Its a little different. With the Mosin you can load the internal mag (5 bullets) and have one in the chamber, but you can only fire the one from the chamber and then you have to reload it again after each shot, and the bullets in the internal mag is just sitting there and is essentially lost. With the shotgun you can load bullets into the internal mag (5 rounds I think) and have one in the chamber, and just like the Mosin you can't use the ones in the internal mag - but the shotgun bugs out a a random point (it happened to me after between 2 and 5 shots) and when that happens you can reload the chamber as much as you want but the bullets just disappear from your inventory one at a time when you do it. The Mosin in a one-shot rifle (which you can keep on using), but the shotgun is ruined after a couple of shots and makes your ammo disappear after that.

That says nothing about that it will go gold for Xbox on the 13th (it does not even mention consoles). It says that version 1.0 will launch on the 13th on Steam FOR PC. I would be _very_ surprised if the Xbox-version was close to that - but ill send you a banana if it does.

And why exactly should the game go gold in 5 days?...

Oh stop the whining, its not like one thing excludes the other. Maybe all the Xbox-users should start going to the PC-forum and start saying that they dont deserve ANY kind of update as they had the game way before us! ;) Totally nonsense.

I get that people should complain unnecessarily, but what you are saying is basically that since its been a hard time for the pc-users then the xbox-users are not allowed a voice on that matter.

And thank god for that! :) When it takes the better part of a (real-time) day to walk diagonally across the map (and cars are so rare, so hard to get going and so easy to wreck) then I will say that the size is plenty big. To the devs: Please dont make it any bigger before you implement jetpacks in the game! :P

But we have just got a shitload of other stuff, we are still waiting for more (working) weapons though.

It should be pretty easy to test as it should start pretty soon after eating human meat (like 45 minutes-ish) and then come about every fifth minute and can not be cured - from what I've read anyways.

Ill take the new update with constant rain over the the last iteration any day - at least now we have some stuff to play with! :) But ill happily admit that there are some grave bugs in it right now - the sound that is clipping out (half the time I get paranoid thinking my foot-steps is someone else), the guns that often dont make any sounds when you shoot them, the party-chat that disables proximity-chat (and fucks it up when you leave the party), the disappearing tents and barrels, the extremely laggy and buggy inventory-system and crashes. But all in all this is still one of the technically speaking most impressive games I have seen over +25 years of gaming.

I tried that approach to a relative fresh-spawn in Berezino about a week ago. I was on my way to the police-station where I could hear a player looting around inside. I talked to him from outside, stated that I was friendly and asked if there was anything he needed and if he maybe wanted to coop a bit with me so we could keep each others back clear. He replied friendly and said that he was red from hunger and asked if I had any food he could have. Food was the only thing I was low on though - I was yellow from hunger myself and only had a can of peaches that I was saving a bit, but being the friendly dude I try to be (with emphasis on try lol) but I still offered him that we could share it and eat half of it each. I was hoping to have some friendly interaction, maybe find a new mate in-game or go on a little adventure together if he was up to it and I had no real loot so there was no real reason to kill me. He agrees, so I go into the police station and waves friendly to him and he waves back and all seems okay. He asks if I can get the food out right away as he is red and is losing health all the time, so I go into the inventory system to get it out - and you all know what happened then, he pulls out a fucking axe while I am getting the food from the inventory system and starts hacking at me. I yell out for him to stop it, and tells him that its just stupid as I have no loot real loot other then the fucking can of peaches which I was sharing with him - but the SoB does not even reply and hits me once again and I am dead. My trust-level for other people in this game is _almost_ non-existent after that - most will kill you even if there is no reason at all (no loot, no threat and a friendly attitude) and will not even reply to a friendly hi. Also - he sounded like he was pretty young (14-15 would be my guess) and I have made the rule that I will keep my gun pointed at anyone under 20 after this... ;) The next time I offer anyone something I will fucking tie them down first, then leave it on the ground by them and let them pick it up when im gone! I really dont mind if somebody lures me in and then uses the opportunity to hold me up, tie me up and rob me - I dont mind doing that myself and that is just part of the game (and can be fun even for the victim!), but luring un-geared players in just to kill them (for half a can of fucking peaches extra...) is just loooooow and not even remotely challenging. If the person who did this reads it: I hope you get butt-cancer and looses your prick. :)

