I just started playing DayZ on the computer, but still trying to find a good keybinding setup as I'm not liking the default one so much. Anyone have any suggestions, or care to share how they have theirs set?

Yeah they fixed that in the most recent update on xbox. Unfortunately they didn't incorporate cars when they did this......

As the title states. Do not park a car in a tree as you will not be able to re enter it. A buddy and I drove to NWA and parked our car inside a tree to keep it hidden while we looted. Upon returning to the car we could not re enter it. Spent over an hour trying to get back into the car. We tried cutting down the tree, taking wheels off, tried every single angle possible, nothing was working. So we took the parts out, and blew it up so it would respawn. I assumed when they said they fixed picking up items inside a tree, cars would have been as well. But apparently not lol.

We don't have this problem on xbox. The problem we have, is when you look at the leaves of a tree it like highlights it or something. So if you park your car in a bush/tree to where the driver side door is covered in leaves, you cannot enter. Your curser will say "Tree" instead of "Press X to enter" or w/e it says. There's no way around it either. Chopping down the tree only makes it worse.

Crashed maybe once in total since the last update, since this most recent update I've now crashed over 6 times. Almost died once trying to take out a horde of zombies then crashing, came back with blinking red health. Crashed while picking up a car tent, crashed again putting the car tent into the back of my car. Crashed again trying to pickup a radiator, crashed again trying to pickup a spark plug, I could go on really. I know it's a game preview but instead of adding new items they need to fix the current problems with the game, instead of creating new ones...

So I got trapped inside a house by at least 15 zombies, decided to hop servers (I know give me shit). But upon switching servers I noticed this server had the exact same loot, decided to take a stroll to some places I had already looted and sure as shit the exact same loot was there. Even went back to where I found my car to find another one in the exact same spot with the exact same parts on it. I thought maybe I was an idiot and joined the same server, but nope, joined 4 different servers. All the exact same loot. Anyone else notice this?

I agree, will prevent server hoppers from finding a specific item, only stocking up on the ones already there lol

Same thing with my jeans i have on lol was swinging my axe at a zombie and my legs just went poof, gone

So I figured out you crash every time you try and micro manage anything into a car, not sure if it's only for cars but that's all I've tested it on so far.

Anyone find any since the bug fix update? Been up north pretty much since the update dropped and have yet to find one

I have the app. I've yet to find one though after well over 10-20 hours of gameplay up north since the most recent patch. Did you find them since the very latest update?

Goes away after about an hour or so from my experience. I was also solo every time i got sick so you guys might just keep passing it around in a never ending loop.

So a few weeks back I was fully kitted out in berezino helping out fresh spawn and trying to kill geared fresh spawn hunters. Well I met this one guy who had a big long story about being betrayed and killed by his squad mates. So I agreed to try and help kill them. We partied up, were talking for well over an hour while we ran all the way back to balota mili base where he got killed (took us an hour because we heard lots of gun shots along the way and wanted to stay clear). Seemed nice enough, but then all of a sudden he says his food is stuck inside his cooking pot, and asks if I can help him try and get it out... I didn't think too much of it and opened my inventory then BAM. Shot me in the head with a chambered IJ-70.. Thank god I was wearing a ballistic helmet as it saved my life. He starts apologizing saying he's so sorry, and he has no idea how the gun got in his hand, aimed at my head, and pulled the trigger.... I said are you fucking kidding me, blasted a full mag of 556 into him and he starts calling me an asshole for killing him. Shortly after that I left the party and blocked him only to find out he reported me on xbox live and I got a 24 hour party chat ban...... Like what? I still help fresh spawns to this day but never squad up with anyone I haven't know for a while.

Just a little tip for all you survivors. Whatever you do, do not get too close to the cars, especially while they're running. You will be flung 10 thousand feet into the air only to fall gracefully to your immediate death if you do get too close. Another tip, or glitch might I add, is the cars as of right now require only wheels to be fully functional. Although a spark plug is very nice as it removes the "Start engine" animation, it is not required to actually drive it. Also I almost forgot to add, if you disconnect while in the car (not so much while driving as the car will usually be ahead/behind you upon loading back in) you will again be flung 10 thousand feet into the air. This only happens if you load back into the game while standing where the car is.

Yes, I agree. The zombies are very buggy right now and I feel your pain as I also have an original xbox one...

When a zombie notices you it alerts every other zombie around them with it's scream. Technically it was a glitch before this patch as do you really think a zombie screaming when he sees you wouldn't attract other zombies? But yeah it was the zombie screaming that attracted more not you hitting it, as I've done some testing myself. :P

A little tip on the bases, seems like common sense but you would be surprised.. If you don't properly place a sea chest/barrel rather than just dropping it and storing your items in it; it will despawn. Happened to me after building a base with a buddy, as he dropped the chest instead of placing it. I thought we got raided at first but then realized everything in the barrel I placed properly and our tents were still there and intact. I haven't heard of someone's actual base despawning yet though, I mean walls and watchtowers. I wouldn't be surprised if they did though, plus the devs have almost guaranteed us that bases will be wiped eventually following every update. That's why I haven't wasted my time building an actual base and have just been setting up tents and such as I find them. Besides, base building is really only for fun even if they didn't get wiped as they serve no real purpose as of right now, other than maybe keeping out wolves if you're up north?? Considering they can't just ghost in like players. Making small camps/stashes to store loot, is where it's at.

Just found a car.. Spent well over 10 hours the first 2 days of the big release looking for one and I find one while trying to find a place to make my base.....Right as I was losing hope of ever finding one. Btw they do spawn at the ada 4x4 car spawn locations on the Izurvive map, at least this one did. Now the hunt for parts begins.

Speak of the fucking devil no longer that 5 minutes after I posted that reply I find a car........ Wasn't even looking for one fuck yeah!
