Why would you need to? You can't catch anything from empty containers.
-
Huh? When? It was working the other night
-
Same here. Occasionally if I get an unlucky new start at night in the rain I might catch a cold until I get fed warm and dry. Other than that I've managed to avoid most maladies
-
Dayz had had hackers and cheaters in it going right back to the mod days. Loads of videos going back eight years show this.

Rework sickness and Zombie awareness!

It's the omicron variant! -
CoD is rife with cheating and that's a major AAA title. All online games have cheaters. As others have said, cheating needs to be addressed but the horse has already bolted unfortunately.

Rework sickness and Zombie awareness!

I'd rather die trying to survive than suicide or give up. That's the whole point of the game for me. -
Rework sickness and Zombie awareness!

Well it's hardly an option. Either bandage or bleed out right? I don't mind the way it currently is. Iodine or disinfectant seems easy enough to find and rags are a plenty. Never had the issue with salmonella but I play solo, so couldn't say for sure if that's a thing. -
He's literally given you the solution. There are easy servers (3pp) or hard servers (1pp). What don't you understand about that? People offer advice and you just insult them rather than having a discussion.

I must be blessed. Still haven't had a vehicle do weird shit yet. Been driving a truck around cherno all week without issues. Good old og xbox one ;\

What are you doing to keep getting sick?
-
Yeah probably. They've obviously watched some edited videos of someone with epic loot. Good fit the lolz though
-
I know right? You'd almost think they'd meant it to be some sort of zombie apocalypse survival game. Totally mad.

Guns / items wear and cleaning / repair
DayzDayzFanboy replied to General Zod's topic in Suggestions
I'd certainly like to see guns spawn with parts missing. Currently way too easy to get a gun and ammo. Like most things, once you're off the beach everything is too easy, lasts too long, etc. -
Adding a game mechanic for this is not a great idea. This is a game where people should be allowed to play however they want. This would change that.
-
Yeah, this would be so much better. The existing map is so awkward to use too.

Guns / items wear and cleaning / repair

Not clear where you're coming from. Personally I rarely carry military guns. I might have a silenced pistol for the occasional awkward infected where a stealth kill isn't practical. Maybe a hunting rifle for food, though a fishing rod serves just as well. A survival game doesn't mean relying upon guns. I think things such as scarce ammo, guns wearing out, etc, as with any item such as sewing kits, food, whatever, make the player more cautious. Think more about what they have and how/when to use it. What's the point of having unlimited ammo, food, unbreakable guns. Once you're geared there is no longer an incentive to search the map. It is, after all, a survival game and it should be a constant challenge to survive. Everyone plays there own way of course but official should be tough. If you want easy mode there are lots of community servers that cater for this. -

I think it's fine as it currently is. If everything had improved lifespan there is a lot less incentive to continue looting. Also, knowing that your weapon wears down more quickly might make people less trigger happy. Or, for those that are a bit trigger happy, they'll have to quickly adapt when their AR is ruined. Personally I like survival games to be hard. Moderator edit: Removed unnecessary provocation. -
Ability to stealthkill while zombie is in the "huh?"-mode
DayzDayzFanboy replied to Gregor Lenhardt's topic in Suggestions
I honestly don't seem to have difficulties with them. Been wearing boots too. As long as you don't crouch run. -

I can't see what the problem is with the current stealth kill mechanic. Crouch walk up behind an infected and stab him -
What better way to hide a vehicle?
DayzDayzFanboy replied to Riddick_2K's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, this is certainly true. Back when I did this was before car parts spawned on wrecks. Most people didn't bother searching wrecks that far inland because there was generally nothing of much use. But now I suppose its a bit riskier. I don't really bother with vehicles and bases. Lots of work for little benefit. But sometimes if I'm just roaming about and come across a car that doesn't need too much fixing on it I might repair it. But I'll generally leave it somewhere in the open when I log off as I only get on occasionally so hopefully someone else can benefit from it. -

I once parked a car near the edge of the map at one of those border check points with the lines of car wrecks. Took the parts off and buried them nearby. It just looked like part of the line of cars and was there for an age. -
Definitely. At least with shirts.

This would be a cool feature. Leaving maps for someone to find with a X marked on it!
