Please Bohemia can we get character locked servers?
bandito6000 replied to TheYetiBum's topic in Xbox
Looking at the viewers of this thread in that manner is a bit silly. It's the Internet man. You can't expect everyone that views to share there opinion. Some of my threads have 200+ views with only 10-15 comments. I'm not going to assume they disagree just because they don't give there 2cents. That being said, I agree about the benefits of locked servers. Not only would it stop people from hopping, it would also encourage players to travel to other places in the map (aside from coastal towns and nwaf). Which will make for some fresh experiences and encounters. -
Also guys, another reason it's hard to find an AR atm is due to the sever list practically being cut in half. The hoppers are less spread out. On the plus side, its easier to catch them in the act

I've been out of town for two weeks for the holidays. So I haven't been able to play since before the latest update. Maybe it's one of the things they've "tweaked".

I'm pretty satisfied with the landmines

I have to agree there. I like to dress civilian and keep a gun in the backpack. Most people don't see you as a threat when your not wearing full camo.

That's what the spawn killers want you to think, that way you start killing every geared player on the coast that you see, giving them exactly what they want. (Someone to senselessly pvp with). I don't take the game to seriously. I try to make peaceful contact with most people I meet. Also, Sometimes when you're starved for interaction you have no choice but to walk the coast looking for players. Just because I have gear doesn't mean I'm a mindless kos player. And if you assume that and shoot on sight, you become part of the problem. But I think telling people to run straight inland and be frightful of every geared player on the coast is counter productive to player interaction. Yes, there are assholes that like to kill fresh spawns because they're to scared to pick a fight they might lose. But there are plenty of nice people in Chenarus that just want to help out.

My rule of thumb is - If my hair sticks through my hat, I'm looking for the nearest cliff

That's gonna be soooo dope!

That's a good question. I think It should negate core health loss, but still cause bleeding. ...Like self defense wounds in real life

The OP isn't demanding anything. He simply ASKED about the possibility of seeing these items in the FUTURE.

Honestly, walking around for 5 hours looking for a single item in the same server is just a waste of time. If you haven't found at least one of that item in an hour of looting, you SHOULD switch servers. Not server hop the same building over and over until you find it, but I've noticed it seems as though there are several sets of loot distribution for any given server. Sometimes you have to find the right set for a better chance of finding the item you are looking for. Just my experience

I want to agree and say that it's fucking ridiculous! because I HAAAATE when It happens to me, but when you stop and think about it, it's the only means that a fresh spawn has to attack or defend... Ahh fuck it. It's total bs

I feel like you're missing out on some essential aspects that dayz has to offer right now just due to fear of loosing progress. I'd stop reading all the negative posts about it and just try it out. it's already pretty much guaranteed that there's going to be a wipe at least every month, so that shouldn't be an issue. I can tell you after spending the better part of 3-4 months walking from city to city, there are few things that are more exhilarating than driving from Berezino to Electro in just a few minutes! That said, I'm with you on the base thing. Too much time, too little payoff. Tents are where it's at rn. But don't let other people's worst case scenarios deter you from hauling ass across Chenarus!

I'm not going to repeat myself for you. I Already Said My Thoughts On The mosin. If you weren't selectively reading my posts you would know that.

There are actual glitches in the game that can kill you. (Like a car sending you flying through the sky) So stop complaining about a FEATURE that hasn't been fully implemented yet.

For the sake of being honest, I'd like to report that my worn akm jammed on me last night. It's the first time I've had a gun jam, and the first time I've seen a fully automatic rifle jam as well. That said, I still don't think it's game breaking. Just a mild nuisance.

It was stated in the last patch notes that there was a fix for the poor frame rate that we've been experiencing lately, but I have noticed little to no improvement. I've never experienced fps this bad in a game before. I also don't want the moderators to think I'm just bashing on the devs. I play through it because I love what they have created with this game, and grateful for the port to xbox! but I'm honestly getting 5-10 fps if that in high pop servers (on xbox one X). And compared to pubg, this game ran like butter when it first dropped. It's just a bummer to see it running like this.

when the game comes out 1.0 that will be the point. Currently the point is to test things out and help identify bugs. don't forget, it's In BETA! I suspect that is a sweeping statement your making. Because I've yet to have a gun jam, and I play almost every day...

I don't think this is game breaking... being that it has yet to happen to me. It's easily avoidable by only using worn guns. Just make sure you repair it if it's damaged and you'll be fine. I've heard that some pistols can jam even if worn, but this doesn't affect me as I mostly stick to smgs and rifles. Also, if you want to scope in while prone just use the acog. I agree it's silly there hasn't been a fix for the mosin, but everything else you've mentioned has a work around. Cheers

I lost 4 tents full of loot, 2 aks, an m4, and an svd, but I knew it was coming eventually so I'm not salty about it. My best advice to ya is - get started on a base early (right after an update) so you can get the most out of it before it's inevitably wiped again Cheers

(Aside from the wipes) the mesh barriers have always had a persistence problem every since the first day they were added

It's already been fixed :) It was just an issue for the first few hours after the update this morning.
