I call nonsense on that. Any added options are good in my mind, and its in essence a pc anyway it should have been added from the start many years ago - but instead they opted for earning money on only allowing controllers and then making and selling them themselves. And how hard is it to find a mouse and a keyboard if you believe that that will give you an edge, everyone has a couple around the place - problem solved. 🙂

It was taken out for now as there was no point to it - there was no real sickness even though the sickness-icon was being shown.

Im curious about when it drops though. Earlier I remember hearing something about November the 13th which is just around the corner. The beta runs from the 31st of October to the 4th of November, so crossed fingers we get it the 6th - but I got my doubts as I cant find any real official info on it.

I dont know if its the case recently, but from about 3 weeks ago I started finding gear on the public servers that I have found since the first week after the last wipe. I found a couple of AKM's, 4 baby-AK's (AK74U), a couple of USG's (earlier that was the best/highest tier gun I was able to find, and that was if I was _really_ lucky) plus NV-goggles, and that was just in a few days (and then I have not messed much about in mil-bases since as I got what I need and came for). I don't know if its because of stashes de-spawning because a lot of people are waiting for the next update and have not checked in on their bases/stashes, or if they maybe added "joker"-slots for the weapons - meaning that maybe they made it so a small amount of the maxed-out items (lower then what would spawn normally if not maxed out) still spawns around the map, that is my hope, but its all just guesswork so far.

As far as I remember then stashes (buried stuff, tents, barrels and such) despawns after 3 weeks if not interacted with. So if no one is in contact with it for that long it disappears. And if you don't come in contact with it in that long then you probably dont need it anyway. 🙂

I did all those things - even reconnected my headset (which works fine) while I was held up by the second guy. I was in no groups at all and I was holding D-pad down (and the sign that shows that you are transmitting your voice was showing clearly, I just re-watched the recording of it). Crossed fingers this does not happen again, I still consider myself lucky that the second guy did not shoot me when I could not reply - instead he removed (and stole lol) all my shotgun-shells and took the mag out of my pistol (but was kind enough to leave them on the ground by the empty mag so I could put them back in and not be defenseless). Im guessing it was just my Xbox or Xbox Live acting up and hope it does not happen again. 🙂

I ran by an active pile of lumber on a public server 2 days ago, they are still there. 🙂

He most likely got an alt inside the tents. He logs on with that and takes one of the tents down which gives access to the other tent for storage, and as soon as he put his stuff in there he takes his main-character out of it, logs the alt in inside it and sets the second tent up again. PS - im not sure whether tents can be destroyed with frag-grenades or not... It might take a few grenades, but it sure works on build walls and towers. I would definitively try blowing all that shit up (I hope it works) and destroying it if he is doing it like that, that is abusing the game-mechanics to a sad extent.

I've fired it with zombies on the other side of a wall 10-15 meters away that did not react at all.

All I can say is that its very nice not having to worry about people ghosting in behind you anymore. I've had that happen on several occasions and it SUCKS. Once I had a sniper-battle between the cranes at Lumber mill - I tag the guy once and im not sure if he is dead, uncon or just retreated into the inner part of the crane to heal. About 3 minutes later he spawns in behind me in my crane and full-auto me in the back - he had used that time to jump to another server, run to my crane and position himself and then jump back to the server I was on. Everything to combat that.

Personally I only had a half-lucky spawn-point when changing servers once (and I done it about 10 times). I ended up about 500 meters from Balota mil-base at that time, but otherwise I tend to spawn waaay out in the woods with _no_ landmarks within sight or way up in Dobroe and places like that - definitively not places I would hope for.

Nice point. Personally I love night-time, and some of the experiences I remember best have been during night where your overview of the situation is severely handicapped compared to normal. I remember a weird conversation with an italian dude inside Pavlovo military base - I was trying to find the shed he was hiding in so I could throw a grenade in there, but it was just utter chaos and we both ended up laughing about the whole situation and leave each other be. Another time me and two mates we traveling on the coast and we saw a group of players with flares or flashlights turned off further down on the train-tracks we were following. Me and one of my comrades went prone on each side of the tracks and our third mate was supposed to flank around them and follow them and only open fire on them after me and my mate sprung the trap when they got close enough to us (and then they would be pushed back into him that was waiting if they tried to take a retreat or at least get caught between our 2 groups). But the idiot who went behind them to flank for some really stupid reason decided to open fire on them when they were still 100-150 meters from where we were waiting for them to get into the kill-zone. It ended up in a totally chaotic fight instead of a perfect trap (I still don't know why that idiot opened fire when our plan was clear as day, he was supposed to just follow and then mow them down if they tried to retreat) and ALL of us dies as it ended with just me and one of the others (we were 3, they were 4) traded and both went down. Loved it. 🙂

Yes, they work just fine with eye-wear - I always wear my aviators and have had no need to take them off. But you will not be able to use any kind of long-range scopes when using the NVG - for that you need the NV-scope for the different AKs and SVD, that's might be where you got the impression about the eye-wear.

@William Sternritter On that point we will just have to agree to disagree. Personally I think its a great system. And any system can be abused, that does not make it okay just because it is possible. Take the rampant duping in 1.03 as a case-study. 🙂

Okay, lets then say that you are abusing the system, would that make it any different? The vast majority of us stay on the server/servers we play on and don't try to abuse game-mechanics that are meant for one thing to disable other aspects of the game.

Too much, I prefer not to know as there is a solid chance I would then de-install the game like I did with WoW back in the days when I found the /timeplayed-function... 😊 And trying to brag about it like it makes you better then other if you got more hours played is a sure way to fuck up a fine thread.

Yeah, I seen that/those (it was apparently an issue in 1.04 too) but I never had it happen to myself and when me and a mate tried to replicate it (because we wanted to be sure if it was legit or not) it did not work - we didn't give it an extensive test though. And the stuff about shoes and whatnot getting damaged/ruined by walking ten meters or shooting it once is just straight-up foolish.

Lol, did you read his post before answering? He literally did a solid defence of the duct-tape glitch being fixed with some valid points. I for one agree wholeheartedly - it makes that part of the game interesting again. Not knowing whether you will be able to get your weapon repaired before it breaks, having to think about not using it until it gets fixed and taking detours out of necessity makes the game soooo much more interesting. And I love the buffed up sickness-system - its amazing. The last 2 updates have been so great, just the fact that 1.04 opened up large areas of the map again (the larger cities which were lag/death-traps back then) plus all the new functions and vaulting. The game ain't perfect (and never will), but I am really impressed with BI's work on the last two patches. I know that some people are still complaining about duping, but honest - compared to the end of 1.03 there is literally no duping anymore (I don't know of any ways and I dont hope anybody else does) and I have not been seeing any clear proof of it so far (would love to see it though, just to be clear about whether its still an issue at all).

I seem to remember it being in the game... Is your hands actually bloody? Im not sure, but the trigger to "wash hands" might only show up IF your hands actually are bloody. Go kill an animal and cut it up without gloves on, or find a player that might be willing to help. 😊

If you are laughing like a maniac every 20 seconds then you've eaten too much human meat and got the cannibal sickness (kuru). There is no way to cure it other then to take the freshie-express to the coast, and if you are unlucky you will be twitching like a meth-head every couple of seconds while trying to aim.
