Yep, and "things" just happened again with yet another delay of an update that been out for almost a quarter of a year for PC while they claim that Xbox is "3 weeks behind the PC-version". I already "build my character" AND purged it so your hakuna matata-stuff (and OMG, a laughing smiley from Bearjew - I feel soooo humiliated as always) really dont work here. ๐ If you ain't yourself annoyed by now then congrats; you are no longer human!
-
Do you still have that belief bro? ๐
-
Sorry to tell you, but it ain't broken just because you cant figure out how to do it. It works perfectly, and that report you posted is about 1.03 experimental and as such as no use here. Tie the bandana up to use it as clothing and un-tie it to use it for bleeding cuts - its actually all very easy. And how do we use EVERY other item in the game? WE HOLD IT IN OUR HANDS AND PRESS RT. ๐
-
Actually they are not bugged at all. They are just using a new mechanic that most people have not figured out. To equip a bandana it NEEDS to be tied up first! To do that you equip the bandana to your hands (and go out of the inventory if you are in that) and press RT - that should tie it up AND equip it in one go. To do that you must of course have nothing equipped in the inventory-slot the bandana is supposed to use. When you want to use it to stop bleeding (it can be used forever by the way, it does not get used up like rags or other stuff) you have to equip it to your hands and press RT once again to untie it - and then press once more (after you stopped the bleeding) to tie it up and equip it again. I noticed this by accident the other day, I killed a guy that was wearing one and I could see that it was tied up which got me curious, so I started messing around with it until the mechanics made sense to me. So we have all (most of us anyway) just been fools and have not been doing it right and have been complaining about it not working for a quarter of a year. So far it has worked for everyone I met who tried it (5-6 different people who all had not been able to do it since 1.02). In Short: To take bandana on: Tie the bandana up and equip by holding it in your hands and press RT while NOT in inventory. To use against bleeding: Untie the bandana (if it has been equipped) by holding it in your hands and press RT while NOT in inventory and then hold RT.

DayZ Update 1.04 Expected In August?
Jonas Levin replied to AIpheus's topic in New Player Discussion
I _very_ much doubt that any big updates will be pushed out on a sunday. And we don't know from what the update was "a couple" of days delayed (hopefully a couple meaning 2, we dont know that precisely either), it might be from Wednesday or it might be from the 31st or whatever they chose. We will most likely have to wait to august - yet another BI-promise broken, its that not big of a promise but its yet another to the collection. PS - Helicopters anyone? ๐ -
I agree 100%, I would love the books to be implemented again. It should not be too hard to do, but maybe copyright-issues was a problem.

Can we please stop the dev hate
Jonas Levin replied to Joseph Childree's topic in General Discussion
Hate-speech is never good, but there must _always_ be room for constructive criticism. -
That is the explanation I've come to myself. I am playing on Xbox where we can't control any of the graphics, and while driving on the roads _between_ the towns I can push it all the way up to 100 km/h without lagging out, but as soon as I enter a medium-sized city with above 30-40-50 km/h I lag out for 10-20 seconds and can do nothing but push the brakes (which usually does nothing as the game ain't accepting inputs after the lag-out) and hope for the best situation possible. I've lost several cars and a couple of passengers this way. It seems like the game cant handle loading all the assets from the medium/bigger towns fast enough when you are approaching them at a solid speed and then simply "freezes" (no inputs work and you got no frames at all, but the game goes on and can kill you in the meantime) and does not let you do anything until it has caught up. I am pretty sure its servers-side, and not client-side or dependent on your internet-connection.

DayZ Update 1.04 Expected In August?

