Agreed. I can't understand why they wouldn't implement server locked characters... They honestly have to, It makes no sense not to...

Exactly what I was thinking! Not even going to waste my breathe. Tents and barrels will suffice... The idea of locking your loot to one server makes sense to me. If you change servers you lose your loot. This would solve all server hopping and unfair base raids all together in my opinion...

US 4308 Busy, Raining, daylight

Got trapped in a summer camp lodge after I accidentally aggro'd a zombie. He got in through a closed door. Nearly had a heart attack, then the swarm that he riled up were popping in through the walls, Chest high deep in the floor. They looked like midget torso zombies piling into the lodge. The frame rate drops were to significant to shoot my way out. So I went all out with my steak knife and piled up the bodies. Would have been a terrible way to go out. Killed 9 zombies with my steak knife before I could finally relax and start a campfire in the lodge next to the pile of bodies. This glitch is pretty bad. Needs to be fixed a.s.a.p

Biggest update since launch. Expect a character wipe with every content update. Good luck finding some new goodies!

It's the izh... errr ummm BK-14 I think it's called now. May have something to do with the fact that I took it off a dead guy? Who know's I'll have to mess with it tonight.

I've heard the shotgun is bugged. It crashes the game when it is in your inventory sometimes, and I have heard others report the same issue you have as well. I'm just avoiding it until a hotfix is implemented.

My buddy and I saw one go zooming down a road in the distance. So they are in fact in the game, and operable with the necessary parts.

Also I killed a man yesterday... He came at me with an axe first (self defense) and I was looting him with no problems. Thought I heard something. Exited inventory to check it out. Went back into inventory and was not able to switch to my dead enemies loot column. Had to leave some choice items behind.

I can't seem to manually move my rifle from my backpack to my back. Have to drop it and pick it back up, making sure my pack is full enough for it to not be placed in there. Really quite annoying.

How long has it been since we were updated on the progress that is being made on the console version? In my opinion the last update hardly even counted, seeing as all it covered was hot fixes for the minuscule problems... There is no freshness to this game anymore. I truly must ask you all what are you even doing to keep it fun? I've run out of ideas. It's so effing bland with no sickness, no stick ups, constant rain, lack of weapons and gear... I mean I understand having a few good weeks on these servers but surely there can't be people playing everyday... What is the appeal at this point?

I mean 5 years later and the PC version has the same number if not more bugs than the xbox version. I've lost hope in this game being bug free... If you all would like to keep your fingers crossed and wait another 5 years for a completely polished version be my guest... The reality of the situation for myself is that this game is medium fun, and I'd like to go out with a frilly bang before I drop it altogether for a better title. Sorry not sorry.

I disagree. Had a handful of encounters with people, that I feel wouldn't have happened pre update. I'm thrilled with the update... Yes, it is riddled with bugs, but honestly without some incentive to play, I may have completely lost interest a month from now... I think allot of the player base would have. We aren't all programmers who are content with waiting years for updates...

Build your camp closer to the coast?

Loving the new update! only had a short time to try it out but my oh my! It is riddled with new items and clothing. I had three interactions and none of them ended with PvP, In fact I made some friends. This is the freshness I was waiting for. Good on yah BI.

I don't have 65 posts of complaining... I do report bugs when I encounter them. You say all of those things are "superficial" when in reality they are some of the only things keeping people from going full blown PvP. When there are more things to manage, and more special items to be found on loot missions, People are less likely to engage in shoot on site combat, when they have an ulterior motive in mind. As it stands on xbox, there was nothing to grind towards. We will see how this new content update changes that dynamic.

The news of the Big update has restored hope within me. Put the game down for awhile so I could get my toes wet in some of the new big titles that came out. It's time to put those down and pick DayZ back up though. Super pumped for the update! Thank you for understanding my frustration. There are a few old bitter PC players, that fill their time by trolling the console forums, spamming me with their tales of long waiting periods. I see it to be irrelevant. This is a game preview title and is expected to be polished enough for a final product within' a 1 year time limit. I didn't see this happening with the slow roll progress. Now that I see this big update coming, I see that my expectations are fairly in line with the devs. I've come to the conclusion that PC players are bitter and if it was up to them... We would be waiting 4 more years for this update hahha

Pretty sure the plan was to catch Xbox up to speed and release 1.0 for console and PC side by side. If this game doesn't full release until quarter 2 of next year... R.I.P
