Not really thrilled with the new drinking from a pump. I the past I would drink until full. Soon as seeing the full icon I would stop and My character would not vomit and could go a good distance before drinking again. Last night I tried same tactic but I would vomit as soon as the full icon displayed. Seems that the food and water meters are running down faster than before. Also wishing the night cycle was a little less. I get too scared in the dark of zombies to run and loot, and I am paranoid to travel since I might get hunted when they see my torch or flashlight. Same reason I don't do campfires at night. TBH I'm not good at pvp so thats why I try to avoid conflict.

So I am going to be placed in a random spawn location each and every time I log into a new server? I ask because I don't have any specific servers that I use. I am casual and just log in to random servers whenever I play. Sometimes I may want to play on a low server, sometimes a full one.

I joined a private server last night. I spawned as a new character on the beach. Did I loose my character and gear I had before joining this server? Will it be the old character if I go back to previous server?

So first off this is not a rant, just some thoughts that keep running thru my mind. Not looking to be toxic or start a debate. I been playing since release. I have known of Dayz for years and watched videos, so of course thrilled when learning it was coming to console. But now it seems like everytime there is an update or fix, things change, sometimes drastically. Button assignments, inventory process, food/water, lots of things. Why is that? I get it that devs want to put alot of content into the game, and most players seem to want the content and variety, but I can't help but wonder if there was less emphasis on content and more attention to game play if we could get more stable performance? Would things run smoother with fewer items and a few less actions/functions? I just wonder if the game was toned back a little if it would help?

@Nayte According to the wiki you should wash your hands before drinking from the well. But I didn't see any option for that (maybe I need to look closer?). Tincture idea sounds like its worth a try, of course I was finding them left and right yesterday and never picked one up. Wiki said Tetracyclene pills will cure this but good luck finding any when you need them. Did you initially drink straight from the well or filled the pot and drank from that?

No raw meat, happened after first fresh spawn after update, was only in game 10-15 minutes at most. Strange huh?

I thought I had lost stuff but it reappeared when the number of items in my backpack went down to a certain level. Didn't we have similar issue with inventory in the past?

I am ill and have not eaten anything but apples and canned food. Searched thru Dayz WIki site and found mechanic that you have to wash your hands before drinking from pump (which I had done) and I think thats what happened to me. Also this new drinking mechanic, seems I get full and vomit very easily and can not get "full" like before. I was experiencing not being able to see everything in my inventory. Menu not expanding. Had to drop items so that I could see what else was in my backpack.

I Got to a mil base yesteray. No weapons, lots of 9x39 ammo and clothing. Killed a zombie and took his tac vest. I had to take it into hands then hit Y. 2nd zombie vest was ruined, had to take it to hand then transfer items it held into my inventory by pressing X. Went into another tent and found a hiking backpack (badly damaged) with a 9v battery and an apple in it. Needed them both but no matter what I did could not retrieve any of the items out of it into my inventory. It feels like hit or miss but there has to be some kind of process, some method to the madness I'm sure.

yes but has tendency to keep slipping off, but have been able to use the directional ''+'' left and right but can't use up as clamp is holding downward

I have been experimenting with a tarp clamp I had from home depot. Abit unsightly but it seems to work keeping the mic on.

I have found that if I hear the howling, eventually they show up. Last time I heard them I ran back to nearby village and hunkered in a house . Sure enough they arrived, this was the third time I have ran and sheltered after hearing howling and they showed every time. Then it was battle royal with the zombies. After 10-15 minutes I got inpatient, started shooting them through window. Got a few and the rest seemed caught up in their WWF bout so I ran out the back door to see if I could make an escape. Well that didn't work. The wolves started running downhill after me after I got like 50-75 yards away. Though I don't like to brag about it but I knew I was dead meat and couldn't make it back to shelter so logged out and got clear with minimum injury.

I keep getting kicked from server and then complete wipe when rejoining. This does get frustrating after the 3rd-4th time. I hope there is a fix soon as there is no sense (to me) in playing if each and EVERY game session is a totally fresh spawn.

Hey sorry if I upset you. Was just kidding, the whole serializing guns and all reminded me of gun control debates. If I offended my bad, and definitely not trolling. And now to be on topic, I personally make myself stay on nighttime server if such when I log on. Most times there are no other players so heavy concentration on avoiding the zeds and the prospect of decent loot because the server gets empty.

Great.....serialize ALL our weapons, what next, start limiting magazine capacities? Background check when we find loot? Lets just post "This is a gun free zombie zone" signs everywhere, that should stop people from doing wrong. If we do not stand vigilant in protecting our apocalypse arms rights we shall soon be losing them all!!🤣

Logged in last night after updating and it was night on the server. I watched the clock and i was around 20 minutes before it started getting light. Has anyone ran through a whole night cycle yet and timed how long it is? I stay on the server when it gets dark, just how I like to play but I do know many will log out to find a different server in daylight.
