Im pretty much sticking to 1 server now, 3664170. Its my home for now on

Every server has been raining. Its a bug. The weather isnt tied to server pop. Ive tried over 25 high pop and they are all raining.

I hope its going to be patched this week. I dont even care if its a tiny hotfix as long as it fixes the bugged weather

Control remapping and in depth controller setting customization is coming to the game soon. Bohemia claims theres fundamental technical and software issues that they need to change in order to facilitate control customizations. These technical issues are why we cant unjame, cycle mosin bolt and pump the shotgun slide. They also said these changes, when they come, will allow high magnification scopes to work properly and be added (hunting scope). We just have to wait.

1. Make sure you're running the lastest version of Dayz and that you have an active Xbox Live Gold Subscription 2. Check your NAT type. It should be open. 3. Hard reset your Xbox One and router 4. Make sure you connect to servers that are appropriate for your geographic location eg. UK should connect to NL which is Netherlands. 5. Uninstall and reinstall the game. 6. Make sure your Xbox's system software is up to date 7. If all else fails, look into Port Fowarding your Xbox and respective games. Youtube has fantastic tutorials on how to Port Foward. It is a little technical and tedious but it always has solved any connection issues i have had. 8 pray to the Dayz gods to allow passage into their realms ;)

It seems that players outside of the US has issues. Check Dayzs twitter to see if the servers could be down

if a fence is build fresh it works as intended. After the server restarts, it becomes a phantom fence. It a persistance bug. The base i came across must have just been built.

And one thing thats disappointing is that when bohemia changed the games engine, they gutted most of the legacy backend code that carried over from when dayz ran on Armas engine needed to implement AI soldiers and bandits. They gutted AI flanking, formation, pathfinding and other importent features needed for AI smarter than zombies. They did it to streamline the code and they figured they didnt need those things. It would be alot of work for them to put it all back in again and get it to work nicely. Our best chance for these features is for modders to do it.

Another thing is that the whole continent is in the game its just not populated with anything its just grass and hills for miles. The basic shape is all there. I have seen a video where someone drove along the coast outside of the map and you can see the coast shape. It matches the map above.

Its a game preview. They added it in so we could test it out and squash any bugs related to building and to make sure it works as intended. It will be fixed soon.

In fact for me fences have always been solid.

Bohemia should look into an xbox experimental testing branch for xbox insiders. DICE did it for BF4. An xbox experimental branch would expedite the bug fixing work that is now done by the PC branch and bohemias limited staff in internal testing. It doesnt make much sense for the PC to test xbox patches because they have a completely different inventory system and xbox has some bugs exclusive to its inventory system. Anyway, it would be cool. One could wish i suppose.

Maybe tuesday, wednesday or thursday. Those are the days they usually release patches. Rarely do they release one monday or friday (because they cant fix the game if something goes horribly wrong during the weekend) and thursday is the last day they can submit a patch . Remember, they need to submit any new update to xbox for validation and validation takes anywhere from 24-36 hours. Xbox doesnt validate on weekends. If anything comes up during xboxs testing of the patch, it will be denied and the devs will need to fix it and resubmit it. If xbox wasnt a closed ecosystem, bohemia could release patches whenever they want.

The PC and xbox are both the same architecture x86-64. The xbox literally is a pc. The hassle is optimizing the software to work with the underpowerd hardware and to function with a controller.

It seems like everyone but US has connection issues. Check your NAT type and make sure its open. Try reseting your router.
