Server locked chars may be a solution, but those issues would just end up not getting fixed which could lead to other problems. Also, the amount of data to save each char and gear etc would drastically go up. Idk about DayZs data collection, but i do know a bit of elite dangerous since they ( frontier devs ) talked about such things. All of the elite players ( a couple thousand on pc/ps4/Xbox ) already causing TBs of data 2-5 or something ( not sure ) each day. But: DayZ does work completely different than the data "have to save everything for the background simulation" monster ED ( systems u discovered, faction standing etc etc etc ) so idk how much data would be required. A local data storage could be an option, but could also be used one day to manipulate ur data to get advantages and stuff like that.

I did experience something similar a few months back. It was supposed to be a raid event. We got trapped and backstabbed by the event starters and i got killed, because i didnt want to just shoot everyone. I respawned and ran back, but on the way back i could hear voices, shots etc. Got back to the meeting point and the bad guys were gone. Other ppl got there as well and we went inland to get loot. The whole session was like a ptsd trip. I heard shots and other voices over and over again. Every few minutes. It was weird, but kinda interesting tbh.... And i found some handsome new friends. Geez, we had a lot of fun.

Apart from the duplication stuff is this game worth getting on the xbox at the moment?
xhardcorefishx replied to Nick Moro's topic in New Player Discussion
Terraria&Minecraft: aRe wE A JoKE tO yOU ? 😁 DayZ has such a unique experience that no other DayZ inspired game was like DayZ was since years now, but at the same time its a great thing. Why tho ? Nobody want a clone of a game, but most other devs tried to build their game with their own visions anyway with their own focus etc ( like scum with pvp airfield focus, or rust with base building and base raiding focus ) A big problem and saviour can be mods 4 a game. In terms of DayZ its both a thing ( like 4 most games ), because a lot don't understand that devs create their games and visions ( of course, that can also be a problem ), but mods can take heavily impact on ppl opinions about the base game aka vanilla > "why does it take so long to implement this or this... Modders does that way more efficient than you" Modder doesn't need to implement animations that fit perfectly, or dont have to implement vehicle physics. They dont really have to deal with copyright laws etc and "only" need to fix their code, if issues appear. Pls don't misunderstandd me ( or anyone else ). I know first hand that modding can be extremely hard and time consuming. -
Bug report and playing the waiting game. We have Saturday after all today and BI doesn't work then. I hope you will get an answer on Monday, but remember: Bugs and glitches are only fixable, if they are able to replicate it.

The only thing so far i would like to see tweaked : The smoke should be thiccer
-
I played yesterday and had great and overall better fps in big cities compared to our normal servers, however, it wasn't perfect at all of course, but im sure the next test is already planned. I played on my X
-
Im not that happy as well, but i experienced myself much better fps, less or no dupers at all ( couldn't tell, if players had duped stuff, but all the camps i found were empty ( wanted to destroy them myself, but that was maybe just a false conclusion by me ). Leaning left and right is better too now, if u get used to it. We will see how it turns out. The next update looks promising, except the smoke right now and could use a buff in size ( thickness of the smoke)

I can get a complete white outfit now thanks to the missing texture \o/ Obviously i just made a little joke here, but maybe i still should do it *thinks*...

Todays update messed it up. It wasn't ready to get released, but got. Have to deal with it till the devs can fix it.
-
I love DayZ since the mod, but i also have to definitely agree here. It feels like a mess since weeks and months tbh. We don't know whats happening with the Game, or the Team, but at least tell us about game related stuff ( don't even need to be hyper specific ) please. The communication is still not good, but todays update related post was and im thankful for it. Fixing issues aren't easy, especially when the system we are on is a reason things are broken. Love you. Bye.

Well, its a broken hotfix, but besides that it got probably changed, cause we werent able to use the quick slot menu while prone. It just doesnt feel finished.

Gets fixed with the next update

Seems like my speculations were kinda right. July... Oh my goodness

These set rules are all technical stuff: Loot spawn, zeds etc
-
Well i definitely can see the point of this topic. Back then on the 360, there was a indie game called Total Miner: Forge ... Yes, it was inspired by Minecraft, but was a 360 exclusive ( even before mc on consoles and its now on pc too ). The very small dev team created a awesome game, but the lead developer doesnt just wanted a mc clone or whatever, so he decided to add rpg elements, lvl system ( was optional for survival ), scripting and even wanted to build a infinite world generator, but with the end of the 360 Microsoft didnt gave greenlight for the One version unfortunately ( probably because of the mojang deal )... Back to topic ( and sorry for my heartbroken ( lol ?! ) little text ): DayZ doesnt want ppl to limit their experience in a way. Its a sandbox with some set rules. Thats it. But, if we could get our hands on mods, this might be possible.

I should not be this geared within 10 mins of spawning
xhardcorefishx replied to Anyeurysm's topic in Xbox
Would be the best thing for Xbox dayz... After the duping fix of course. -
Private Server would be a huge&awesome addition. Roleplay Deathmatch Survival Etc etc Most on PC are modded, but i suggest u may take a look across the platforms over to PC DayZ to get an idea of it.
-
We shouldnt forget tho that we will need an app too to adjust the server settings etc... Or an ingame build-in feature for this ( menu screen or whatever)
-
Why is everyone suggesting there is a update that will be coming very soon??
xhardcorefishx replied to Sil3nt's topic in New Player Discussion
Well, i kinda agree on an update dropping too, but im a bit more carefully with estimating a potential update: Within the next 4 - 6 weeks But why i think "so late" ? Well, we all know DayZ released on PS4 as well so they might update us together, not just Xbox first or something like that, because of being not in preview anymore... I wish, we could have a experimental version as well. -
Yeah. Same, but not for so many titles on my side tho.
-
Isnt Vigor Xbox exclusive ? Anyway, an ea program similar to the xpp would be nice for you guys.

Hey Folks, most of my time i play DayZ is as a solo player aka Lone Wolf and since the very beginning of DayZ on Xbox i feel like an huge amount of other players underestimate players like me. I don't use typically ARs ( one reason is duping ), but prefer sniper rifles, pistols, pdws, or the shotgun ( 00 buckshots are beastly ) and every group, or Squad i encountered so far ( since August 2018 ) usually end up getting killed by me, or at least most of them every time. I might just be lucky in some way and don't think the others are just "bad" or whatever, but whenever i do PvP they seem confident etc in what they are doing. As we all know, DayZ requirs many factors to be considered, but i would like to know your opinions as well on this topic and want to read your stories about it.

Is it just me or does the XBOX community get treated like a red headed step child?
xhardcorefishx replied to Sil3nt's topic in New Player Discussion
Like 99% of developers actually does. The devs arent wizards folks and bug fixing and other improvements takes a lot of time. Edit: DayZ is a complex game+open world. best thing to get bugs and issues all over the place ( as we experienced by ourselves too ). -
Tbh this duper base is still small. At Tissy MB - there was a massive one on NL4026 Completely full with basically everything you can imagine. Lets hope they can deal with it soon.
