That definition is pretty far streched. Even clothings do affect gameplay, they reduce incoming damage, give you space to store items, you get the picture. ...and holy moly, those prices are insane. -
That would be the most peaceful DayZ experience we ever had. As of now, i can only offer you some cheese to your whine.

2 crashsites? Come back after 10 or 15, then its kinda representative. As i said, rare loot is rare, you are not supposed to find high end weapons EVERY time.

While DayZ is pretty well known for being buggy, did you ever thought of the possibility that someone was just there a couple of minutes before? Or maybe that you just had no luck? Or maybe that rare loot is sometimes rare? This is getting just as worse as the "everyone is a cheater because i don't know how i died" phase.

Yeah. I've been there too for a couple of years, you'll get over it sooner or later. Haven't watched that stream, if they have new info they should post it here. But thats too oldschool i guess.

Wait for your server to get ready and, depending on the time it took, open a support ticket at nitrado and ask for a discount. Whats what i/we would do in that situation. ...and be glad you don't have to deal with even worse server hosters like Fragnet...brrr...the bane of my existence. -

Several PS4 Servers going offline on August 28th

According to this post and several other posts here in this forum, you'll get "several thousands" of locked 10 slot community servers. Aren't you happy!? -
Take a look at the history of DayZ. Its been there since Dean gave access to the mod with 3-4 servers. I remember spending more time trying to get on a server then playing on some days. You can bet that we would not be here if this "solution" would have been in place since day 1. Pre 1.0 it was also possible for communites to share their hive-shard with slave servers. If ghosting was happening it wasnt too hard for admins to detect it with logs and act accordingly. Was it fun? Nope. Was it better then this teleportation nonsense? Yes. I wouldnt even think about setting up a Master/Slave now. ...and, as already stated, this is just one example of abusing the system. Got into trouble somewhere? Eh, just hop and teleport to safety.

TBH i took a step back when they released the server files and our community started the first modded server, due to my stress levels hitting the roof thx to RL stuff. Thats why i never tinkered with mission files yet personally. Are you maybe planning a guide or a summary of what you found out (or maybe you already did)? Could be very helpful for all of us. Edit: Dont you worry console dudes, sooner or later, well more likely later, you will have more control over what you can do

So, does anyone have any REAL proof about what you are saying, like a quote from a dev? All i can find from an official standpoint is pretty much telling the exact opposite of what i keep hearing (quote: "Items in tents/backpacks/player inventories are not part of the calculation!"), its a pretty old source though from 0.5something. I would be really glad to get some newer info about the matter, questions about loot, storage and how its calculated will keep coming and a source to point at would be neat. Edit: that pic above is a good start.

You cant. You can rent a server but there is no way (yet) to get your hands on those files afaik.

Yeah well, i know, but i just like to point out errors. Especially in a post several days old because of a certain delay, which would have given them enough time to proof read at least once. Show some quality. Customer care 101: customers are getting very picky with what you say and do after they had one or several bad experiences with you or your company.

Well, future is pretty far fetched, but lets hope for the best. My story is pretty similar. Haven't played for quite some time, registered for SGZ just for the sake of it and the good memories. Vanilla still screams "unfinished" and looking at the recent status report, things aint going to change soon. Its just sad...so many hopes for the game, smashed over and over again. -
I think they went poof with 0.60, but using a pen to mark areas, never heared of that.

70% of all survivor cant even read the road signs due to language barriers, maybe we all survived on ships and our character is just one of the unlucky who got stranded cause the ship sunk. Nobody knows.

Copyright and money most likely. Gotta admit, haven't checked out many mods myself yet but quality may also be a reason. As for the point of this thread and the feeling OP descripes, couldn't have said it better.

I am pretty sure somewhere on the looong way of development there was talk about implementing drugs, the use of it and the descriped effect. Please apologise me for not looking for some sources, its too damn warm just now. Thinking of it, alot of games have this kind of features to some degree. Stalker and Skyrim comes to my mind. -

Here you go, officially: You console guys got it even worse with just 1 provider and less options. Good luck to all future admins trying to set up RP servers and the like.