I can totally vouch for that approach. Its waaaay more fun then just KoS'ing, getting the loot and run away to the next victim - and not only for me, but also for the victim. The last dude I robbed (I only done it successfully 3 times though) actually said to me (just before I left him) that it was his first time getting robbed and that he really enjoyed it as he had fun with the situation too and was happy that he got out of there alive and one experience richer. Its a shame that most people just kill on sight, I have not tried to get robbed yet (I have not met anyone who even tried it on me) and I am actually looking forward to it happening sometime. But If the robber is being a total fucking arsehole (talking shit and behaving like a baboon) then I will say fuck it, go at him with my fists and get ripped in a sec instead of letting him do it (and hope that he destroys the items he wanted) - it has to be done with a bit of class so both parties can walk away from the situation with a little smile! :)

I have seen you on before, ill give you a shout-out next time! :) And I can stand behind your rules, I never KoS unless I know that the person is engaged in slaughtering Bambi's or stuff like that. I dont mind robbing people though, but I _always_ let my victim come out of it alive (unless he is stupid enough to try some real stupid shit like go for the axe or whatever) and I tend to make sure they got food and water to make it somewhere without dying (and If they haven't got any food/drink to begin with ill donate some) and often drops them some random stuff to (after taking what I wanted from them...). I consider myself as an friendly and honest robber, how much sense that then makes. :)

Not necessarily. My tent stayed over several resets - but then It disappeared after 1,5 day of not playing. It might also have been taken though, but I highly doubt it as it was on a low-pop server and in the middle of the woods where you would need a compass and directions to find it and it could not be seen from any direction unless you got closer then 50 meters to it. My char is on his way to the next town over to see if my civilian tent is still there, or if that is gone too - crossed fingers! :)

I found two landmines and a bear-trap. The landmines were both in military tents, and the bear-trap was either in a hunting-cabin or a deer-stand (the one a hunter can sit in and wait for deers to approach and shoot them).

And the tent just disappeared. I highly doubt it was found by anyone as it was on a low-pop server (3 people on it at the moment) and located deep in the forest where you would need directions and a compass to get too. I logged out it front of it 1,5 day ago, and when I just logged in again now the tent is gone. I can't rule out that somebody found and took it, but the chances are low. At least I was carrying 2 x UMP's, 2 x M4A1's, 1 x AKM and 2 pistols plus a bunch of misc stuff back (which I still got as I logged out before I put it into the tent), and now I am standing in the middle of the forest with a full inventory and a full dry backpack in my hands with no where to put it lol. Edit: The dry backpack I had been carrying (my new plan was to bring it to my civilian tent in the forest 3-4 km away) just "disappeared" too - I was standing still in front of a bush and dropped it a second to get something to drink from my hunter backpack on my back, and when I wanted to pick it up again it was inside the friggin bush and I can not for the life of me get a trigger to pick it back up (neither with empty hands when trying to hover the crosshair over it when standing in front of it or via the inventory-system). So now I both lost the big tent in the middle of the forest and my dry backpack with a M4A1, the first PU scope I have ever found (which was my main goal of the trip which had been going to some hunting cabins in the woods), gas-lamp with gas attached plus a solid bunch of misc ammo and mags) in about 10 minutes. You _really_ got to love this game to play it when shit like this usually happens several times pr hour - some weapons dont give off any sounds when you fire them (its a nightmare when you are on the receiving end and dont get no cues to where the shooting is coming from other then the bullets hitting around you), guns jam on you and there is no way to unjam them, the proximity chat is fucked from time to time (I have had mates not being able to hear me even though my mic is fine and we haven't been messing around with party-chat), tents de-spawn with your stuff, the general KoS-culture (even though handcuffs have been implemented and duct-tape and rope is finally working to tie people up with I have not been robbed a single time yet). But I do... ;)

PS - your tip to taking the tent down again works! The only spot I can get the trigger to take it down is when standing right in the middle and looking down - I had mainly been concentrating on the sides and entrance from both inside and out. Top tip! :)

Problem solved itself, when I came back to the spot the tent had done me the favor of packing itself down and was ready for me to pick up again! And now its time for that long and slow walk! :)
