I've had a couple of kills at tents in balota, they were also carrying two ARs, mags for days and tac bac. Sad really, if they just want to be instantly geared they might as well play CoD
-
Well I'm playing dayz just fine with rarely any issues. I left bf4 for nearly a year until they fixed it. So, it depends what you mean by playable. Subnautica was running at such a low frame rate that it really was unplayable. I left that game alone for quite a while too.

I'm UK and tend to play on US servers purely because I never used to be able to get into euro servers. Plus, US servers generally have English speaking players
-
OK, wondered if it was something like that. I was guessing maybe it was how loud or quiet your character was based on equipment carried/worn. I'm sure I saw something similar on a version of experimental maybe? So is it something to do with crafting speed /skill? Edit... Just read link. Sounds interesting. Something we don't have to think about, but is there for those that want to specialise. Do we know when this is likely to become functional or is it already working?
-
If and when they bring pens in, this would be a cool idea. Treasure hunts would be great, especially when the server reset times are increased. Might take a while to follow the clues!
-
Ah, more abuse! I guess you don't like someone having a different view point to you. I get it, every forum has one. I was merely saying I dont mind it and never said it wasn't awkward. Dayz will naturally have a more complex inventory system to games a lot of people are used to because you can do more things in it. I don't know if you've played Ark, but again, that's a fart about too. Maybe it could be simpler. Why don't you present your ideas to fix it rather than just whining about it and insulting other forum members.
-
Oh really? Well I've never combat logged yet, and I don't think abuse in a forum will really support your argument. You were suggesting 30mins to an hour. I think if you had to wait an hour after being kicked from a server before you could play again, maybe people like you would have something else to moan about.
-
Hmm, have you ever played battlefield 4? That games netcode was a mess for at least a year. Played Ark? Nice frame rate right? Played skyrim? Broken missions. Operation flash point? Where do I start! This game has been out one month, in GAME PREVIEW.
-
Would you care to expand on that?
-
The argument is really more about balance as oppose to how easy it is to get used to. Most players wouldn't have mouse and keyboard so would be at a disadvantage unless servers distinguished between m&k/pad
-
Sometimes a character will get locked in a database randomly, at least for no reason I can see. It normally unlocks after five or ten mins though some have complained it takes longer.
-
You have a very high opinion of yourself. No need to throw abusive remarks around
-
I'm amazed that there are people struggling with this. Really?
-
I find the inventory pretty straight forward. Took some getting used to but I like the fact that it's just as awkward to rummage through a backpack in real life. I think a lot of gamers are just used to being able to press a button and bring up any item instantly. Not realistic. This isn't a game for lazy players and Cod kiddies.

Until private servers appear with RP groups playing in them, trust nobody.
-
That would be way too long. Thirty to sixty seconds would easily be adequate.
-
I'm not sure that's true, I've walked right up to a cow and shot it in the face with a pistol before it ran off, took six shots with a 38 to put it down. Not sure about other animals. Also had my first encounter with wolves recently. In an open field in mid West. Saw them in the distance. Thought it was a player at first and then they attacked. We killed four before they ran off. Heard some more five mins later but never saw them. Maybe they were chasing some other poor soul. Survival is so much more interesting with wild animals!
-
One would hope not, as this would give unfair advantages. It would require separate servers to keep a level playing field. If we wanted keyboard we'd play on a pc
-
I'm not sure that just hearing an animal means it's in the game. Foxes would be cool but not sure they're actually in, think it's just atmos sounds. Edit... Just read on the wiki that foxes were in so maybe they are in game now. The hunt is on!
-
I have the same problem on lots of games now. Ark is another example of too much info crammed into a tiny space. My eyes ain't what they were but I shouldn't need a magnifying glass!
-
Basically any military tents. If you sit and watch them for a few minutes you'll see someone server hop in and out again. Seems that a lot of kids just do that. Everytime I'm in a tent area, someone spawns in, panics because someone else is there, and logs out to find another server.

You don't need matches, you can make a fire drill from bark and sticks -
Hatches, Alice pack, improvised courier and improvised backpack, matches, Fire drill, campfire, flashlight, compass

Agreed. Personally I don't like using mouse and keyboard. Also, I imagine most console users aren't really set up for mouse and keyboard. I think the majority will have a sitting room setup that would make m+k awkward to use.
