Some aspects of it might be able to be considered as broken, but its still the most thrilling game out there and if it weren't also really good and addictive we would not be complaining about it. Ups and downs. 🙂

I will bet the better part of my privates that they will wipe the characters and the servers. Anythings else would be insane after the CLE has been totally side-lined and tents and SVD's are all over the place. We need it, and its probably necessary anyway as a lot of the game-mechanics are getting changed. Im looking very much forward to it! 🙂

Personally I love and prefer 1st person a lot more then 3rd person, but as most of my mates don't want to do I am usually stuck on 3rd person with them.

Bugs or not, its still been my main-game since it came out for Xbox - so I can't complain about the price, it seems more then fair to me for the amount of time I've spent and the fun I've had. I bet most of the people complaining about the state of the game and says the strangest things about it still boots it up the second they have half an hour to spare. 🙂 Why else would they take the time to vent to random people online if they weren't feeling it for the game. Criticism is good, I would just love some more constructive criticism here and there. 🙂

You are talking about some of the modes (some of them made possible by mods) in ARMA 2 and ARMA 3 which is the game DayZ first was made as a mod for. Just get ARMA 3, its a _damn_ solid game and is also made by BI. It ain't out on Xbox though.

Its fun, the PC-players are blaiming the Xbox-version for the reason of the bugs and so on, and here people are blaiming the PC-version. It makes no sense, and it does not help the situation either - its just tossing feces at each other for no reason other then being frustrated. I miss seeing more constructive criticism...

Its a nice idea, but unfortunately it would not be feasible. We need mods to make designated safe-zones where weapons cant be drawn, used or where people just cant take damage from others players at all - and I dont think mods is ever coming to the Xbox-version of the game. For every one person who would show up to actually trade or use the place as a safe-zone there would be 5 people waiting to kill, it would just be a shitshow of a mess-up and for that people usually go to the factory at Solnichy these days (as there is no reason to go inland to the mil-bases as the weapons are missing).

Whiiiine. So many teenagers... They probably have their reasons, they stated its because of the duping-activity and that its a part of the new ways to combat it that we are waiting for. Give them a bloody chance before the whining start, and THEN break out the whips when there actually is a reason for it instead of just yelling for no reason (which is the equivalent of what is going on in here most of the time).

Damn it, I just got pretty pumped when DayZ started updating - thought it was 1.03-1.04... But still nice that you fixed the scopes again!

Maybe try to do it then, the first part anyway - you cant have your cake and eat it too.

Ill second that! First person is just so much more immersive, and it also lowers the risk of jerks sitting with a duped rifle in total cover, using the 3rd person camera to look around and then stand up and take the shot when there is a chance and then being proud of himself for killing a Bambi that was standing still. If you want to snipe in first person, you actually have to put yourself out there to see what is going on - its way more tense and way more fun.

Well, stop bitching like small kids and it would not be necessary. Criticism is valid, but how about actually making it constructive instead of just whining like small kids who has not been allowed to get a candy-bar at the supermarket-checkout? I keep seeing the same bunch of you complaining (most of the time just doing guesswork on the future and then complaining about random possible time-lines lol, pretty insane) and saying OVER AND OVER that you are quitting or taking a huge break from this game now (which is always a good idea when burned out, I do it too from time to time) and then being back to complain about a possible outcome the next day or saying that you and your mates are so much better then BI, have made better games over a single weekend and could fix this game in a week by themself (all real statements from in here). Its a never-ending wheel of misery, and I for one would like to see it change to a point where we can actually use the forum for something constructive instead of it feeling like a journal for emo teenagers. If anybody feels a need to defend themselves, then I probably hit jackpot - and if you feel the need to complain as much as many of you do then its probably about time you checked out some other games or started or went for a stroll in the nice weather. I totally understand that a lot of people feel severely let down by the process of this game (I do too!), but complaining about it in a circle nonstop will not make any difference other then messing up the forum for anybody who actually comes here do discuss the game or get tips. Take a step back, take deep breath, relax - its just a game!

They never intended to push the current update out to the consoles, as far as I can understand it was mainly for testing (interally probably) of how to get the fps better. Something went wrong, someone pushed a button and it got pushed out to everyone. Its impossible to know what happened and if the fault is in BI's or Microsofts end. Anyway, its hard to complain about them testing how to increase/stabilize the frame rate plus all the sick updates coming with 1.03-1.04 (I for one can't wait, even though half the forum is busy complaining about new mechanics that they dont got no idea of how works yet lol) - but that does not mean that the babies will come crawling out to have their whine-fits (like the last days).

Eeeh, no? Losing a large part of the player-base is not good for anything. They need to be pushed over to legit playing instead. Sure, some people will leave - and some people should have left a long time ago, the crybaby-level in here is beyond anything I've seen on any other forum in the last 20 years - but a lot of them will love that the playing-field is level again and play it like that. I know scores of people that don't like the duping but is doing it as long as the scene is like this and half of your opponents are light-years beyond IJ-70 and BK-18-level. Sure, they make the problem worse - but I for one totally undestand them.

Nobody even knows if you will be thrown far away (it might be 100 meters), so what is the deal? Friggin chill out and wait until you actually got something to complain about until the whining starts - this forum is unreal.

Yeah, yeah - this game is already dead and nobody will ever play it again. Hurry off it so the rest of us can enjoy it - please!

OMG, you are a whiny bunch. I can recommend some outdoor activities (IRL lol, not "looking at the sun-set at the Lumber Mill" as half of you would define it) if you really are getting that upset about stuff that you half the time dont know jack about (like most of the whining today).
