if they knew how to fix desync issues, they'd have done so by now.
-
Items remain until they reach their lifetime value, so if you have reduced nominal to 0, that means when the current loot in the world for that item reaches its lifetime limit, it will not be respawned by the CE. If you want this loot gone immediately, you'd have to delete your storage_1/data folder (or the entire storage_1 folder if you want saved player inventory deleted as well). Keep in mind that this will delete other persistent items as well, such as bases, buried loot, parked cars, etc.
-
In that case, you'd be better off putting this in the right place -- this is the PC section and the game does not have crossover between PC and consoles. Post your message in the PS4 New Player Discussion section.

Here's a way to start a real relationship: instead of shooting them, approach them and ask what their name is.
