I didn't dare go into it in case I fell through the map!

But you will be getting those things, you'll just have to wait for them. I think what a lot of people forget is that years ago when a game came out, that was it. You bought it, played it and finished it. No bug fixes, no updates, no free or paid for dlc, nothing. People have just grown to expect free content and continued support for a game. The devs have outlined what they'd like to bring to the game over time so just wait for it to come.

Not looking for trouble either, I was merely pointing out a fact. -

I'm on xbox and so nothing to do with stress test. I assume by working fireplaces, the post was referring to being able to cook in a fireplace in a house? If so, this is working on console and has done since release. Used it again last night so can confirm it's still working in console edition. -

Fireplaces do work BTW, I use them often -
Why? We're getting base building, vehicles, helicopters and plenty other stuff such as climbing, soft skills, etc. Yes, you will have to wait a while for some of these things.
-
Ah, so you're lazy? Sorry, my mistake.
-
OK, well you're clearly so far up your own arse you lost sight of reality a long time a ago. The superiority complex you seem to have developed by spending too many years moaning in forums has perhaps jaded your judgement on a number of things. Advice... try getting your life in some sort of perspective.

Why don't you follow your own advice and post these in the bug tracker. Or, better still, actually read the other posts and bug trackers and you'll see that every thing your talking about here has already been posted and reported. Stop duplicating previously reported issues.

Lol, yeah, I am an unashamed fanboy! Seriously though, there was an element of sarcasm when choosing my forum name, as I do in other forums for other games. Not sure why it said DayZ twice though, not intentional. Think I pressed something too many times on my darn phone.

What does?

I'm pretty sure the stars are accurate, I recognise some of the constellations
-
Yeah, I've made torches but haven't tried them in rain yet, does anyone know if you can use them in rain? Seems that camp fires can't be lit in the rain.

I'm pretty sure the stars are accurate, I recognise quite a few constellations and found polaris using the pointer in ursa major
-
I can go for days without seeing any and then see two in an hour! Just keep looking I guess.
-
That's a pretty good point actually there pilgrim

Lol those DayZ gods! Last night I found three torches and multiple batteries within minutes of spawning into a night server. It looks so cool running around with a torch, every time I suddenly run into a scarecrow my heart stops! But yeah, I'm having the same issue with burlap at the moment, been carrying rope for two days without finding any burlap. Finally decide to drop the rope and then find burlap in the next village!

No, I used to think American servers were generally more hostile, but after some very positive encounters on US servers and very negative encounters on euro servers I would say that its just x down to luck. I'm in UK, but tend to play on American servers purely because there's more chance of meeting English speaking players on the rare occasion people actually use mics!

What, stop enjoying the game just because you don't like it? Enjoying the game doesn't make us fanboys
-
Hmm, I wouldn't say it was pitch black, I can see enough to survive whilst still being challenged. Speaking as one of the console riff raff, I and my friends are loving the night time cycle and were disappointed when it wasn't in from the start.
-
Yep, looks about right to me too, looks kinda like night time ;}

Lol no, but he sounds class. Bumped into some great characters playing this game. Met an Australian guy wearing a pink dress, red boonie and wellies. He warned me about gun fights further up the road and went dancing on his way down the coast. Also just met two really cool Americans in a military camp. They startled me and I panic fired my mosin at them clipping one of them. Fortunately he survived and they gave me a pistol, mag, silencer and ammo. Very forgiving friendly guys. Who cares about helicopters. Human interaction makes this game.

Yeah, I'm not sure where this one year game preview deadline comes from. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but I know for sure that Ark was in the game preview programme for a couple of years before it got full release.

Looks great on my crap eight year old LG TV. Try downgrading! Seriously though, it's dark but I can see where I'm going. It's real dark in the woods, as you'd expect. Maybe if you're lost, make a camp fire and wait till dawn.