Relax, it was just a friendly question about whether what you said was meant as a joke or not - therefore the friendly smiley on the end. No need to stress out. ๐ -
DayZ Update 1.04 Expected In August?
Jonas Levin replied to AIpheus's topic in New Player Discussion
Are you for real? ๐ Ever since the "unintentionally pushed out" patches (first destroying the scopes, the "kinda" fixing them but not all the way back to how it was and still kinda broken with no red dots) the looting have been the biggest mess ever. Suddenly you can't pick up anything and have to leave and re-join the server to see where stuff actually is and what you have in your inventory. Its a mess right now. -
Im pretty sure Pilgrim is correct about that being how it works right now. Otherwise AR's would still be spawning as the servers would see them as "not existing" if they were in tents or buried and it would be possible to go to a military area on a low-pop server and find them - which it ain't. Lets hope they change it with the new update, I would hate get locked out of the good loot again just because you were not online at the right interval after a wipe. And crossed fingers that the friggin god-tents have been fixed, im so tired of 70% of the weapons basically being useless because everyone got LARs and SVDs. I want to feel powerful with an IJ70 with 1,5 mag and a BK18 with 3 rounds again! ๐

Why complain about stuff you know nothing about yet? There is plenty of that on the forum already. I prefer valid points.
-
Well, I guess there are different opinions on that my man. And they said that they console version will have to wait 3 weeks longer for the updates then the pc-version - we are almost 3 months behind right now and I will say that that warrants some serious criticism! If you dont agree then enjoy 1.02 and stay focused on that. ๐
-
You are probably correct about that. ๐ But that does not make the situation any better.
-
@ImpulZ Right now it would be _very_ fair to actually let us have some real information about what is going on. As Bent.Toe points out, it does not have to be great news - but just keep us in the loop instead of this joke. You guys pretty much screwed us on the 1.03 and we have not seen any updates for month even though you guys stated that we are "3 weeks behind the pc-version" (yeah right, we are more then 3 weeks after 1.04 for pc and we STILL have not even seen 1.03......) so right about now would be a really good time to actually spill the beans. This is turning into a real bad joke by now and any kind of info could be seen as good damage reduction which would be the professional thing to do after pretty much ignoring the console-people for 2-3 months.
-
The DLC won't be launching until the end of the year, and who knows when (and in what shape) it arrives on consoles. It is the 1.03 and 1.04 updates we are waiting for. ๐

What a ghosting little prick, shooting a bunch of people chilling and enjoying themselves is damn low - he could have at least have started throwing insults out the window and made it an interesting fight. Nice video by the way! ๐

I think you are misunderstanding something... You are NOT supposed to survive being caught or surrounded by a mob of zombies. If you get into a situation like that then you probably made a wrong decision somewhere on your path - like making too much noise (and thereby attracting attention) or not trying to a closed door between you and the zombies fast enough. As Impuls pointed out; ranged weapons are for ranged combat, and even the best melee weapons are not supposed to be able to take care of a horde of zombies up close - this ain't Dead Rising 5 and the standard setting is ultra hardcore. ๐
-
The update is cumming? Then that's why 1.03 was delayed, its busy on porntube...
-
If you look at which games that has some kind of mod-support (which really is not that many on Xbox) then you will notice that most of them if not all are single-player titles and not massive multiplayer games like DayZ. The Xbox-system is a closed system that you can't tinker with as a regular user, and being able to upload scripts that affects how servers work and whatnot would possible allow for backdoors to the system. If BI had their say in it then mods would probably be out for the xbox-version already, but that is Microsofts decision...
-
Can you try to take a pic of it with your phone?
-
In general try not to fire your weapon unless you _really_ need to - there are a bunch of good reasons for it. Killing 1 zombie with a gun usually attracts 10 more, and thats always bad. Ammo is scarce, you never know when you run out. Other players gets a clue on your location and will most likely come in to investigate. Yesterday me and two mates had just arrived at NWAF to look for some fun, and one of them decides to fire his Mosin at a single zombie (that could have been killed with melee without a problem as there was just one) and 20 seconds later we got 30-35 zombies on us and everything is utter chaos just because he wanted to have a bit of "fun" with his gun. He got killed by the zombies and I ended up getting his plate carrier, I hope he learned his lesson. ๐

Ill still put my money on the DLC being a Battle Royale-mode for DayZ. That map you just referred to if also for another game, not for DayZ - its the same developer though but ARMA3 ain't DayZ. They have already posted some info about it, so that would make most sense in my mind.

That statement is almost a year old, and if it has not been implemented yet then I am not sure it is ever getting implemented. The new status rapport (from today) can also be read as if the broken bones-mechanics are not getting implemented again after all... Edit: spelling.
